Working in a Fog

How can it be Friday already?
Seriously?
Well my phone, radio and calendar tell me it is, but I'm finding it hard to believe.
One of the reasons could be because I've been in a fog over the last three days... quite literally.
Although the temperatures have been unseasonably warm this week, they've been accompanied by thick fog. Sometimes so much so that we could hardly see the garden fence.
So I took that as a great excuse to indulge in a painting.
After finishing the Inktober challenge I needed some colour.
The grapevine provided me with that fix.
I apologise for the poor quality of this photograph... but foggy conditions certainly make photography challenging.
Hopefully, the sun will come up tomorrow...(that sounds like a musical).
If that's the case, then I'll be certain to replace the photo with a better one.
I'm off to join in with the Paint Party over at Kristin and Eva's place.
Paint Party Friday
Have fun and Happy Painting to you all.

    1. Thanks Terra,
I'm happy to report that finally the fog lifted today but I didn't get to paint.
Maybe I will tomorrow with any luck!

  2. Hi Neesie, your painting is beautiful! I had forgotten how talented you are. Hope the sun does come out tomorrow. I actually think we may get some sun, too. We've certainly had our fair share of rain lately. Talk soon!

    1. Aww bless you Laurie, for such a lovely compliment.
The sun didn't come out here, but thankfully the fog did lift. We haven't had heavy rain lately but we've certainly had lots of mizzle (fine rain)
I hope the sun came to call on you and will continue into the weekend.

    1. I think the fact that everything was grey made me crave some colour Janet,
It worked so I'll have to have another play soon.

  16. Beautiful work. You have a fantastic illustrative style. I hope the fog goes soon. It was bad on Monday in the borders when i was visiting but the east coast seems to have had it worst.

    1. Well I wish I could say that the fog disappeared but it came back this morning. That's over four days of fog and that's not funny.
Oh how I miss the sky to say nothing of the sun!
Thank you for your lovely compliment about my style. It's always interesting to hear people's view on your artwork.
      Have a great creative weekend.

    1. Hmm... sunshine? Let me think... don't tell me... I'm sure I'll remember sunshine in a minute. It just feels like it's been so long since we were lucky enough to see it!
The fog was here again this morning. It must like it here, because it just doesn't want to leave!
Thank you for your kind words... and I hope you have a sunny weekend even if we don't ;D

  19. Hello Neesie. Yes I spotted that your not a Scottish Monster. Thank you for visiting my bird blog. I see that you are a talented artist as well as pretty handy with a camera.

I hope our (almost) similar weather patterns improve. We had the Indian Summer, then fog now just rain but things will get better.

    1. (Haha) Yep Neesie not Nessie because even if I say so myself, I don't think I'm a monster... well not unless I haven't had enough sleep!
Thank you for your kind words. I feel I play with art and photography but it makes me happy.
I'm not sure where you are located, but if you've had the four days of fog that we've had...you'll possibly be craving to see the sky or sun.
Let's hope this weekend will improve although the forecast doesn't look favourable.
Enjoy your weekend, no matter what the weather.
