I had no intention of posting yet another sunset photograph this week, but when tonight's sunset display started I couldn't resist. There's a huge full moon tonight too, but I know I'll never do it justice with my photographic skill. I need to practice more... but maybe one day (or night!) I just might capture it.

Have a super Sunday everyone and thanks for visiting my place
lovely photo, hadn't noticed the full moon tonight here as there were clouds covering the sky.
ReplyDeleteOh it's a shame you had clouds because the moon was incredible. It lit up all the fields around us.
DeleteThanks for leaving a comment... I appreciate it.
Have a great Sunday
Such a stunning sky
ReplyDeleteI'll say thanks, but it's nothing to do with me... I just try to capture and share it ;D
DeleteHave a great day and thanks for popping over to my place.
That's a gorgeous capture - the colours in the sky come out beautifully.
ReplyDeleteVery often during the evening there can suddenly be sunlight beaming into the house and it's the sunset. Sometimes we've not seen the sun all day but it'll appear for a few minutes as it sets. It never ceases to stop us in our tracks to look and appreciate it.
DeleteThanks for stopping by and I wish you a great Sunday
Gorgeous photo, there is something so magical about the start and end of a day. Love the silhouette of the flowers
ReplyDeleteI've been lucky to capture both a brilliant sunrise and sunset this weekend.
DeleteI'm hoping this little window of good weather will last for the whole month of September because so far the summer has been rather dismal.
Have a great Sunday and thanks for your comment.
This sunsets have been stunning of late haven't they. This one is another stunner, and I love how you've photos this through the long grasses, it gives it an alien effect!
ReplyDeleteLovely photo and like you, I've never managed to capture a moon shot. One night!
#SundayPhoto
xx
You would laugh if you knew that I was up a step ladder and then down on the ground crouching to capture this sunset. Even after hubby running to the garage for the step ladder (because as you know you have to be quick) I liked the one crouching through the grasses the best!
DeleteI was tempted to try taking the moon photo, but after all the shinanakins with the sunset I thought I'd leave it and just appreciate it with my eyes.
Maybe next time.
Thanks for your visit and I wish you a great day.
What a gorgeous sunset - love all the beautiful colours in this shot.
ReplyDeleteIt never ceases to amaze me that the same view can be so different at every sunset. I never tire of it.
DeleteHave a lovely Sunday and thanks for your visit
Stunning shot. I never quite manage to capture silhouettes too well. Must practise!
ReplyDeleteI've taken so many shots of sunrise and sunset that maybe I've managed my 10,000 hours and the practice has helped.
DeleteEnjoy your day and thanks for visiting my place.
Gorgeous colours, what a beautiful sky, and I love the plants silhouetted against it x
ReplyDeleteHi Sara,
DeleteThe grasses and plants are on our boundary before the farmers field begins so it's our little nod to a wildlife garden.
I like them included in the shot too.
Great to have you visit and I hope you have a lovely Sunday.
Absolutely beautiful, the colours are so vivid. I can never get sunset photos as impressive as this, what's your secret?x
ReplyDeleteI think it's maybe just a fluke, but I have taken hundreds of these sunsets. Maybe I've just reached my 10,000 hours worth.
DeleteJust keep taking them and having fun and I'm sure you'll get there Lauren,
Enjoy your day and thanks for your lovely visit.
That is a stunning capture. Haven't the colours been wonderful, the upside to such a horrible summer xx
ReplyDeleteIt's incredible Jo that some days we have just been under a grey blanket and then at a certain hour of the day... the curtain suddenly pulls aside and we are treated to a spectacular sunset.
DeleteIt's so pretty, the yellows in there are a bit unusual but make the sky look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIt all changes so quickly as you are probably aware. You certainly have to be quick to capture it. The colours never cease to amaze me.
DeleteHave a wonderful day and thanks for your visit
What a gorgeous evening, you can post one of those every week, I love it! the colors are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteAww thank you Nikki, in fact, we're about to experience yet another gorgeous sunset as I type. Thanks for your lovely words of encouragement.
DeleteHave a great week ahead
wow such stunning captures. I need to practise more with my camera, but as my son says just get out there and do it at least you can delete the images
ReplyDeleteYour son is right... I totally agree with him. You should definitely just start clicking away. I think I must have clocked up my 10.000 hours.
DeleteMy daughter said a similar thing to me when I first started using the computer... she told me I couldn't break it and to just press the keys... there are at least three ways to do something. And here I am, blogging and using all of the social media available.
Just have fun!
Have a great week and I'll look forward to seeing photos.
Beautiful! Love the colours against the silhouetted trees etc in the foreground. #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that's what I like about this photo Catie,
DeleteI think it frames the sunset.
Thanks for your comment and visit.
I wish you a great week ahead.
That's absolutely beautiful. The colours are fantastic and I love the silhouettes.
ReplyDeleteThank you for those lovely words Sarah... you're very kind.

I was beginning to think I'd never say that this year.
I hope you have a wonderful week ahead

that is lovely neesie. such a pretty sunset. we couldn't see the big moon last night due to clouds. such a shame as it was a super moon. ah well it is the full moon tonight and the sky is fairly clear so here's hoping.
ReplyDeleteIt was Sherry and would you believe that we've had another glorious one tonight too.
DeleteAfter a fantastic summer day.
It's a shame that you didn't get to see the huge moon on Saturday night, but I'm hoping that you may see it tonight.

ReplyDeleteA beautiful photo Denise; I love all the colours you captured, but also the flowers? seed heads? on the skyline. A beautiful photo indeed. I bet you could capture that full moon, you're better than you think. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteWee Man and I are Christmas cake baking today :D xox
This is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll come visit http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2015/08/bennett-place-bit-of-history.html to link up. Visit us each week for Wordless Wednesday (on Tuesday)! It's a fun linkup!
a lovely view, I like the shadows too x
ReplyDeleteDarn it, anyways! Yes, I have not been getting my email notifications when you post. :(
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset. Thanks so much for popping over. I think I am going to have to find another way to follow blogs. Blogger wasn't working for me for a long time so I went to direct email notifications and now that's not working well anymore. Hummm.... I'll have to investigate. :)
Lovely colours and silhouettes :) We had a pretty pink sky here last night but I only managed an iphone snap before it disappeared!
ReplyDeleteStunning! Havent seen anything like this lately as its always raining here. #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photograph.
ReplyDeleteThe hurricane has petered out to a tropical storm - lots of rain and probably will come some wind. I do love rainy weather so I am content!
Sandy xx
That is such a beautiful sunset! I hope you have a nice Monday.
ReplyDeleteJulie
I can see why you posted it. What a beautiful sight. Love how you've captured it. #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteIt's no wonder you wanted to share another sunset shot - the colours running through the sky are amazing.
ReplyDeleteWe've been having a lot of full moons and half moons recently. I've been given night shooting a try lately and having some fun with, although I do not more practise!
