Silent Sunday

  1. Fantastic! I do like a good squirrel shot - it's so hard to get close enough without scaring them away, and still manage to compose a focussed shot.

    1. Well this little chap was very happy to sit awhile and nibble on the tasty nuts we'd put out for him.
My next challenge will be to try to get a good photo of a robin or wren... now they are flighty!!!
Thanks for visiting my place and I hope your weekend is going well.
      Enjoy x

    1. Oh I have to confess we don't actually have snow here... the photo was taken in Canada. If you look in my sidebar you'll see the log cabin with snow.
He was a regular visitor and stayed quite a time to nibble on the goodies on offer!
Enjoy your Sunday evening and thanks for popping in to my place ;D

    2. Just been looking. Looks lovely summer or winter. Interesting with the stone chimney too, ours have internal ones that pop out through the roof.

    3. It's one of my favourite places to stay in any season.
It has so many special features... an outside jacuzzi which is amazing especially when it's been snowing and the stars are incredible, sauna, beautiful big fire, underfloor heating, amazing scenery surrounding the house along with a lake in front... oh I could go on and on. It has a predominantly French-speaking population and the fine dining in the gorgeous towns nearby is exquisite.... see I could go on and on...! :D

This shot was captured on the patio of the house in my sidebar in Canada,
I've mentioned that I'd love some snow because this last week has been so dark and dismal.

I've been so fed up with the doom and gloom here recently that I've even been wishing for colder snowy weather!
You're right about the heat over with you... I DIDN'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT!
Anyway today seems a little brighter and yesterday we did finally see sunlight.
Enjoy your heat and stay cool (I know you're always cool)
Have a great week and thanks for visiting yet again even when I give you abuse

We also have chipmunks but I have to be careful with the door because I'm sure they'd be in if they couldn. I have visions of the Disney movie when the chipmunks came into the house on the Christmas tree ;D

    1. Slight confession Darren,
It's been so dark and dismal last week that I couldn't really take any decent photos so I used one of my favourite one's from Canada.
Thankfully it's gone colder here now which means the sun has found us once again!
Apologies for my late reply... I hope your week is going well.

Unfortunately I haven't managed to get a decent clear photo of one... but I'll keep trying ;D

This little cute squirrel was photographed in Canada. I couldn't believe that he came to us daily for his snack. I hope to meet him again.
The snowy log cabin in my sidebar shows the patio area that he visits.
I'm hoping that I might be lucky to take a photo of the red squirrel here in Aberdeenshire, but they are very tricky quick little critters.
      I'll keep trying though
