  1. Your garden is beautiful, Neesie! So many different layers and yet it looks absolutely impeccable. Wow!

    1. Thank you so much for your lovely compliments. There's a very fine line between what you see and a weedy wilderness. It's a constant battle and at times it's not one that I feel I'll always win. I hope to take a picture as the season progresses and hopefully the sun will be shining!
Have a great week and thanks for popping into my place.

    1. Well I had just finished cutting the lawn Sara so wanted to capture it.
Don't look too closely... there's lots of weeds and masses of moss.
I hope you have a great week ahead and thanks for stopping by to leave a comment.

  3. Even with the puddles that looks like a lovely relaxing place to be.

    1. I have to clarify they weren't puddles... I'd hosed down the flags because the birds had made such a mess under the feeders.
Today, however we are nearly knee deep in puddles... okay that's a little of an exaggeration but it's been lashing down most of the morning and yesterday we even had hail...TWICE!
Let's hope that the better weather will return (I actually bought two new loungers last week... maybe that put the jinx on things) We could relax then and enjoy looking at the garden. Something cold and crisp in hand of course!
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great sun filled week.

    1. Thanks Leslie, it is a never ending job but it keeps me fit. No need to visit a gym these days!
I can't take credit for the stones because they were part of the old place. The folly as we call it (to the right hand side at the back of the photo) was one of the old barns. It even has the old cobble stones under a lot of mud and garden rubbish. I'll get to clean it out one day. There could be one hellova Bonfire Party this year!
Thanks for your visit and comment.
      Have a great week

  5. Your garden is absolutely beautiful. I bet you can spend hours and hours enjoying it (although I guess it's also a lot of work?!).

    1. Hmm... enjoying it? Well yes and no Sarah, it depends on the weather, jobs to be done and how much energy I have.
It is a lot of hard work but when a plant bursts into bloom or the lawn is freshly cut, or your lounging on the sun lounger with a glass of something chilled in your hand, then I love it!
This photo shows one side of the house... I've got the other side waiting for me! I plan to have raised beds for veggies but when... who knows???
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by my garden.

    1. Thanks Darren, although this isn't the full view. I know I'm very lucky to have this and then farmland and a mountain vista. It takes some looking after but the rewards are numerous. We could just do with the sun shining now.
Thanks for hosting... and I hope you have a great week ahead.

    1. Hehe... thanks Grainne,
I thought I'd try the panoramic photo for this week. I wanted it to be a little larger but my head wasn't ready for that challenge after midnight when I joined the link.
I'll maybe try a little later when the sun shines and more blooms are doing their thing.
Thanks for calling in and leaving a message. Have a great week whatever you have planned.

    1. Oh I'm not so sure you'd agree if you saw it up close. There's masses of moss... in fact there's more moss than grass.
Thanks for your comment and I wish you a great week ahead.

    1. Well yes I have to admit I've spent quite a few hours working away out there, but there's still lots to do and planned. It's now a question of if my stamina can keep up.
Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment.
      Have a great week.

    1. Hehe... thanks Twinkle Toes,
Now you can see why I don't paint or draw as much as I'd like. There's only so many hours in the day and energy to last!
Thanks for stopping by once again... I'll nip over to see you soon so pop that kettle on ;D
Let's hope this rain stops soon and the sun comes otherwise I'm going to have to come up with a plan which will include heat!

  11. Oh what a lovely garden, must be a lot of work to keep it looking immaculate :)

    1. Thanks so much Lisa but I have to confess it's not immaculate. I took the photo from a distance for a reason... so you wouldn't see all the weeds, moss, and general mayhem. I could be out there all day every day but then who can do that? Certainly not me!
Thanks for visiting and let's hope the sun shines this week. So far we've had hail and rain... thankfully no snow!

    1. Hehe... steady Rita,
This is why sometimes I don't get to do all of the art/painting/drawing that I'd like.
      It's my outdoor canvas!
I'm glad you like it. Thanks for stopping by and you can come and relax in it any time you like ;D
Have a great week. I'll be across soon to check on how things are your way.
      See you soon.

  13. What a great photo. Is that a magnolia try in the front there? bliss. You must spend a lot of time gardening, sire is worth it!

    1. Oh I wish it was Julia... a magnolia is on my wishlist.
It's a rust tree that came up to Scotland in the car from my sisters garden. It was tiny when we left to go overseas, so I was thrilled to see it all matured when we returned.
I love it. There's always interest... whether it be the flowers for the bees, a great support for all my bird feeders and the amazing autumn colour's later in the year. It's just about to burst into leaf, if only the sun would appear some more.
I'm a fair weather gardener (wuss really) so I don't get out there as much as I should... but that's why I don't get to paint or draw as much as I'd like to.
I suppose it's my outdoor canvas.
Thanks for stopping by to leave a comment. I hope you have a great week and congrats on a fantastic crop. I've been reading some of the posts.
What a brilliant community. You certainly keep everyone inspired.

    1. It can be Kim, as we're really quite rural here... sometimes I have to pinch myself that I'm back here. If the temperatures were a little higher it would be perfect but then that would be greedy.
I'll just be content with what I have. I'm so lucky!
Thanks for your comment and I wish you a sun filled week ahead.

    1. I know I'm very lucky, but it is quite hard work and I'm a fair weather gardener so with the weather we have here, I'm always behind, trying to catch up.
It's just beginning to burst into bloom which is exciting and payback for all the work done earlier. There's certainly no need to go to the gym with this garden.
I haven't even started the veggie plot on the other side of the house yet. Not sure I'll have the stamina or the inclination to tick that box.
A terrace garden can be brilliant. Everything contained and you can move them around as and when you please. I love pots and then of course you can have hanging baskets. I've always had those no matter where I've lived... even in the desert!
Lovely to see you this morning... have a great week. I'm off out into the garden to give important plants a feed. Well the sun's out so it's any excuse. I might even get to weed a little but I'm not promising ;D
