My Sunday Photo...Autumn Sunlight

We've been living in a cloud over the last three days, so it was such a wonderful sight to see the sun cast it's amazing autumnal light on everything this morning.
All the changing colours of the leaves as they twist and twirl down to the ground on the crisp breeze.
The last of the summer blooms popped with vibrant colours once more...putting one last performance in before they disappear until next year.
Brave bees and butterflies are busy making the most of the day... as did I.
I transplanted many tender plants into pots to bring indoors before the chilly night air shocks their delicate leaves.
I worked until my back reminded me that it was time to call it a day.
There's rain forecast for tomorrow so I'm glad I seized the day and made the most of the beautiful warm sunshine.
I'm linking up with My Sunday Photo over at Photalife.com
Have a great weekend and thanks for popping over to my place.

I just pick and choose which job to tackle and my gardening is very weather dependent. I think I'm a fair weather gardener!
      Enjoy your Sunday :D

    1. I certainly am making the most of the good days. As for the blue that was heavy rain clouds that later bestowed their gift on us. I'm just thankful that I managed to capture the image and enjoy it.

  9. What a beaut of a day! Your photo is fab. The Folly looks so regal in the background! Love your hydrangeas, daylilies and what we(I) call Fireweed (small spikes red flower). Hope the week ahead offers a few more pretty days. Hugs

    1. Thanks Nan, we all love the folly with it's cobbled floor and airy feel (no roof and crumbling walls) We call them Crocosmia 'Lucifer'
That particular plant has become a little too big for it's boots so I'm thinking of transplanting it to another part of the garden. I've taken smaller cuttings off it last year and they've all taken. This particular one overshadows my delphiniums...which isn't allowed!
Our week has been a mixed bag but we have seen some blue skies and the sun at times, so that'll do.
      Hugs back to you

  10. So nice to see a sunny day pic. We've only had lots of cloud and rain this week. It's really turning now isn't it?

    1. It certainly is turning, we've had such a chilly wind blowing for most of this week. Just a reminder of what might be ahead in the coming months...but I'm hanging on. No thermals yet so that's a good sign!

    1. They certainly are hydrangeas Sherry. These are my favourite, but I have white, light blue that start off lemony then matures to a baby blue, and purple. They're great to pad out any floral arrangement at this time of year.
I'm keeping an eye on your summer temperatures.
We are 11 degrees today, so will have to be content with that!
