Friday Floral Photos...

It's been quite a week...what with Etsy, Rafflecopter and giveaways! I've had battles beyond belief and they aren't all working as I would have liked....they all challenged my brain to its limits at times, but we're thankfully on our way into the long weekend which is timed perfectly. Time to chill out!
So I thought I'd post some photos of the flowers that I bought yesterday. I then added some foliage from the garden which adds a autumn twist and wonderful colour. The colours were amazing when the sun popped out just in time for my photo, but unfortunately it highlights how dirty my windows are at the moment.
No don't zoom in!.....hey, I've been busy and this little ray of sunshine was the first we've seen for days!

I adore having fresh flowers in the house...they make me smile :D

Then I noticed this little leaf on the table below.....casting its long shadow.

Before I go, I thought you might like to see the Protea design in its new frame....it's difficult to photograph with so much reflection. I'd have preferred to have taken the shot directly from the front but then you'd have seem my image in the reflection...not a pretty sight with the day I'd had!

I'm on a date night tonight...and yes it is with my OH! ;D

We're off to an Italian restaurant which should be 'Bellisimo'

Double Headed Sunflowers....

I'll not say much today...yeah right...my OH would chuckle at that comment and he certainly wouldn't believe it, but I feel my photo's today are enough.
They are double headed Sunflowers (or that's what my local florist called them). I've never seen any like these before. They just caught my eye and so HAD to come home with me....

They remind me a little of a dahlia...what do you think?

I'm sure the sun got jealous when it saw these and decided to come out to compete.
We hadn't seen it all morning....

They're positively showing off don't you think?

And then when you add them all together in a vase...

I hope they bring a little sunshine into your day... :D

Lush Lavender

I'm so pleased to have an abundant amount of Lavender flourishing in the garden. The colour and fragrance are amazing. Lavender is a member of the mint family and is close to rosemary, sage, and thyme. Although it is best used with fennel, oregano, rosemary, thyme, sage, and savory, I'm keen to try a recipe for Lavender Creme Brulee. Creme Brulee is one of my OH's favourites......I'm not sure when or how long it might be before I have time to do it, but its on the plan.

But before I get to baking etc, I must try and locate my camera lead, which has mysteriously gone into hibernation along with a phone charger, and Muffin's 6 month flea treatment pack to name but a few...I don't think they're necessarily together, but there again, who knows? I certainly don't....

These items have been unpacked, but they've just disappeared! They've obviously been put in a very safe place.

Thankfully, I took this photo last weekend when I had the camera leads and the weather was much better than today.
