My Sunday Photo... Splash an Dash!

Yes the snow has arrived and this was Muffin's first meeting.
She ran out for her usual last minute night-time call, but came to a sudden stop when her paws touched the ground.
The snow wasn't too deep but it still came as a shock!
We've now discovered the splash an dash technique.
Apologies for the quality of this photo.
If there's a better opportunity to take another tomorrow morning then I'll post one.
That is unless the snow becomes too deep and there's a chance we'd lose her!
Have a great Sunday everyone.
(The internet is playing up too but I hope it'll be okay in the morning to add link to Darren's Sunday Photo link)

  1. Oh bless her, I can imagine it was quite a shock if she wasn't quite expecting cold wet stuff on her paws!

    1. She's never seen snow before and it certainly made her slam the breaks on as she dashed out of the door!

  2. Even down south we've had slushy sleety stuff today. Winter really has arrived!

    1. We haven't seen anymore snow since Saturday night but it's still bitterly cold.
We could well be in for more soon. Stay cozy!

  3. I knew it wouldn't be long before I saw a snow photo, my kids would be very jealous, none for years here in Cornwall.

    1. I haven't really seen snow here since we've been away but I believe there was one severe winter two years ago. I'm not sure if I miss it or not.
I'll take it for Christmas, but then I'd like it to vanish and spring to appear - quickly please!

  4. Oh, I bet she wasn't impressed! We haven't had any snow yet... not that I mind that :)

    1. Well it came as a shock considering she has lived in the Middle East and Australia for most of her life. A winter in Scotland has certainly come as a shock to her, even before the snow arrived!

  5. Oh poor love what a shock, hope she learns to like it or it's going to be a tough winter, bless. #mysundayphoto

    1. I know... it's a shame Catie. She just doesn't like to be cold.
She's wearing her jumpers day and night at the moment... and shaking if I look at her, but that's possibly just for some more treats! I can't stand to see her unhappy so she's playing me like a fiddle!

    1. I bet they do Darren, it's a wonderland when you're just a wee toot.
Muffin really doesn't do cold well. It's such a shame because spring is a long way off.
Have fun this week and if we get more snow I'll be sure to send some your way!
Thanks for the link up once again.

  7. Splash and dash! I like it. Once when we had hail sitting on our drive our dogs refused point blank to go on to it.

    1. Hehe... well it certainly sums it up Debbie,
I think I'm with your dogs on the hail and frosticles on the driveway. I've made the mistake of nipping out to the bin with nothing on my feet and oh boy, I danced and jumped back indoors in record time!

    1. Well we need her to be quick in this weather ... she's not a fan of the cold.
There's a treat waiting if she's quick which is an added bonus!

    1. She's not a fan of the cold Eileen, so she's quick... but there is always a chicken treat as a reinforcement for good behaviour.

    1. Well since you wrote this lovely comment Mo, we've had warmer weather although it's starting to dip once again.
      Bizarre weather indeed.
I've been busy with visitors, so I'll apologise for my tardy time lapse with my response.
I hope your week is going well and you have a wonderful weekend ahead ;D

I wouldn't mind a little dusting on Christmas Eve but then it can disappear soon after.

  15. Every year snow came as such a shock when I had little house dogs (chihuahuas). They knew all about splash and dash. LOL!
