My Sunday Photo...Hot Tub

Well there's not a lot I can say about My Sunday Photo except that I can thoroughly recommend a Hikki Hot Tub!
After a busy day what could be better than to lounge in a hot tub under the stars...oh yes and a moon shining to help with the candle light!
The cap was only to save the extreme steam from sending my hair into a modern day Pollyanna!
It may not be the best photo technically, but it was taken more for a moody atmospheric shot.

I'm linking up with My Sunday Photo over at Photalife.com

Have a great weekend and thanks for popping over to my place.
Now where's my glass of vino... Cheers!

  1. I've been in a few hot tubs. I can't stay in them for too long. I usually have short breath from the heat and water.

    1. I love hot hot water and this particular one was HOT! My hubby said he felt he was being poached! The water is heated up from a wood burner and let me tell you, is very effective!

  2. I tried to do the same tonight, our cottage with a hot tub was empty for the first time all summer and I thought I'd sneak in but the guests left it half empty and turned the temperature down. I'll have to sort it for tomorrow night. Your bath tub looks much more quirky, did the hat work?

    1. I'm happy to report the cap worked brilliantly. I thought it might look better than a shower cap but I'm not so sure it did!
What a shame you weren't able to nip into your tub. Ours is fired by a wood burner and is surprisingly larger than it looks. I have trouble because when it's full...I float!
Good luck with getting into the tub tonight. Have a great Sunday :D

    1. It certainly was especially with the clear sky and moon shining Victoria. It is something that you have to plan with it being a wood burner...firing up a few hours before you want to use it. Last night the water was piping hot even for me. Hubby had steam coming out of his ears!

  4. Hi Denise, I've not been in a hot tub for years, but what a nice way to spend an evening. I can see where the Hikki Hot Tun got it's name!

    1. It's not the normal kind of hot tub either. It heats the water by a wood burner attached to the tub. Very ingenious and eco friendly.
Star gazing under the moonlight is certain a beautiful added extra.

    1. The 'tardis' ie the plastic greenhouse... works brilliantly as a changing/drying room! Never thought of a bath mat.
We actually heard the owl hoot too! HAHA!

    1. We've used the crazy hot tub quite a few times Nan...even in an unplanned rain shower! As long as the water is hot and you stay submerged then it's fine no matter what the weather decides to do. It just means you have to make a run and dash into the house to dry off!

    1. Yes and yes Di. I had worked hard so my weary body was very thankful for the hot soak. It's also great to survey all of your hard work whilst lounging up to your neck in hot water. Trouble is it also provides time to reflect and plan future projects!

    1. I'm sorry to hear that Jennifer. I too am not supposed to have hot baths or showers...but I love heat and can't resist. You can have the wood burner heat up to water to however warm you wish, so it doesn't have to be near boiling like I have it. It is great to lounge back and relax right out there in the garden especially if you've been working away all day :D

    1. It was a lovely evening with the stars and moon shining. I've got to set up more lighting and plants around it, but I can't fault the tub. It's perfect!

    1. It is Louise...but not just a summer evening. We've used it even when its been raining. Typically with our weather it can change by the time the wood burner has heated the water, but we don't let that stop us. Once you are in the wonderful hot water works it's magic, especially on tired muscles working in the garden.

    1. Hehe...yep I can really recommend one Hannah. It's great fun and quite a talking piece. My hubby saw it on a programme, researched on where to purchase one and before I could say 'Hygge' it arrived.
We are great fans of wood burners, so this is just one step further. I'm loading up next Sunday's photo right this minute ;D
