During the last week we have had some spectacular weather.
One particular morning, I opened my eyes to a pink glow.
Everything had turned pink.
Looking outside the clouds were like pink powder puffs.
I purposely haven't edited these photo's so that you can see the colours in their true form.
I'm not in the habit of diving out of bed in a morning (I'm not that enthusiastic normally) but when Mother Nature is putting on a show there's nothing for it but to run and grab your camera.
Later I couldn't resist trying out my new zoom lens.
Here's one of my usual morning visitors perched high up on the chimney tops waiting for breakfast.
Yes, I think this lens will do nicely.
I'm linking up as usual with Photalife
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by my place.
I hope to see you again soon.
Love that final photo of the bird next to the chimney pot and those skies are just beautiful - what gorgeous colours :-)
ReplyDeleteI was going to post bird photos as I've been clicking away at all my feathered friends during this last week, but that early morning sky was so unusual and really captured my attention... then puff it was gone. Have a great Sunday :D
DeleteWow, some gorgeous colours in all those skies!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought Tim and I wanted to share them. I'm glad you liked them.
DeleteOh wow! What amazing skies....You have captured some stunning colours x
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim, I just clicked. Mother Nature did the rest :D
DeleteA lovely splash of pink in those skies
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just, so I thought I'd share it. We are having some spectacular weather just now... snow's forecast too!
DeleteThat gorgeous pastel coloured sky - wow! It sets you on a high doesn't it when there's such a great start to the day.
ReplyDeleteYour lens and you make a good team :D)
Thanks Sue, I really appreciate your lovely comment.
DeleteWe are having some spectacular sunrises and sunsets at the moment.

ReplyDeleteI know Pam... it's all very exciting. I just need to get to know what I'm doing with it now!
DeleteMy darling,
ReplyDeleteyou always bless us with such wonderful shots of your early Sunday morning, but there's nothing more stunning than the Winter sky, I so love it, thank you for your gift !
Wishing you a most wonderful day,
I'm sending hugs and more hugs to you
Xx Dany
I thought it was so unusual Dany that I wanted to share it. I'm glad you liked it. We are having some wonderful wintery sky's and there's also snow forecast for the next few days.
DeleteHave a wonderful day too and thanks for visiting :D
yes i love that bird shot too. what great photos. have fun with your new lens. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry I will... once I work out what I'm doing and what the lens is capable of doing. A steep learning curve ahead for sure.
DeleteI do love winter skies, sunrises and sunsets are often spectacular #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed Sherry... there's lots of amazing wintery weather out there just now. Even snow is forecast for later today. My lens could be in for a busy time!
DeleteWhat beautiful colours in the sky. I love this time of year for sunrises and sunsets.
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
I do too Darren and that's why I thought I would share them with the Sunday Photo group. Thanks for hosting once again.
DeleteWe saw a beautiful pink glow as well last week. We called it our pink sky and rainbow sky! Great capture #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteI think the pink glow comes when it's windy. We are currently having an arctic blast and possible snow showers soon. I think it's time to hunker down and keep cosy!
DeleteAw such lovely landscapes. The colours are beautiful. I think my fav os the middle one with the bright purple sky #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteThanks Martyn, I think that particular photo is possibly my favourite too. We are having some amazing sky's just now and there's an arctic blast blowing through. We could even have snow later today.
DeleteThe skies have been just beautiful recently haven't they? And that is a gorgeous pink. I hope the Norwegians envy our skies sometimes just like we envy their aurora ;)
ReplyDeleteOoh now the aurora is something that I must see one day and hopefully capture on my camera. We do have the Northern Lights here and I actually saw them years ago, but unfortunately I was driving over a bridge at the time and couldn't stop to watch.
DeleteLove your photos Sugar - my favorite - why the bird of course!
ReplyDeleteSandy xx
I thought I'd throw that one in for you Sandy. I'm glad you like it :D
DeleteBeautiful skies - I love pink clouds.
ReplyDeleteI now realise I do too Carol. I was so surprised to see such beautiful clouds. We are having some spectacular weather so every day there is something to capture the eye
Deletewow some amazing shots there!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jo, I appreciate your visit and comment
DeleteWhat beautiful skies, love the difference in colours in that last shot #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteIt was a stunning day weather wise Mary... from the pink sky early in the morning, to the clear cloudless blue sky of the afternoon... and finally a glorious sunset.
DeleteStunning photos, I love the pink in the sky
ReplyDeleteThank you Helen, I thought they were different and so thought I'd share them. I haven't seen such pinky colours for some time.
Deleteso pretty :D horrible weather over here, wet and foggy, pea soup during most of the day :/
ReplyDeleteWe are having some spectacular weather here. Today for instance we have an arctic blast that is whipping everything up in a frenzy. The birds can hardly stand never mind fly!
DeleteSnow is forecast, but we have a clear cloudless sunny sky at the moment.
Such beautiful colours in the sky !!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos !!
Greetings
Thanks so much Ela, I'm glad that you liked seeing them.
DeleteHave a great week!
what gorgeous photos - that's one thing to be said for living up here - the weather might be cloudy and cold but we do get some truly amazing sunsets and sunrises made all the more interesting thanks to those clouds!!
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the wee bird on the chimney too - great zoom lens!
