My Sunday Photo... Halloween Sunset

I'm not such a great fan of Halloween, but it certainly seems to be gaining popularity.
I think it may be due to my childhood and not liking scary things.
We never went trick or treating or had costumes, but we did bob for apples and had them hanging up on strings to try to eat them with our hands tied behind our backs.
My Sunday photo this week was taken in my garden and has a Halloween feel to it.
I think the building look a little like a church, but it is in fact a ruined barn with my new pheasant weather vane proudly perched on top.
(The wood pigeons have to find a new perch!)
The sunset was a spectacular one and I'm joining up with the Sunday Photo link as usual to share it.

Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for visiting

  1. Such a fabulous silhouette shot. The barn is very halloween! But you're right, if you hadn't told me I would probably have thought it to be a church.

    1. Thanks Purfylle,
I thought it might be better to say it was an actual barn... because it even looks like a church to me! ;D

    1. I have to agree Darren it's my favourite times of the year too, although I like most unless it's too cold!

    1. Oooohhh don't Mo, you're scaring me! It's extremely dark here once the daylight leaves us with no street lights etc . I've always been a wuss and that's possibly why I'm not a huge fan of Halloween.
      Strange but true!
Have a great Sunday and if you're like us here today the sun is shining although it's a little chilly.

    1. It looks spooky in this shot but it isn't in real life. We've had so much fun with this folly.
I wouldn't be without it... it's quite a feature now.

  7. What a gorgeous sunset and that building does look a little like a church. It does have a slightly eerie feel to it, perfect for Halloween :-)

    1. Thanks Louise for your lovely comment.
We call that particular building, the folly and we've had some brilliant bonfire night parties using the structure to contain the fire. It looks fantastic lit up.

    1. Hehe... it's a ruined barn and not a church although I have to agree it does look like one. The weather vane looks like a cross too.
