Yes the snow has arrived and this was Muffin's first meeting.
She ran out for her usual last minute night-time call, but came to a sudden stop when her paws touched the ground.
The snow wasn't too deep but it still came as a shock!
We've now discovered the splash an dash technique.
Apologies for the quality of this photo.
If there's a better opportunity to take another tomorrow morning then I'll post one.
That is unless the snow becomes too deep and there's a chance we'd lose her!
Have a great Sunday everyone.
(The internet is playing up too but I hope it'll be okay in the morning to add link to Darren's Sunday Photo link)
Oh bless her, I can imagine it was quite a shock if she wasn't quite expecting cold wet stuff on her paws!
ReplyDeleteShe's never seen snow before and it certainly made her slam the breaks on as she dashed out of the door!
DeleteEven down south we've had slushy sleety stuff today. Winter really has arrived!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't seen anymore snow since Saturday night but it's still bitterly cold.
DeleteWe could well be in for more soon. Stay cozy!
I knew it wouldn't be long before I saw a snow photo, my kids would be very jealous, none for years here in Cornwall.
ReplyDeleteI haven't really seen snow here since we've been away but I believe there was one severe winter two years ago. I'm not sure if I miss it or not.
DeleteI'll take it for Christmas, but then I'd like it to vanish and spring to appear - quickly please!
Oh, I bet she wasn't impressed! We haven't had any snow yet... not that I mind that :)
ReplyDeleteWell it came as a shock considering she has lived in the Middle East and Australia for most of her life. A winter in Scotland has certainly come as a shock to her, even before the snow arrived!
DeleteOh poor love what a shock, hope she learns to like it or it's going to be a tough winter, bless. #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteI know... it's a shame Catie. She just doesn't like to be cold.
DeleteShe's wearing her jumpers day and night at the moment... and shaking if I look at her, but that's possibly just for some more treats! I can't stand to see her unhappy so she's playing me like a fiddle!
Haha I love it, we haven't had any snow but the girls really want some
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
I bet they do Darren, it's a wonderland when you're just a wee toot.
DeleteMuffin really doesn't do cold well. It's such a shame because spring is a long way off.
Have fun this week and if we get more snow I'll be sure to send some your way!
Thanks for the link up once again.
Splash and dash! I like it. Once when we had hail sitting on our drive our dogs refused point blank to go on to it.
ReplyDelete#SundayPhoto
Hehe... well it certainly sums it up Debbie,
DeleteI think I'm with your dogs on the hail and frosticles on the driveway. I've made the mistake of nipping out to the bin with nothing on my feet and oh boy, I danced and jumped back indoors in record time!
Haha splash & dash! Bless her #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteWell we need her to be quick in this weather ... she's not a fan of the cold.
DeleteThere's a treat waiting if she's quick which is an added bonus!
Aw cute. Dogs are really funny in the snow. We only had a dusting thankfully. That'll do me for this year (fingers crossed)
ReplyDeleteWell we've been the same and that's the way I'd like it... except for maybe a little on Christmas Eve ;D
DeleteBrilliant! How cute is Muffin! she's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt sends my pooch barmy, he runs around in it like a greyhound lol! x
#MySundayPhoto
Oh she's cute Jayne and she knows it!
Deletehehehe! Splash & dash made me chuckle...
ReplyDeleteWe had some snow Friday night but it didn't lay...
We've not seen any more snow since this dusting thankfully although I wouldn't mind a little on Christmas Eve.
DeleteHa, that is cute splash and dash. Cute pup! Happy Sunday, enjoy your new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteShe's not a fan of the cold Eileen, so she's quick... but there is always a chicken treat as a reinforcement for good behaviour.
DeleteAwww, poor Muffy! I don't blame her making a dash of it, I do the same going out to the bin ;)
ReplyDeleteChilly chilly weather has arrived. Hope you're staying cosy and enjoying your Sunday xoxo
Well since you wrote this lovely comment Mo, we've had warmer weather although it's starting to dip once again.
DeleteBizarre weather indeed.
I've been busy with visitors, so I'll apologise for my tardy time lapse with my response.
I hope your week is going well and you have a wonderful weekend ahead ;D
Yes, the snow is here in some parts!
ReplyDeleteWell thankfully we didn't have any more snow.
DeleteI wouldn't mind a little dusting on Christmas Eve but then it can disappear soon after.
Every year snow came as such a shock when I had little house dogs (chihuahuas). They knew all about splash and dash. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHaha... yeah it mustn't be much fun being so low slung.
DeleteI certainly wouldn't like to have my tummy constantly frozen.
That will be my cat if we get any here! #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteThankfully we haven't had any more snow since this photo was taken.
DeleteHehe, that would be my boys if we got snow here...mind you, they have an aversion to going out in the rain to do their business too.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd be just the same Serena!
DeleteOh bless that must have been a right shock to her system. Xx #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteWell considering that she was born in the Middle East and spent five years there before then living in Australia... she's not too happy about the Scottish weather!
DeleteOh bless her that must have been a right shock to her system. Xx #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteI think it was a shock. It's the first snow that she's ever seen never mind stepped into :(
Deletethat's funny neesie. our dogs used to hate going outside to pee in the rain. it was funny seeing them lift their feet in disgust and run inside.
ReplyDeleteI think she's getting a little more used to it because some of the time she can dawdle and forget why she's gone out there!
DeleteYou are so funny and your little dog is so cute - splash and dash - I will have to remember that!
ReplyDeleteSandy xx
Why will you have to remember splash and dash Sandy... surely you're not going to use it. I just say I need to visit the ladies!
