What's on Your Workdesk ~ WOYWW 163

Morning everyone....especially my fellow WOYWWer's....well it's Wednesday again...which means show and tell for lots of creative crafters/artists and like minded people. If you're new to the term WOYWW or just here for the first time and wonder what on earth I'm talking about....
then take a look at Julia blog at Stamping Ground
It's amazing and you never know what you'll see...but be warned it can be addictive.

I can't believe that I've hardly done any art this last week because I did have good intentions. There again, I did bake a lemon dizzle cake (don't look if you value your waistline) and also I managed a challenge which involved illustrating a favourite recipe. I decided on Sausage Stew but I only gave myself a day to do it.
I'm my own worst enemy! :$
So I suppose that may be classed as being a little creative...of sorts.

I'm still using the dining room table as my desk but this week I wasn't alone....I had an invasion...not of the beastie or alien kind...but my son has been working at home and using my space!!!!
I'm looking forward to the weather warming up so that I can get back into my studio...it would be nice to have the dining room table looking like it should and to not be constantly setting up and clearing away.
And so lets get on with the show and tell.....
My son wouldn't let me include him in this photo (lots of low level noise...you know how they can be...you can't hear what's being said exactly, but you get the gist they're not happy) but the can of coke proves that he's there!
I did rush this photo so I apologise for the quality....someone got into a little tizzy because I was standing on a chair taking it!
There is another laptop on the chair at the rear of the shot...and the pears will be revealed later in the week....(hopefully)...so watch this space.  Poor Mr Kookaburra is only half dressed and I was going to add colour to him...but my heads not been in the right place this week, so I'm taking my time with him.
Maybe he'll be in all his splendour by next week?
Can you see the later afternoon sun streaming through the window....springs knocking at the door ~ Yay! ;D

I'd like to just end by thanking everyone who visited my place during last week and I'm sorry if I didn't get to you. I'll try to do better next week I promise. :D
Have fun desk hopping everyone!

    1. Hi Laurie,
I'm not sure he'll stay in my space because I tend to natter too much...I just can't help myself, but I know it can be very distracting ;D
I do try or is that I am very trying??!?!?
It's a very comfy good space to be, especially in the afternoons when the sun comes around to that side of the house.
But I'm looking forward to returning to the studio...hopefully spring will come soon. :D
      Have a wonderful Wednesday!

You will be missed but don't worry as these things are supposed to be a pleasure which obviously isn't the case when you're flinging yourself all over the place. I try to be wonder woman but come unstuck sometimes.
Just take your time and get ready for a fabulous vacation...but don't forget to tell us all about it!
Take care and congrats on the book ~ I'll pop back and leave a comment.
      Bye for now xoxo

Melting from a heat wave...oh my goodness! I hope it's not too bad. I could have tried to send you some of the fresh windy weather we've had over the last few days, but it seems to have disappeared today. Maybe it's on it's way to you after all?
I'm so happy to hear you enjoy visiting my dining-room table.
I'll hopefully have more work for you to look at next time :D

I think doing Christmassy things is perfect in this weather because when the heatings on and your all cosy indoors then the inspiration will come...not so easy in Novermber/December when the temperature starts to rise. I have difficulty with hot a Christmas! ;D

  10. Hi Neesie,

Love the looks of Mr. Kookaburra -- I remember that song from grade school! Although I had no idea about Australia or New Zealand. Ah, the sharing of space -- luckily the only one in my household is Katie the dog, who is usually on the floor and Tulip, the bird, in her cage. Although I have shown Tulip amongst my art supplies before.

  25. Hi Neesie, you're hoping for spring and we are hoping for summer ... mind you, I'd settle for your spring, it's bound to be warmer, and drier, than what we've been suffering over here these last few months. Couldn't share my desk with anyone, not even my beloved son ... you're clearly more tolerant than I am. Oh, and if I want to climb on a chair to photograph my desk, I make sure there is no one to see me ... I get nervous when my DH starts on about getting the stepladders out :) Two visits in as many days must be a record for me ... thanks for responding to my comment yesterday - it's nice of you to take the time :) Happy WOYWW, Elizabeth x #75

I have to admit my tolerance level is dipping too ;D
If I don't get on enough today I'll have to rethink and come up with plan 'B'!
I always try to respond to everyone's comments because I think it's only polite ~ if someone has taken the time to stop by then I should acknowledge that and respond...plus I love it!!! :D

I'd love to spend time reading each blog and not just the WOYWW's but then as you know that would be impossible.

I'll let Muffin know she has a fan...but heaven help me she's such a diva now that that might well make her worse ^..^
She's actually been featured quite a few times when she can fit me into her schedule but I'll keep your request in mind.

In the meantime...if you use the search engine in my sidebar and write Muffin's name in there, you'll see lots of posts about her.

Mr K is looking fine with his waistcoat on and I look forward to seeing him completely dressed next WOYWW - and in glorious colour maybe.
Thanks for sharing - Hugs, Neet #71 xx

    1. Oh please don't apologise Neet...it's just good to see you anytime ;D
I really need to get back to Mr K because he's still semi dressed on my dining room cabinet and it'll be Wednesday before I know it!
I still can't decide whether to add colour or not, which may be the reason I'm reluctant to carry on. I may just have to do twin Mr K's so that one can be coloured and one not :$
Then I can decide which I like best!
I hope your having a great weekend ~ enjoy and thanks for popping by ;D

  40. Hi Neesie - love the birdie and LOVE the big round table! I snagged your lemon cake recipe tonight and will give it a go this week. My favorite dessert -- after anything chocolate, that is -- is anything with lemon. I'm excited to try it! I'm awfully late for WOYWW, but very glad I made it here!

    Cheers,

    1. Thanks Susan,
I'm happy to hear that you like what you see here...I love blogging but it would be nothing with visitors ~ late or otherwise ;D
Chocolate is my number 1 too. I hope you try the cake and I'd love to hear what you think of it.

I'll be WOYWWing tomorrow so see you there :D
