It's pretty nippy here just now with another forecast of snow to arrive overnight.
The birds are all feeling the urgency of a good meal to see them through.
Here's one of our resident buzzards perched up high on his lookout tower.
He doesn't get much peace as the local jackdaws and crows become very nervous if he's spotted in their territory. They dive bomb him constantly and give quite an aerial display.
I'm linking up as usual with Photalife.com
Thanks for popping by my place and I hope you'll be back soon
I sure hope he stays away from the ladies!!! Beautiful sky shots too! The silhouette of the birds are amazing,, and of course the ladies are lovely as well, nothing like happy hens,, I can't say I have ever seen a happy rooster,, they take their job too seriously to be happy,,probably why they don't live as long lol,, have a super lovely sunday,,
ReplyDeleteI have heard that hawks can take hens, but I'm hoping that ours is content with the masses of other birds about. The buzzard on the other hand might be a different story. When the girls are out free-ranging we always have someone on watch to look after them. We are not getting a rooster Laurie... our neighbour used to have one a few years back and they don't just crow at dawn. Her's definitely couldn't tell the time. Sometimes crowing at 3am etc!
DeleteI hope you are having a wonderful weekend too :D
I like your girls, that must be from late summer looking at the flowers
ReplyDeleteWell spotted Fiona, I've got photos I took just the other day of them out in the garden, but I'm not near the computer to post those.
DeleteI hope you're having a lovely Sunday.
