Pretty soon you won't need much more of those _ hopefully ;) Have a good day :o))
I'm hoping so but then what would he do??? He's in his element out there ;DHave a great Sunday... hopefully a little more relaxed than this
We are doing plenty of this with our guests piling through our logs in the evenings. Great capture
We are having to get another delivery of wood next week. I was hoping that that would be it for this year.Although I'll miss the fires I'm ready for a little alternative heat. Thanks for stopping by... enjoy your Sunday and hopefully a little rest!
Was surprised to see him still chopping! Mr. Sun has disappeared and I thought maybe it had run away up north to give you some warmth. :) :) Maybe mr. Sun will see you still have alternative heat and come back. We Need him!
Yeah but he's addicted I think Nan, although we are still needing the fires. I've no idea where your Mr Sun has gone but we sure could do with him here. I saw him briefly, but maybe it was too cold for him to stop... he may have carried on to the South of France or Spain. I have to admit if he comes back this way, I'm hanging on to him... sorry! We need him more I'm sure ;D
Oh, but I can hear the clunk. Great photo.Love log and coal fires, we'll have ours on in the evening for a long while yet.
Yeah me too Sheila, it's much better than when the chain-saw's on the go!Not exactly a quiet relaxing Sunday. We've got our fire going now as I like to just have it ticking over during the day. Hopefully it'll not be needed soon.Have a great Sunday (hopefully quieter than here) and thanks for stopping by to leave a comment ;D
Fantastic picture. Looks like a lot of hard work.
Well not for me (hehe) I just reap the rewards of toasting by the fire when it's all done ;DThanks for visiting my place and I hope you have a great Sunday
Hard at work...Great photo x
Well someone is... thankfully not me but it is a labour of love.Have a great Sunday
Someone's looking busy!
Thankfully not me... well not wood chopping anyway.Even if I did want to do it I'd have to fight off my hubby to do it. Quite frankly... he's obsessed! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great Sunday
I don't envy that job, hopefully the weather will cooperate and you won't need many more
Someone would be very sad if he didn't need to do this job. I can imagine that he'll be sorting wood during the summer... just in prep for the winter ahead! I know... he has a problem :/Hopefully you're having a peaceful quiet Sunday
Great photo. This should be over soon, though! xx
But then what would he do??? I do like to have the fire ticking over but it would be good to have warmth from another source like the sun!!!Thanks for popping into my place. I hope you're having a great Sunday
yoiks be careful mister, too warm here for a roaring fire or am I having a senior moment :)
Oh we call him Captain Safe here and although I wanted to get in nearer for the shot he wouldn't let me. I like the sound of it being too warm... I'm sure it's not a senior moment. You're far too young ;DEnjoy your Sunday and the warmth. If you can spare any I know someone who'd be very grateful
It might be frosty on the ground, but I bet this is a good activity to warm everyone up!Looks like wood chopping is down to a fine art in your household these days!Wren x
Well he never seems to be cold Wren. Maybe I should give it a go as I'm always feeling chilled. I'd have to fight him for it though as it's his baby.I think I'd probably like the chain-saw much better, but then it wouldn't warm the same. He's had lots of practice so he should have it off to a fine art by now ;DI hope you're enjoying your Sunday and if you've had enough warmth for today could you spare me a little... pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeese?xoxo
My brother has a wood fire and its always very lovely to sit around it. The wood chopping bit would tire me out :)
We love our wood burner... so much so that we've put in another one now.It is lovely especially when someone else does all the work... (hehe)I'm not daft... I delegate that job ;DHave a great Sunday and thanks for calling in to my place.
Great pic. Hopefully getting warmer, x
Well I've had the fire lit all day and the weather report just stated there's hail and snow possible later in the week.I do hope spring gets the memo and comes soon ;DHave a great Sunday
Are these for now are building the stores back up?Thank you for linking up
A little of both Darren, although reports are coming in that they really aren't dry enough to burn for this year. But there's no need to worry because we have another delivery of logs coming next week. It would be good to have a little more warmth other than the fire though. Roll on spring! Have a great Sunday and thanks for hosting as well as visiting. It must take up most of your day to get around everyone.
Looks like an early start to keep warm, whoo soon be warmer weather :) Great picture ..
Thanks Claire,I think it helps keeping warm but I delegate this part of the process. I just enjoy the fires at the end ;DHave a lovely Sunday and thanks for visiting.
Fab pict, I can just hear the chop and smell the wood. Hopefully you won't need much more, or is it for storing? xx
There are two huge piles of logs on either side of the wood burner now and I can tell you that the smell is fantastic.I'm not sure what my hubby would do without this activity in his workout, but I am hoping that it gets warmer soon. In the meantime I'll just settle down in front of the fire and enjoy. Thanks for stopping by... have a great Sunday evening
I bet this is hard work, but the fire must be worth it x
I think it might well be Jane, but I'm happy to let him carry on.He loves it! I'll just appreciate the fire at the end ;DHave a great night and let's hope next week is a little warmer for everyone.
This made me remember my garndparents. My Grandma do this and she is so good with her aim! Always cuts the wood in the middle. #MySundayPhoto
Wow what a woman your Grandma must have been! I have had a few goes and been quite successful but I decided to deligate this job to my husband ;DI hope you have a great week ahead.
Great image, energy, motion and the place looks amazing, so quiet and no urban scenery at all, almost heaven for me!
It's funny you should say that Carraol because it IS heaven for me,Not a day goes by that I'm not thankful for being here, especially for leaving it to travel and always wondering if I'd return. Thankfully we did ;DIt's incredibly rural but we are only minutes from the city. We can see the sea, farmland and woods. Thanks for popping in and I hope you'll visit again.Have a great weekend
You can't beat a wood fire. You get warm when you're chopping the wood and then again when you burn it :)
Oh I know... I love our wood burner. So much so that we've just put another one into another room. I can't comment on the getting warm whilst chopping the wood as I'm not allowed... my husband wouldn't let anyone take this chore from him. He loves it. Personally, I think he might have a problem ;DThanks for stopping by and leaving a comment and I hope that you have a great weekend too.
phew that looks like hard work! great photo but a scary axe:)
Well not really when you deligate the job Sherry ;DHe seems to love it. Maybe it's a good stress reliever? But I'm sure I don't nag that much though...Anyway I hope you have a lovely weekend without stress Have fun and thanks for visiting.
That looks like a pretty good workout for a Sunday morning! Love the sun streaming into view in the background. What a welcome sight :)
It is Suzanne but not one I participate in (thankfully) I just provide copious amounts of tea to ensure my hubby doesn't dehydrate... that's always important when you're working out! ;DThanks for visiting my place... I'm just away to enjoy the fire.Have a great weekend
That looks like it's keeping him busy. Hopefully there won't be too much need for a fire soon :)
He's hooked Sara, I don't know what he'd do if we ran out of wood for him to chop, saw, stack or burn! I will miss the fire when (hopefully) it gets too warm but in the mantime we'll continue to enjoy it.Thanks for calling by and I hope you're weekend is going well... have fun
I get so excited to see you here and love to read your thoughts and comments.I always try to answer each one personally (I think it's only polite)...♥...I truly appreciate your precious time here so thank you ...♥...
