Wonderful blue and green contrasts x
It was taken on one of the few good summer days Kriss, whilst staying in the Scottish Borders :D
Now that is what you call an impressive garden!
Hehe... I wish I could say it was mine... but then maybe not! That's one heck of a lawn! It's the grounds of Floors Castle just outside of Kelso in the Scottish Borders. Floors Castle is Scotland's largest inhabited castle. Have a great weekend
Look at that beautiful blue sky! Gorgeous view x
It was a fantastic weekend weather wise Sara,I'm hoping when we next visit we will be as lucky and the sun will shine.Enjoy your weekend.
Wow, Nessie! That is a stunning view. xx
We were very lucky to capture it because the road was winding and I'd asked my hubby to stop somewhere if he could... and then a lay-by appeared. It would have been better to get nearer to the castle but I like the countryside... especially the fishermen in the river and the sheep grazing. A leisurely Sunday afternoon.
Beautiful country-side and landscape.Thanks for sharing. #MySundayPhotoJohn
It is a beautiful part of the country John, but then there are so many. I especially appreciate it after numerous years overseas.Have a great Sunday
Beautiful view, I love the contrast. Lovely place to spend the day Thank you for linking up
We had a great long weekend in the Scottish Borders exploring lots of lovely places... I definitely will revisit especially if we're lucky with the weather. Thanks for hosting and I hope your birthday weekend is going well.Enjoy!
What a beautiful view and such a gorgeous day too - look at that wonderful blue sky!
I have to confess that although we've had a great start to autumn, this photo was taken during the rare good summer day.It was a perfect place to pull over the car and stop to admire the view.
A beutiful, peaceful image. What a lovely place. #mysundayphoto
Next time I visit the area, I'm definitely going to visit the castle. It looks a fabulous place and is Scotland's largest inhabited castle.Have a great Sunday
Whata beautiful photo. Love the strength of colours you've captured! Take care Zo xx
It was one of the rare sunny warm-ish day over the summer. They were few and far between so we were very lucky with our trip. Did you notice the fisherman? Have a wonderful weekend Zo
I do believe I could be quite happy in Scotland - gorgeous picture. Sandy xx
Hmm... not sure you'd like the temperature here. It's a tropical 12 degree's today (53F) and that's a really good day for this time of year. You'd certainly need layers and lots of thermals Sandy ;D
Oh what a beautiful capture! :)
Thanks Rita, apologies for my late reply to your comment... I've been taking part in the Inktober challenge so any spare time I've been drawing. I know you'll understand ;D
I'm loving the pretty colors. What a serene outlook.
It's a lovely part of the country Leslie, and I'll certainly be revisiting it again.
Beautiful blues and greens, what a lovely view :)
Did you notice the fishermen too? I was thrilled that I could capture the countryside, sky, castle, sheep, river and fishermen. Oh yes and the sun was shining as an extra bonus.
What a stunning view Neesie x
Thanks Cathy, I didn't think I'd be able to capture the Castle in a photo because the road was so steep and had so many twists an turns.... but thankfully there was a lay-by which enabled me to stop. I'd have liked to have captured a closer image but it'll do ;D
That;s so scenic and pretty, it looks like the perfect place for a nice picnic (as much as the weather would allow right now!)
I have to confess it was taken back in the summer so a picnic would have been great. The weekend we visited was thankfully a dry sunny one. There wasn't too many of those so we were lucky!
What a beautiful scene! It looks so peaceful there x
It was a lovely area... I plan to go back and then maybe we'll get to actually go into the castle.
So postcard perfect pretty! #mysundayphoto
