Well he's finally finished.
'The Eye Of The Tiger'
Apologies that he seems to have hogged my PPF limelight for a few weeks now.
I will definitely move on to another project for next week.
I decided to have a little play at producing some art every morning...which is a little scary as who knows where this might lead.
I think it's better that I actually produce some artwork regularly... and hopefully that'll help with my creativity.
These girls (the cows) appeared and yes it is a little bizarre that I should draw cow butts, but there is a story line... promise!
The reason is that we visited a local dairy farm's new venture the other day... it's a cafe attached to the milking sheds of a local farm.
They advertise that you can go and witness the cow being milked, whilst having a cuppa and cake.
But I never expected the cafe to actually have a huge glass windows overlooking the whole proceedings.
Fantastic for kiddie-winks to witness the cows wandering in to the stalls, being milked and then on their way again. I thought the whole thing was ingenious and will definitely be going back.
Well they do sell homemade baking and fantastic cheesecakes after all.
There's also a soft play area for the children and a brilliant farm shop and butchers!
It seems that I might actually be turning into a real country girl!
What with our chickens and drawing cow's.
Where will this end?
As I mentioned on Facebook...I didn't really intend for this video clip to be out there, but I was persuaded. Therefore, I didn't want my blog followers to miss out... so here it is.
(It's taken me about three hours to put this up because I heard that the last video wasn't available for everyone to see. Hopefully this YouTube video will work...I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if it works)
The chooks ran the quickest time yesterday...so I think I better get fit and up my game, otherwise they'll be way ahead of me :D
A little fun to end this weeks PPF link.
I hope it gives you a giggle.
Have a great weekend and thanks for your visits and for Paint Party Friday for continuing to inspire.
Love the chickens! The tiger is magnificent and the cows are great. Love the idea of that cafe. Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThanks Valerie, the tiger was great therapy. I can just pick up the pen and play for a while without getting stressed or worked up. I don't find painting with colours as easy...but I plan to get there.
DeleteThe cafe was great and we'll certainly be back especially if it's near milking time. Happy PPF to you too.
WOW, how amazing is that tiger?! I LOVE it! Amazing work! And I think the cow butts are adorable. lol! Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHehe...I'm happy to hear that Julie, he was fun to do ;D
DeleteI hope you have a great weekend too. Thanks for visiting.
Good morning/afternoon, love the Tiger. He's amazing! He's for your son, right? Oh my my, the Girls are something. Gave me a chuckle. :)) A nice way to start the morning. And look at you herding chicks! Where were you moving them too? Aren't they using the coop the Mister built? Looks like I should send you some of our weather....very hot n humid here. I'm working on a bunch of miniatures at the moment. Will post some progress pics next. Have a good weekend. Hugs
ReplyDeleteHi Nan...well actually the tiger isn't for my son, but if no-one wants him I'm sure he'd be happy to have him ;D
DeleteI'm so happy to hear that you had a little chuckle with my video. That's one of the main reasons why I put it out there.
The chickens go into their coop at night, but during the day they are either go into a run under the trees in the wild part of the garden...or the old ruined barn. Hubby is making it safe by putting chicken wire and a gate in it. There is a resident fox who lives at the other side of the adjacent field but he seems to be content with all the bunnies up there, at the moment.
I did have visions of the folly (as we call the ruin) being converted into an art studio...but I'd never win against what 'the girls' need!
I think you must have sent some of your weather because today we are....wait for it... 25 degrees! Everyone will melt!!!
Have fun creating your miniatures and have a great weekend.
Love the tiger, the cow butts and those fab red boots!
ReplyDeleteHehe...thanks Debra, it's fun all round today! :D
Deleteyour tiger is so amazing-wow!! Love the cow butts too:) I'd love to be feeding chickens too-especially in red boots like yours. Thanks for sharing the video, and happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda, just a little light relief today. Nothing too serious although I hope to go up a gear with my art soon.
DeleteI'm trying not to get too involved with the chooks, but it's difficult as their personalities are becoming obvious. The round up and throwing in the odd treat are as much as I get involved.
Glad you liked the video and the boots!
Happy PPF to you
I love it all and the video does definitely work. You certainly are a country girl, milk cow butts and all. It looks to me like you have a wonderful life ... :)
ReplyDeleteAndrea @ From The Sol
Thanks Andrea, I'm extremely lucky to be living here and it is so different from the years of travelling as an expat.
DeleteI'm happy that you liked the video (it did take me quite a time to master transferring it over from my phone, to YouTube... but good for stretching the brain)
Thanks for your visit and I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead.
Your art is amazing as always, the cow butts are great! Thanks for the video, you're so pretty I might add.
ReplyDeleteAww...shucks Christine...you'll make me blush!
DeleteI'd been gardening all day and if I'd have known that this little clip would go public I'd have at least put some lippy on first!
Thanks for the visit and compliments. I'm now smiling like a Cheshire Cat now!
I saw your video on FB, you are too cute with that curtsy at the end, lol The cow cafe sounds intriguing but I do love that tiger, wow!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea where the curtsy came from Sandee. I was just so relieved that they'd followed me. They've upped their game since this video and ran in, in record time last night. I'm going to have to get fit!
DeleteI'll definitely be revisiting the 'tin coo' cafe especially around milking time and it would be rude not to accept some of their homemade cheesecake!
I love cows and cow art. The tiger is magnificent and I love the chickens.
ReplyDeleteWell I think this cow drawing is my first dabble into cow art!
DeleteThanks for your visit and I'm glad that you liked the post.
Happy PPF to you. Have a great weekend :D
LOVE the video!! Your tiger is gorgeous and I love the cows and the story "behind" them. What an interesting cafe to bring kids to--yes! Ian would be transfixed and forget to eat--LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteHehe...I'm glad you liked it Rita :D
DeleteIt is a fantastic cafe and such a great learning tool for the little ones. I'm sure Ian would love it.
I'll be returning at some stage and will take more photo's and possible footage whilst I'm there, but rest assured I will not forget to eat!
Your tighter turned out so well, Neesie, from seeing you round up the hens, and I love your red wellies! Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteHehe...glad you enjoyed it all. Thanks for visiting and I wish you happy PPF to you too :D
DeleteHi Neesie, loved your tiger - he's magnificent! So much work too - well done!
ReplyDeleteThe rear view of the cows is a fun drawing ... really enjoyed it, and something different :D)
Aw, thanks for that gorgeous video too. I love how you call them... universal isn't it! Your red boots are so smart. It was delightful to watch. Cheers xx
I finished the tiger over time Sue, just nipping in and out whenever I had a few minutes spare. Very enjoyable and something that I find very relaxing to do.
DeleteI thought I'd do something a little fun for this weeks PPF.
'Chuck chuck' certainly seems to be a language that they recognise... and it works!
My red boots seem to be very popular ;D
Have a great weekend
Wow, what a majestetic "cat" and I think, I should try that too, make a little art every morning and not only sit by the pc...
ReplyDeleteCool cafe, a nice inspiration for you.
The video is working here too.
Enjoy your sunday
Hi Mascha, well so far I haven't managed that little art every morning but I'm still going to try. My hubby is going to make dinner so I'm going to spend the time creating some art. Well that's the plan!
DeleteI spend far too much time on the PC instead of drawing/painting. I've just got to be more disciplined.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a brilliant week ahead.
The tiger is thought-provoking. You make him come alive. Wow a place to have lunch and watch milking cows. . . What a fun place you have found. Blessings, Janet
