Flooding the streets with art... WOYWW 338

Diddledee dee... Diddledee dee.... Diddledee dee...
It's all go in this household at the moment.
I've just taken a large box of Christmas card orders to the Post Office this morning as I'm still helping my daughter with her orders along with building muscles carrying boxes and envelopes.
It's amazing how heavy paper can be... but it'll save me going to the gym!
My table was clear, for a few minutes, but now I'm getting ready for tomorrow's random act of kindness event.
It's my first year participating in this project, but it's been going for three years now.
It's the creation of Scott Wong from Wisconsin.
He wanted to participate in random acts of kindness after spending Thanksgiving with family and friends and not indulging in the Black Friday mayhem.
If you'd like to read more or perhaps spread the word, or even better still participate then click here
It was difficult to choose which pieces of art to include and I'm still not convinced that this is the definite final pieces.
I wanted to include the children in this act... hopefully passing on not only the wonderful surprise, but also that it is far easier than we think to pass on an act of kindness.
I've included bookmarks (which may be dropped near a library or children's play park)
The Teddy Bear hopefully will appeal to small children too.
An autumn watercolour of a fallen leaf and finally a Highland Cow... just because.
I may also includele a zentangle for the colouring craze fans, but it's difficult to choose which one.

So there you are... my desk today.
If you'd like to see more desks dotted around the globe then click here to join the "What's on your desk Wednesday" (WOYWW)
Have a fantastic day and spread the kindness and smiles.
Thanks for stopping by my place.

  1. You have been busy - love the idea of gifting the streets, well done.
    Have a good week

    1. Thanks Christine, I believe it may rain here tomorrow so I'm busy making sure they will be kept dry. Not long to go now.
I'm off to start a new design this afternoon.
Have fun and enjoy your day

  2. What a lovely thing to participate in, Neesie! I'm all for random acts of kindness and I'm sure that whoever finds your art will be absolutely delighted. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #31

    1. I'm just hoping when I revisit next week the art will still be there!
I'm hoping that someone likes them and adopts them.
Thanks for popping by and I hope you have a great week too. What's left of it!

  3. Sounds like a really fascinating concept -good luck! Ali #11

    1. Hi Ali,
Thanks... it's the first time that I've joined in but this is the third year since Scott Wong created the concept.
I just hope someone ends up with something they like and it makes them smile.
Have a great day and thanks for visiting my place.

  4. Such a wonderful idea and I do love your Highland cow.
    Sandy xx

    1. I'm hoping that Hettie found a good home... she was last seen grazing in the park.
There's been such a huge response on the Facebook page that I really can't spend the amount of time that would be needed to check if someone's found her.
People (lots of children which is wonderful) have posted photo's of their finds. They all look thrilled so I think it's been a huge success.

  5. They will be lucky to chance upon your works of art. I had never heard of this before you talked about it. Have a happy day!! :)

    1. Aww thanks Rita, I know that the school seemed to be happy with their find.
I think it's been a huge success and now the media are getting involved. This is the third year it's been happening and it seems to be growing globally.
I really loved doing it... it was so much fun.
I hope you have a happy day too

  6. Hi Neesie! That is such a lovely idea, to leave little pieces of art where people can find them and be made happy by their find. I especially like that you are deliberately including children. Well done you - and all who are joining in!
Love that teddy and the "I'm reading" bookmark.

    1. Thank you Lizzie, it was unbelievably brilliant to be part of the global project. I never thought I would get so much out of it but I did, especially when the school contacted me. I'm not sure about the other pieces of work and whether they have found new homes yet, because there are so many people posting to the Facebook page with their finds... (lot's of incredibly happy children's photo's especially) that it would take hours and hours to check through them all.
      Have a great weekend.

  7. What stunning art work. You are such a talented lady! Take care Zo xx 33

    1. Aww bless you Zo... you'll be having me blush ;D
      Have a wonderful weekend

  8. Oh these are sweet and it is so fabulous of you to be giving them away!

    1. I just hope that someone enjoys finding them ;D

I get so excited to see you here and love to read your thoughts and comments.
I always try to answer each one personally (I think it's only polite)
