wow, thats the first time i have ever saw something like this, does the top not get really warm? Obviously not, lol, I have no experience with an Aga, but wet dogs, oh I have lots of experience with wet dogs, lol, have a wonderful day, you and your damp doggie!
Hehe...that's good because I always like to try to bring you something different Laurie ;D The top of the Aga does get warm but not burning hot. It has two hotplates (one extremely hot and the other less so) they have heavy metal covers over the tops but some of the warmth comes through as on the main body of the Aga. This is fantastic for drying clothes and as shown in this case a dog! I'm going to be writing a post about the Aga and all that it does soon. I just need to get my act together. Thanks for popping by and you'll be glad to know Muffy's now cosy, dry and curled in her bed ^..^ I hope you're cosy and have a wonderful day too :D xoxo
Oh indeed and I even go that extra mile regularly! ^..^ The log fire is roaring and Muffy is curled up in her bed nearby...so she's a happy bunny or should that be a happy pup? Anyway...thanks for popping over to visit. Have a wonderful weekend whatever you get up to...enjoy! ;D
Awww, poor little Muffty, she doesn't look happy. Mean old mummy taking her from a nice hot place to wet old Scotland. What happened to the fabulous weather in your shots from the last post??? You'll have to get her some doggy wellington boots and a mac :) Luv Von
I'll let you into a little secret Von...this photo wasn't taken today. We didn't have any rain. I just thought it was a good one for Wordless Wednesday. I know I'm mean but sometimes you just have to do these things and trust me she loves the warmth of the Aga and the fire. But doggy wellies sound just the job...I'll keep an eye out for some ^..^ Have a great day and I'll see you soon. xoxo
You're so right Marie, the warming oven is fantastic for slowly cooking things overnight. I will no doubt have a ham scheduled in for Christmas. Lamb done really slow is wonderful too...oh the possibilities are making my mouth water, I'll be writing a post about the Aga, soon if only I could get to it! I have been visiting you but next time I'll stop to let you know with a comment because we all know how wonderful it is to have visitors! Thanks for popping over to me. Have a great weekend whatever you have planned....enjoy! ;D
I've been hugging her all morning Barbara...so much so I even took her to the Tile shop and took her in...tucked under my arm! I'll explain...we've got builders in so there's ciaos and it's so noisy that she was a quivering wreck this morning. I think the next thunderstorm won't even register with her after all of this. I think she enjoyed our trip especially when we stopped off at the park! She's now curled up in her bed next to the fire...ahh...it's a dogs life! ^..^
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by. I'm trying to get to visit everyone but it's proving difficult this week. I hope to see you soon xoxo
She was going for the sympathy vote Nan...and it looks like she got it! ^..^ She knows how to work the system for sure! She may well be longing but at the moment she'll have to be content with being curled up in her bed near the roaring log fire, which is where she is as I type this. I honestly don't think she's suffering in any way Nan. Little minx!
Have a great weekend...hopefully the sun will shine and we'll all feel good ;D Thanks for stopping by :D
I try my best...or maybe I should say I do as I'm told Sandy. I know for sure that I'm not top dog ^..^ I'm becoming friends with my Aga and with each day getting more enjoyment out of it. I'll share with you soon...how about that?
Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you soon (hopefully) xoxo
Yeah May...she certainly knows how to put that cutie oh woe is me face. I need attention, hugs and chicken...and I need it now! ^..^ I've been her slave for the last 10 years nearly and I'm still taken in by that look and those eyes. Hugs to you and I hope you're weekend is fantastic. That freezing wind is blowing today (although the sun's out) so I'm beginning to think that winter is fast approaching! :( Keep cosy and thanks for stopping by. I'll see you soon xoxo
Mufty looks likes she's the Queen Bee up on top of the warm, cosy Aga! Have you thought about getting a bigger cushions and then you can join her?! Wren x
It's not that she's spoilt or anything like that you have to understand Wren...it's just that she expects this sort of treatment from her minions ^..^ Now why didn't I think of that...roasty toasty! Mmmm ;D We've woke to 0 degrees this morning so I may well end up sitting on there myself! That's if she'll let me of course! I see you're temperature has finally risen to a reasonable springlike level. Enjoy and don't think for one minute I'm jealous will you? :$ Have fun in the great outdoors xoxo

Haha, I miss the AGA we had down South. I always cooked my hams in it overnight in the warming oven. It did a dab job of it!
