I mentioned last Sunday that it was my daughter's birthday during the week, and that she was away on holiday. For this week's Sunday link up, I asked her permission to show a few of the photographs that she sent to me from Norway. Thankfully she agreed, because it's been rather grey here today and I didn't have a suitable photo of my own to use.
I think that these photographs are far better than anything I could have posted.
I've never been to Norway, but it looks a fabulous place.
So let's dive straight in... well down the ski jump to be precise!
(It makes me feel giddy just looking at this angle, never mind throwing my body down it!)
I'm linking up as usual with My Sunday Photo

Thanks for your visit and I hope to see you again soon.
Have a great day.
It looks like an amazing place to go. I love the pic with the sun shining and that drop looks very steep. Hope she's having a brilliant time!
ReplyDeleteShe had a brilliant time thanks. It's somewhere I've never visited. I tend to like warmer conditions than that, but it does look a fantastic place.
DeleteOh wow what stunning photos. The snowy scenery is so beautiful. That ski jump made me feel quite giddy too! Hope your daughter had a wonderful holiday :-)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter did have a fabulous holiday thanks Louise.
DeleteIt was a stunningly beautiful place, but how someone throws themselves down that slope is beyond me!
Beautiful photos. I love the silhouette ones with the light.
ReplyDeleteMe too Susan. I think that's one of my favourites.
DeleteI've never been to Norway myself, but it certainly looks a beautiful place to visit.
Thanks for sharing her beautiful photos, Norway is on my bucket list!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that I've shown her photographs Christine, especially as it's a place that's on your bucket list. It certainly looks a fabulous location to visit and I know my daughter loved it.
DeleteA belated happy birthday to your daughter. Some lovely photos here - I've been to Sweden but never to Norway, at least not yet ...
ReplyDeleteThanks Tim for the birthday wishes. I haven't been to Sweden or Norway (yet) All my travels took me to far away places, so maybe it's time I started visiting countries nearer to home.
DeleteSome fantastic photos. I love the ski jump one. Must have been great to stand at the top.
ReplyDeleteWell, I think it would be thrilling to stand at the top, but I'd need to have a firm grip on the handrail and no-one standing anywhere near me... just in case!
DeleteI'v never been to Norway either. Sounds like your daughter is having a good time and wow what stunning photos. It's enough to make me want to look into visiting.
ReplyDeleteShe had a brilliant time thanks... and thankfully let me share some of her photos. I've not visited there either, well not yet anyway.
DeleteI must admit I like warmer temperatures, but the scenery etc look amazing. I'd definitely have to up my thermal wardrobe!
Hi Neesie, I bet your daughter is having a wonderful Birthday over there. I have never been to Norway, but judging by the photos it's a beautiful place.
ReplyDeletexx
The birthday is over and my daughter is back in work now, but she did have a wonderful time. I'm happy that I was able to show these fabulous photo's. It does look beautiful doesn't it?
DeleteIt does. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end.
DeleteThank you for linking up with the #MMBC.
We went to the dunes for a different kind of sledding and I could not get myself to go down--to steep and I'm too much of a wimp apparently!
ReplyDeleteEach to their own Brooke, you might be able to do something that others can't, so don't be too hard of yourself.
DeleteYou've reminded me of our time in Qatar, when we went on a desert safari. We drove up and down huge sand dunes in a four wheeled vehicle and I must admit I felt quite sick by the end of the safari!
Norway is on the other end of the spectrum.
Great shots, makes me want to visit Norway
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed seeing the photo's Ryan,
DeleteIt's great to travel the globe... checking all the different locations whilst sitting in the comfort of your own home, isn't it?
I like the look of Norway too.
Wow these are truly stunning Neesie, It looks like your daughter is having a wonderful time x
ReplyDeleteShe certainly did have a great time Cathy, albeit was too short. She loved Norway.
DeleteBeautiful winter views from Norway!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday !
Thanks Ela, I'm glad you liked them.
DeleteI hope you have a happy week ahead.
Wonderful photos! It looks a fantastic place to visit x
ReplyDeleteThey are great photo's and that's why I wanted my daughters approval in order to share them. Thankfully she said yes. Norway does look so beautiful it should be shared :D
DeleteWow that looks absolutely stunning! I'd love to visit Norway
ReplyDeleteIt does look stunning and my daughter had a fantastic time. She loved it. I'd just be a little concerned with the amount of thermals I'd need. I'm a hot house plant!
DeleteWow! did she jump that jump? #MySyndayPhoto
ReplyDeleteI don't think so... well, she never told me if she did!
DeleteSo beautiful, I really want to visit Norway
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
Thanks Darren, I really like the look of Norway when I'm cosy... I'm just not sure how I would get on with the freezing temperatures. I'm rather a hot house plant. I'd probably have masses of excess baggage with the amount of thermals I'd need!
DeleteSuch gorgeous photos Denise - I am sure your daughter had a wonderful time!
ReplyDeletesandy xx
She did indeed Sandy. I think it looks amazing, but I rather like being warm. I'm not sure I'd be able to manage. My thermal allowance would be astronomical!
DeleteI've been to that ski jump! I love Norway, beautiful photos #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteWow fancy that... but the question is Mary... Did you go down it?
DeleteI've not been to Norway either...
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs, the weather looks good in all of them.
All the best Jan
The weather was perfect for the whole time my daughter was there Jan.
DeleteShe was lucky and had a fabulous birthday trip :D
I hope she had a fabulous trip! Norway is such a gorgeous country, and those photographs are amazing, but that first pic made my stomach flip! :D #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteApologies for the stomach flip... it did the same to me. I'm not sure I'd ever have enough courage to throw myself down such a slope.
DeleteMy daughter had a great time. Looking at the photographs it is a beautiful place to visit.
I've not been, I would go for the Northern Lights but not the snow, I hate being cold! Beautiful photos #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, my daughter did get to see any Northern Lights, but it is the place to be to see them. I'd love that too. I'm like you, I like to be warm so I'm not sure how I would get on. I'm a real hot house plant!
Deletethanks to her for letting you share the photos, looks like a lovely place, cold lol but lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI was pleased she wanted to share her photo's. I'm not sure I will ever get to visit as I don't like to be cold. It was stunningly beautiful though.
DeleteBeautiful pics! Looks very VERY cold. I've watched ski jumping in Iron Mtn, MI (my folks home town) the ski jump was made of wood! And they were crazy to come flying down that and leap into thin air!!
ReplyDeleteI think it was cold Nan, but I don't think it was unmanageable. Well, I suppose it would be for someone from your part of the world. I certainly would need lots of excess baggage in the form of thermals!
DeleteI don't even like to think of that ski slope never mind see anyone actually doing it!
Gorgeous photos of Norway. Strange how the sun is so shrouded.
ReplyDeleteNorway does look fantastic
