My Sunday Photo...The Bridge Of Dee

Rather ominous photos for this week's My Sunday Photo.
An atmospheric look at the River Dee as the clouds hang heavily laden and with high tide...there seems to be so much water around.
I feel for the local farmers who are struggling to harvest their fields.
I wanted to capture this particular shot because all of these leaves will fall to the ground soon as the brisk chilly air envelopes us here in the North East of Scotland.
But before that we shall enjoy the changing colours of the season.
This shot shows the Bridge of Dee that is possibly one of the oldest bridges in Scotland. tRecords show that here has been a crossing at this particular point in the river since the 15th century.
I'll have to get a close up of the bridge itself next time I'm crossing.

I'm linking up with My Sunday Photo over at Photalife.com
Have a great weekend and thanks for popping over to my place.
I hope to see you again soon.

    1. Well yes and no Fiona, take today for instance...it's been really a great day for being outdoors and not at all cold. In fact, there's no need for a jacket at all. Very spooky. We'll probably pay for it later although that brisk cold wind was with us for nearly a whole week. I think Cornwall will be much warmer though.

    1. I'm constantly capturing an image that makes me dash for my camera. The light is very special at the moment. I love autumn and missed it so much when I lived overseas.

    1. I've actually been brushing up leaves this morning Jennifer. They are mostly from the Virginia Creeper until the rest of the trees join in. We have quite a few large trees around our house which will keep me busy for a few days soon!
Our Muffy used to love playing in the leaves. We have a brilliant video of her trying to hunt out my son, who was buried under a huge pile of leaves. He kept calling her and she knew he was in there somewhere. The tail wag when she finally found him was incredible! :D

  6. Hi Neesie, the water look sos calm, but it does look as if a downpour is imminent. I bet the scene is totally different, but just as beuatiful after the leaves have fallen.

    1. I don't think I've ever seen so much rain as we've had over the summer months and to date. I just hope that it starts to dry up before winter and we can have some cold, crisp frosty bright days ahead.
