It is indeed Kriss, My Mum made this dress for my first Communion and I thought it was divine. It was all lacy with lots of layered petticoats. Happy Sunday to you... enjoy and thanks for visiting
Yes it is me at the age of about 7 or 8 years old. This dress was made by my Mum and I felt like a fairy princess in it. I'm now wondering where it might be because there's no way I would have thrown it out. Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by to leave a comment
When I look back at some of our family old photographs both my sister and I wore so many clothes that my mum made for us. She also knitted cardigans too and we always looked well presented... thanks to her skills! Have a great week and thanks for stopping by ;D
well weren't you just the cutie! I'm betting your parents had the same experience my grand parents did. People used to come up to them and wax poetic about just how cute their little girl was. Kinda nice to be pretty, isn't it? :o) Hugs my friend.
Aww now stop it Jenn... I'm beginning to regret posting it now. (hehe) I'm not sure about that but I was very shy and would go bright red if anyone talked to me hiding behind my mum's skirts when I was small. I'm obviously over all of that now ;D Hugs back to you (and your Mum) Have a great week xoxo
Oh yes Christine, I had a veil too but I don't know where that's gone. I think because I'd just had my hair curled I didn't have it on until the ceremony. Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment. Have a fun packed week
Thanks Giggles... I wasn't sure whether to post it or not. I love old photographs and couldn't resist it. It's a giggle anyway isn't it? ;D Have a great week whatever you have planned... enjoy!
Aren't I just!!! ;D I thought it was just perfect. I just wish I knew where it was now. I'd have loved to have kept it. I love old photographs (even when they show you how old you are) and couldn't resist posting it when I was looking for my Silent Sunday photograph. I hope your week has started well and will be a humdinger of fun and frolicks! hehe Enjoy!
Me too Darren, I find them fascinating... especially when they are other peoples. I took quite some time to decide whether or not to post this one. Thanks for hosting and finding the time to pop by. Have a great week
Oh thank you Sherry... you're too kind ;D I really wish I'd have kept the dress but I can't remember what happened to it. I'm hoping it was passed on to some other little girl for her to feel like a princess too. I hope you're having a great week
I get so excited to see you here and love to read your thoughts and comments. I always try to answer each one personally (I think it's only polite) ...♥...I truly appreciate your precious time here so thank you ...♥...
How lovely - I presume that's a framed shot when you were little?
