My Sunday Photo... a last fling

Today was a beautiful day and one for getting outdoors and enjoying it even if it meant raking up fallen leaves.
I do have a leaf blower, but I thought I'd have the satisfaction of a good workout.
Two birds with one stone and all that.
But as usual I got distracted... the robin watching with keen interest at my handywork... ready to scoop anything of interest.
The geese flying overhead... the few clouds drifting across the sky and of course all of the plants putting on the finale. There blooms still bright and catching the sunlight.
I thought I'd just randomly take a few shots to let you see what's still adding a splash of colour.

There were lots more but I was supposed to be doing a job after all.
Maybe I'll snap a few more tomorrow if the weather stays good.
I hope you liked them...
I'm linking them to the My Sunday Photo over at Photalife

Have fun everyone and enjoy those beautiful autumn colours.
Thanks for your visit and I hope to see you again soon.

  1. Love all the splashes of colour in the garden - especially the textures captured in the moss photo and the colours of the fallen leaves :-)

    1. Obviously the autumn leaves add such a beautiful palette of colour at this time of year, but I have been amazed just how much colour is still happening in the garden.
I couldn't resist the moss clinging to the stone Louise.
Thanks for popping over to my place. Enjoy your Sunday and all of those glorious colours!

  2. A lovely last look at autumn, snap on the blue hydrangea this week, they are the last of the rich colours in our gardens now

    1. It has been a spectacular autumn hasn't it? The blue hydrangea is still so vibrant. I've also have pink ones and a huge lighter blue one... I'm not sure of the varieties, but they have been stunning this year. It must have been all that rain we had during the summer!
Have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by once more.

  3. Woo hoo and I'd have thought you'd have gone for a lot of fun with the leaf blower to see if you could blow all the leaves up in the air, drop the bag, grab the camera and capture the leaves falling gently to the ground! Looks a lovely workout, glad there is still so much colour around for you :)
    Happy Sunday

    1. I would have definitely have taken the fun option if there had been that option Wren, but unfortunately the leaves had been soaked for days, so the blower would have blown a fuse trying to shift them!
Instead I nearly did, but they're almost done. I'm still waiting for the hour glass waist-line though! No sign yet!

  6. love that rose. I am sure I've said it before--I miss the changing seasons. I have tulip bulbs in my fridge incubating till Spring when I will try my hand at forcing them. We'll see if I can a fresh tulip yet to blossom in this desert.

  11. the weather here is horrible, cold and very wet :/ its so odd that there really isn't a huge distance between the areas but the mountains and proximity to water make such a difference in the weather

not much colour here either, tho my hydrangea seems to be still blue/purple :)
