My Sunday Photo this week is taken from the window of a train as I tootled along the East Coast of Scotland from Aberdeen to Edinburgh.
I'm pretty pleased with the results, especially with looking through a slightly dirty window and the jiggly movement.
It is an absolutely stunning coastline if the weathers favourable and as you can see by these photos it certainly was good weather.
I would have liked to have taken more scenic views, but partway through the journey a rather handsome young man came to claim his reserved seat next to me. Unfortunately, his was the window seat and I don't think he'd have appreciate an old woman leaning over him to get the shot!
I'm in Edinburgh to spend some girlie time with my daughter.
Who knows by next week I might have more photos of Edinburgh, but I'm not promising...
What do the guys say?
What happens on tour stays on tour!
I'm linking up with My Sunday Photo as usual.

Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for visiting.
I hope to see you again soon
I just love the Scottish coastline. The cliffs and beaches are just so stunning. I've never made it to Aberdeen but hopefully one day soon. Hope you have a brilliant time in Edinburgh :)
ReplyDeleteThe coastline all around Scotland is stunning if the weather is right Tas. I love the beaches and usually there's hardly anyone on them.
DeleteThanks and I hope you have a great weekend too.
Oh how wonderful are those views <3
ReplyDeleteThere are pretty special aren't they Louise. Not so good if it's grey and raining although then they can be spectacular too.
DeleteSo beautiful and actually looking remarkably like here even though I am the other end of the country.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely...but I think there may be a slight variation in temperature (hehe) I suppose it keeps most of the beaches so empty, but if the weather is good then they're perfect!
DeleteThose photos are beautiful. The Scottish coastline is just stunning, especially when the weather is good too :-)
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is Louise if the weather is behaving!
DeleteThankfully so far this weekend it is!
What beautiful views! Well done you for capturing them from a train x
ReplyDeleteI just can't resist Kim...although I had to when the young man sat down. It really got to me that I could take more on the journey, but the train was full. Maybe the weather and window seat might be okay on my return journey? Fingers crossed
DeleteA great set of shots - looks like the weather you have had this week has been better than what we have experienced down south!
ReplyDeleteSteady on Tim...we've had quite a fair amount of wind and rain over this summer. That's one of the reasons I couldn't resist taking these photos. It was great weather for the journey down, but I arrived to rain!
DeleteScotland looks so stunning, 2018 I aim to visit to see some of it
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
It is Darren, especially if the sun comes out to play.
DeleteThere are some fantastic landscapes just waiting for you to capture!
Thanks for hosting MSP once again :D
Gorgeous views and remarkable shots since you're in a train.
ReplyDeleteYou did well to get such good photos, I love train journeys especially when they run along the coast #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteWow! Fab pics! Nice and clear considering you were moving. Beautiful coastline. I shall save these and add to my folder for painting inspiration. Who knows one day I may paint one and post it. Enjoy your girlie time. Hugs
ReplyDeleteYou'd be surprised how many younger men appreciate an older woman's beauty though. That being said, my wife's a little older than me but only by almost two years, so that's not a considerable gap especially as we get older.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, look forward to more if possible!
ReplyDeletelovely photos :)
ReplyDeleteI recognize a lot of that coast line :)
I love the Scottish coastline. The beaches are wonderful and so often you have them to yourself. Smiling at the golf course on the edge. I wonder how many balls make it over the side and into the sea. Hope you had a good visit to Edinburgh. I've only ever been there to work. Must change that. #MySundayPhoto
