I think in your climate they would be perfect but unfortunately I'd have to keep mine to the bathroom if I had any. They are all so different.
I thought there wouldn't be enough colour to paint them, but it's amazing just how varied they are. Much to work on.
I hope your week is going well and the British summertime hasn't given you webbed feet...or is that just me? I could have done with it being a little warmer...but the cacti seemed to like it. They had all the windows open and it was pouring with rain outside, so not very warm outside either. We haven't seen it for days. We've had mostly thick fog, mist and drizzly rain! I'd not appreciated succulents until I'm now trying to paint them that I realise just how intricate and involved they are.
I love the term 'skeeters although not the wee beasts themselves. Thankfully living on the East coast we don't have the enormous problem that the West coast has. Please don't send them to us...I certainly don't want them...the sun is a far better idea.
Have a great weekend...I'm so slow in my replies that we've now half way through the week! Not sure about succulents mysel...Wonderful photos. Not sure about succulents myself but have now turned to them for the pots on our courtyard....I don't have to worry about the heat and watering. Fascinated by the tall cacti (in the frame of three) It looks like a llama/alpaca!! xAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04237836474748121102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6254134409987044782.post-68533525941722725962017-07-22T07:09:37.882+01:002017-07-22T07:09:37.882+01:00Love your photos Neesie! Of course having lived 20 yrs in the high desert plains of the western US one sees these growing wild. I'd send you sunshine but we haven't had much of it either. Hot temps and lots of rain. And 'skeeters (mosquitoes). Would like me to send them? :) We have more than enough to share. ;) ;) Have a wonderful weekend.
