My wish came true... we have sheep in the back field!
I couldn't resist taking a photo of them this morning, but unfortunately I had to take it from inside an upstairs window.
The sheep are still a little nervous in their new home and run at the least thing.
They're just come right up to the house and set the intruder light off, but it's too dark to take the photo now. Mufftypup is aware of them being there, but can't work out what they are... or what she should do about it. We're keeping a close eye on here when she goes out into the garden.
I think the ewes might think she's a lamb.
A small lamb!
(for those of you who haven't met Muffin... here's a brief video of her woodland walk this morning)

Have a great weekend everyone.
How lovely to have sheep in the field and to be able to watch them from your window. Love the gorgeous blue sky and the shadows in this photo - just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's not the best photo with being taken through the window, but I still thought it was worth taking. It was a stunning morning especially for November!
DeleteThat really is one heck of a view from your window :) #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteI love it Victoria... it never ceases to make me stop for a second and be grateful.
DeleteIt changes virtually every hour of the day and there's always something to catch your attention.
Oh wow, how lovely, a field doesn't seem right unless there are some sheep or what not dotted about, gorgeous view
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what I think Amanda,
DeleteThe field had been left empty for a couple of years, so I was thrilled when the sheep came to visit.
What a gorgeous view, and the sheep are the perfect finishing touch :)
ReplyDeleteAren't they just Sara,
DeleteThey are a constant source of amusement, watching their antics.
What a beautiful landscape. Stunning picture x
ReplyDeleteThank you Susan,
DeleteI've taken so many photo's of this view because it's ever changing. I love it.
Your spread is just lovely. How cool to have your own sheep wandering over it. How many did you get? Are you raising them for wool? Really cool, love this!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nikki, but I seem to have misled you... they aren't my sheep. They are grazing on the farmland that backs up to our garden. I know the farmer and I've told him I'll keep an eye on them... keep them safe.
DeleteLovely view, I hope Muffty and the sheep get along
ReplyDeleteWithout a doubt... she will because we'll make sure she behaves.
DeleteShe's still unsure of them and gruff's from the window, but that's as near as she's got to them. We had an incident just the other week when the sheep were in the adjacent field. A dog was chasing them and nipping at their ears and legs. It wasn't very nice so I'm paranoid no dog will go near... well not on my watch anyway!
I'd take a view like that any day! Aww, what a cute pup! Hopefully the sheep come around in the coming weeks.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great view Leslie and I never get tired of it... no matter what time of day or season. The sheep have settled in well now and been right up to the garden fence although they are very skitzy.
DeleteMuffy is cute, but she knows it and works it to perfection!
Love the view and the sheep! What a wonderful thing to look out of the window and see!
ReplyDeleteIt's fantastic and very relaxing Erika,
DeleteThey are fascinating to watch... which has come as a complete surprise to me.
What a beautiful view Neesie and right on your doorstep x
ReplyDeleteIt's is indeed Cathy... it never ceases to make me thankful for such a gorgeous view.
DeleteSunsets are a particular favourite.
Oh my word, what my daughter would give for sheep so close to home! #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteBefore we left and went overseas, we had two years where the farmer put sheep with their lambs into this field. It was fantastic and so amusing watching their antics.
DeleteYour daughter would have been delighted to see them. They would bounce and jump and be a constant source of amusement.
I do love a good shot of the sky, how pretty it is, the blue sky and the clouds look amazing.
ReplyDeleteKatrina x #SundayPhoto
It's such a treat to have this ever constant view. There's always something to amaze or admire. I love the huge sky.
DeleteWhat a lovely view you wake up to, you're so very lucky!
ReplyDeleteWe are indeed Jane but I try not to take it for granted.
DeleteI am constantly looking out and seeing something to capture my interest no matter what time of day, weather or season.
Ah! The sheep! The sheep! No wonder Muffy is confused. LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd she still is Rita, the world can be a very confusing place when your a mini shihtzu!
DeleteBut having said that I think the sheep are confused over her too
;D
What an incredible view, I wish I had that view from my window
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
We are so lucky to have it Darren, but we never take it for granted. We had to travel for over twelve years overseas, leaving it behind... so now we've returned I'm not missing a day without being grateful for it.
DeleteThanks for hosting once more.
Fantastic photo! Such a lovely view! x
ReplyDeleteWell it's a shame it's behind glass Kim, but it was the best I could do. I wanted to take the elevated view and those windows don't open at the front... only at the side.
DeleteThat's a fine view to have through your window, all I see is other houses on all sides! Lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI've had those views too Lisa... and that's why I know I'm so lucky to have this one now. I appreciate it daily!
DeleteI still love where you live - you can't talk me out of it!! When we said outside of Bath for a week, one of the things we loved was seeing the rolling countryside with all the sheep.
ReplyDeleteMuffy is so cute - I bet she love smelling and playing in those leaves!
sandy xx
So do I Sandy... I couldn't wish for more. I absolutely adore it!
DeleteShe loves her walks in general whether it's in the woods, park or country lanes. She can clock up quite a few miles even with her little legs.
A bit like myself (haha)
lovely photo, i miss seeing sheep and cattle in the fields, in fact living in Dubai I just miss the fields....lol
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean because I missed all of it too, when we lived in Qatar. I missed the seasons, trees and greenery in general. I had hanging baskets, vegetables and masses of pots in my concrete garden.
DeleteThat's one of the reasons why I can't get enough of this view. I never tire of it.
How wonderful ... a view to dream of! Anita xx
ReplyDeleteI never get tired of this view Anita,
DeleteThere's always something to look at, appreciate, or capture your interest.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for popping by ;D
