Phew...I'm a little late today.
One of the reasons being that I've been to the vet's (yet again) with Muffin.
She's still not put on any weight, but there again she's still not really eating and last night she was sick numerous times, so that's not surprising.
We think that she's still loosing weight, but I haven't weighed her since Wednesday.
Basically, because I couldn't bare it if she's still losing.
Anyway, we have more medication and are due to see a consultant vet next week, if she doesn't improve.
So obviously, she's been our top priority this week and therefore I haven't had much free time for painting, but I did manage to finish off my Easter Bunny though.
I know he's a little late for Easter, and it's a little like seeing Christmas decorations or cards in January, but I know a few people who were interested in seeing how the finished painting turned out.
So here he is....
(I thought he went well with my daffodils...it's just a pity it isn't Easter)
I think he definitely looks like a bunny caught in the headlights, don't you?
Maybe he's just in a panic that someone will take away his chocolate eggs.
I'm saying that it's a he...but maybe it's a she...because obviously she loves chocolate!
The colours aren't really showing up correctly, because it's actually painted on white paper and I loved the effect of the sky, where I used a sponge.
So how many chocolate eggs do you have left...or is that a silly question?
I'm quite proud of the fact that I have one large one still, but I think it's on borrowed time!
I will try to visit as many blogs as I can, but I'll obviously have to see how the week goes.
But I will definitely visit all that come to call here.
Can I ask that you send some positive, healing energy our way for Mufftypup.
She sure could use some right now.
I'm linking up with the Paint Party Friday link.
Thank you Eva and Kristin for hosting such a fantastic get-together for creatives.
Enjoy your Friday and have fun this weekend
What a darling bunny Neesie! So worrying about Muffy - she's in my thoughts such a lot at the moment, got a piece of my heart from the word go. I know she's always loved her chicken and if she's off that then she's certainly not herself right now.
ReplyDeleteSending positive thoughts and lots of love - to you as well as Muffy.
Hugs
Di xx
Thanks Di, your positive thoughts and love must be working today because Muffy has eaten reasonably well today. We've also managed to get her medication into her without too much of a wrestle.
DeleteBy the way she's now becoming partial to a little steak! ;)
Sending hugs back to you xx
Sorry to hear that your little Sweetie is sick, and hope she is soon better. Love the Easter bunny. I didn't get any choccie eggs! :( Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThanks Valerie, we hope so too.
DeleteWhat's this I hear??? You didn't get ANY choccie? Oh my goodness I'm so sorry. I would have shared some of mine if I'd have known.
I've still got a little of a Lindt one, but it's over a week old now... so I better eat it. Sorry!
Happy PPF to you
Hope muffin will be ok. Your Easter bunny is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI do wish that Muffin was feeling better, poor baby. I know this is hard for you.
ReplyDeleteYour bunny is so beautiful and those eggs are lovely. Seeing this in no way upsets me. After all, Easter wasn't that long ago :)
Healing Hugs to Muffin and to You~
We're working on it Jan, so hopefully we'll start to get some positive weight gain. I have to agree it is rather stressful though.
DeleteBy some strange phenomenon I still have part of a large Lindt egg. I think it could disappear later this evening, because I'd hate for it to go 'off'!!!
Have a great weekend and thanks again for your lovely words.
Best wishes to poor little Muffin! I hope she improves.
ReplyDeleteAww Debra...we're determined to try everything to get her back to full health. Thanks for your kind words.
DeleteSo sorry to hear that Muffy isn't improving despite the vet's best efforts. Let's hope the consultant can do better and the wee soul is back to his usual cheery self in no time. The bunny is lovely, if a little surprised to be surrounded by so many eggs. I only had one choc egg and it's all eaten up - chocolate doesn't last long in this house ... mea culpa :) Hope you, and Muffy, have a very good week. Hugs, Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth, we hope she'll be on her way to recovering her full health soon. The bunny does look surprised doesn't he? (hehe)
DeleteChocolate doesn't normally last very long in this house either, but then there's always chocolate hiding somewhere. My lips are sealed...I couldn't possibly say ;)
I haven't been by in a long time, and its sad to hear about Muffin. I hope all is OK. Your bunny is adorable. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHi Erika, nice to see you once again. Yes, unfortunately Muffin has been quite poorly for a few weeks now, but we're hopefully getting the right medication to help her get well once again.
DeleteHugs back to you
He does look look like he was caught right in the middle of doing something! A real cutie!
ReplyDeleteHe's definitely guilty if every I saw one Renee. Thanks for your visit and comment once again.
DeleteOh Denise...you know I am sending love, light, prayers or whatever else you and Muffy need!! Your bunny is so gorgeous and looks amazing on my big screen pc. Just like a child our hearts break when our animals are sick, praying for some resolve for your beautiful baby!!
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs
Giggles
Aww bless you Giggles...whatever you are sending it seems to be working, as today has been a good day. She's actually eaten a little today, so that takes some of the stress away and we've managed to get her medication into her without too much of a wrestle!
DeleteOh no...a big screen to look at my artwork! (gulp) You'll be able to see all the errors and mistakes with that size screen.
They'll be no hiding anything.
Love and hugs back to you
Lovely Easter bunny and flowers.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping Muffy will be better soon.
Happy weekend xx
Thank you sirkkis, I thought the bunny needed some spring flowers and the daffodils seemed just right.
DeleteMuffy is doing a little better today thank you.
I hope you are having a great weekend too
The Easter Bunny is gorgeous and the flowers and eggs complement him perfectly. A really delightful scene! It's great seeing the finished painting so thanks for posting it Neesie.
ReplyDeleteVery best wishes for your dear little Muffin. Hugs xx
It's just a pity my delightful scene wasn't ready for Easter Sue...(haha) Never mind, at least now he'll be ready for next year!
DeleteThanks for your best wishes. I hope you are having an enjoyable weekend too.
Sending love, prayers and hugs to you. Your bunny is a cutie. Deer in the headlights is right but so soft and cuddly. Warm hugs
ReplyDeleteCute bunny! I didn't even get any chocolate for Easter this year...but it would have been long gone by now--LOL!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely have Muffy in my thoughts and prayers. Definitely!
Love and hugs from Fargo.
Aww I'm sorry you didn't have any chocolate...I have just half an egg left now (which is pretty amazing for me - but I did have a few) but it'll probably disappear tonight. I wouldn't want it to go 'off'!!!
DeleteMuffy is having a better day today. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. It's much appreciated.
hope Muffin is OK and the consultant is of help
