DON'T PANIC!!!
Keep breathing!
Are you sitting down? Then I'll tell you what happened...
My laptop crashed and died!
I KNOW (sob, sigh, wail, tizzyfit and tantrum)
I'm booking it into intensive care in the hope that they can breath new life into it.
In the meantime, I'll keep everything crossed that they will be able to save everything that's stored on it and continue to use someone else's laptop for now.
The only thing is that my fingers are lost.
The keys on this laptop aren't playing as I'd like them to... they're being sneaky and are all in different places. Everything is taking much longer to type and enter.
I'll wait to see how A&E get on before trying to write another post.
I hope you have a great weekend and hopefully I'll see you soon
xoxo
oh no! I know how hard it is to learn a new keyboard, I wish you all the best!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how difficult it's been Laurie. I tried to post last night but gave up in the end. I know you have such trials too. Maybe I'll try again today. Good news is with some extra time I've been painting as I promised. Thanks ;)
DeleteKeep cosy xoxo
Breathing...not panicking ....lol ..... see you when you get back.. :) Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how being without my laptop is affecting me. I feel a little lost at times.
DeleteThanks for your support

Neesie... no! And on a Sunday! On the bright side maybe there's a new baby on the way in the family? Imagine the excitement of getting her out of the box!!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for you that you're sorted and back blogging soon.
Wren x
Oh boy Wren you frightened me mentioning the possibility of a new baby! @#$&!
DeleteThat would be all... but then I realised what you meant... phew!
I'll keep my fingers crossed but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Thanks for making me realise there's worse things that could happen right now than having my laptop missing for a while.
Stay cool and enjoy that tennis.
Melbourne's lookibg fantastic from here. Xxoo
This is everyone's nightmare! I really should back things up.
ReplyDeleteYes, my first thought would be panic. I hope your laptop is brought back to good health and working soon. I do copy all my files / word docs / photos every so often on to a disc which I store separately. But not often enough, maybe every 6 weeks.
ReplyDeleteEeeeK!! Oh no, that's a real pain. I know exactly how you're feeling Denise after having my own laptop give up the ghost a couple of months ago. Luckily it gave me ample warning and I backed everything up on an external drive so it was only emails I lost. No idea how, but it's a small price. I'll keep my fingers crossed that all goes well at A&E. Chin up! xxoo
ReplyDeleteMy sincere condolences, Neesie! May the computer medics be able to revive the patient and all memory be restored!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a total disaster these days! I would be lost without my laptop any more. I remember the days where it would have been losing the phone or the TV that made me feel cut off. Now when you lose internet you lose the whole rest of the world. I hope all is repaired and functional soon!! :)
