They are double headed Sunflowers (or that's what my local florist called them). I've never seen any like these before. They just caught my eye and so HAD to come home with me....
They remind me a little of a dahlia...what do you think?
I'm sure the sun got jealous when it saw these and decided to come out to compete. We hadn't seen it all morning.... |
They're positively showing off don't you think?
And then when you add them all together in a vase...
Oh my, aren't they beautiful!! I have never seen these before Neesie. They are just gorgeous!! We could use a little sunshine here! (But then again, what else is new!!!)
ReplyDeleteHi Marie, I'm glad I could send a little sunshine your way...now I'll just have to come up with how to send a little heat!
ReplyDeleteStay cosy :D
What stunning flowers! That really is a lovely display.
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth,
ReplyDeleteI just couldn't resist them when I saw them.
I actually saw some growing in a garden this afternoon too after saying I've never seen any before.
Have a great weekend :D
Lovely sunflowers! They remind me of 'teddy bear' sunflowers. Sunflowers are so very cheerful! Definitely a favourite.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Kelli,
ReplyDeleteI've just looked up 'teddy bear' sunflowers and you're right they are very similar.
They've brought me immense pleasure this past week...everytime I look at them I have to smile :)
I've been potting in the garden all weekend but there's reports that tomorrow the temperature is heading up into the 30's again.
But it's doing amazing things for my runner beans so I'll not complain!
Enjoy your Sunday :D
