The Easter Holiday is renowned for being the biggest gardening weekend of the year, so I thought I'd show you a little of our garden.
There are lots of activities in other parts of the garden, work in progress as they say, but thankfully this is my little bit of sanctuary.
(It's a pity that the sun wasn't shining today...typical...but it did try)
As usual I'm going to link up with My Sunday Photo over at Photalife.com
I hope you are having a fabulous long weekend... I know I will once I find those chocolate eggs!
Happy Easter to those that celebrate this holiday and for anyone else I wish you a fantastic weekend.
Thanks for visiting my place and I hope to see you again soon.
If you entered into my Giveaway draw for the Mother and Baby Giraffe watercolour print...you might like to see Muffin pick out the winning name...click the link below.
Thank you to all who entered... I'm just sorry that you all couldn't win.
Your garden looks so neat and tame. I know it takes a lot of work and yours clearly is paying off - our garden needs more work, but I'm not a big gardener so an excuse is never far away!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Easter
xx

Thanks Tracey, but I'm a fair weather gardener...I get inspired when the sun is shining, but don't like to feel the chilly North East Scottish wind when it's blowing a hoolie.
DeleteI hope you are having a lovely Easter weekend too
I feel like the farm here is waking up too, such a lovely time of year filled with hope of a good summer ahead.
ReplyDeletePrecisely, it seems that every time I go out into the garden there's a new arrival...giving a fantastic pop of colour.
DeleteWhat a pretty garden and I love the dramatic sky in the second photo :-)
ReplyDeleteI chose this side view of the garden because it's the most organised one. The other side has a ruined barn and trees. On the other side of the house we're working on a new veg plot and chicken coup...so lots to do. Hopefully the weather will be favourable so that we can get main work done.
DeleteHappy Easter to you as well! Marvellous garden image, although you must tell me how you keep it so tidy and well kept! #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteWell we do have a dog and a 24 year old that still insists on playing football out there...so I do find the odd 'accidental damage'!
DeleteEnjoy your long weekend.
What a beautiful garden Neesie, the perfect place to sit and enjoy nature. Have a wonderful Easter xx
ReplyDeleteI do plan to sit and enjoy the garden Cathy, but that will come later when we have all the main jobs completed. I'm really looking forward to it...hopefully the weather will be kind too.
DeleteBeautiful garden! The Glimpse of sun from behind the cloud is lovely! #Mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteThanks...I thought the sunlight was great too and wanted to share it.
DeleteIt looks a lovely relaxing place to be, so glad colour is returning to the garden
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter and thank you for linking up
Well hopefully the relaxing will come at some stage Darren, once everything has popped up and the weeding is under control.
DeleteNow we've also started a veggie plot it seems that there's always something that needs sorting.
You really do have a beautiful garden x Happy Easter. #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteThank you Victoria. I use the garden as my therapy along with my photography and artwork.
DeleteI hope you are having a wonderful long weekend.
Happy Easter to you too.
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Regine, it can be quite a lot of work...but it certainly gives it's reward.
DeleteHappy Easter to you! Love your bunny painting in the last post!
ReplyDeleteHopefully I'll get a chance to finish painting Bunny at some stage over this long weekend Debra. Happy Easter to you too :D
DeleteYou garden is so gorgeous - I don't know how much garden you have but I know you have been planting a new one. Do you and your husband take care of it all? I bet your home and land is out of this world wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteSandy xx
This view is one part of the garden that has been worked on...on the other side is the old barn ruin and wall. Then there's the front garden with a raised lawn and trees along the driveway, and a rockery and lawn the other side of the driveway. The new Veggie plot is on the other side of the house and was just a waste land of wild weeds. That's coming along nicely now and we hope to have a few girls come to stay! That's chickens to you and me, but Chicken George (my hubby's new name) insisted they'll be his girls!
DeleteIt's quite a lot of work...hence not all the time to paint/draw as I would like because we do it all ourselves!
I keep hinting that some help might be nice...but it does keep him busy which is good.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
your garden looks wonderful! looks like a great place to sit and have a picnic when the weather gets better :)
ReplyDeleteSit...in the garden? Oh now wouldn't that be nice Jennifer. I'll have to remember that! (haha)
DeleteWe've had a really cold snap last night and a freezing hoolie blowing for the last two days...but all is still and warming up now.
I believe we might have a staggering 17 degrees on Thursday! That's not a typo...17 WHOLE DEGREES!!!
Beautiful garden, Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine. I'm a little late with my reply, but I hope you had a wonderful Happy Easter.
DeleteYour garden looks lovely Neesie, well worth all the hard work.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely Easter, we did ... and now onto a new week, I wish you a good one.
All the best Jan
It gives a lot of pleasure which makes the hard work worthwhile. There's always something to appreciate.
DeleteI'm a little late replying to your comment, but I hope you had a lovely Easter weekend too and a good week ahead.
