I hope you'll forgive me for posting another photo of my visiting doves this week, but I just couldn't resist this one.
As usual the doves arrived on to my decking and then I noticed one had brought me a gift.
We are in troubled times at the moment so it was beautiful to see this offering of peace.
I don't think many words are needed to accompany this shot except to say I am linking up with Photalife once again and Image-in-ing.blogspot.co.uk
Peace On Earth
What a pose!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just Andy. I couldn't believe it, but managed to grab my camera just in time ;D
DeleteSimply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Di xx
I thought it was just perfect for a Sunday posting Di
DeleteHugs back to you :D
He looks like he has turned to pose especially for you, a lovely capture
ReplyDeleteThey come onto the decking to let me know that they've arrived and are ready for their breakfast...but this was the first time I've seen this. Obviously nesting potential. I'm wondering where they might build one. I couldn't believe when he turned and looked right at me. Thankfully the camera was right on hand!
DeleteBeautiful capture, the pose is perfect
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
I was thrilled to see him in this pose Darren, he's never done that before and thankfully my camera was just within arms reach!
DeleteEnjoy your holiday weekend and thanks for hosting once again.
I love your Dove photos, you need to keep them coming. They are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks.. oh you might regret that because I've got quite a few of them (haha) Have a great weekend hopefully with lots of sun ;D
DeleteAh that's lovely. Not often we see doves here
ReplyDeleteThese doves are my daily visitors, but I have no idea where they come from. We've had up to seven at once, but at the moment we've only got two. I feel very privileged to have them come to our garden.
DeleteYou are absolutely the best Denise - love this photo but all of your photos are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteSandy xx
Hehe...Oh Sandy you say the nicest things ;D
DeleteThis is wonderful and we really need a few more doves and less hawks #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteExactly Sally, I'm always a little nervous seeing them flying in or out across the farmlands. They even do a fly by every now and then circling the house to stretch their wings. They stand out so much I just hope that the hawks aren't looking!
DeleteThis was the perfect capture of a rare moment--wow! Just perfect!! :)
ReplyDeleteWasn't I lucky Rita...because a few seconds later he dropped the leaf and then fly down from the post!
DeleteWhat a beautiful gift and sign...so lovely~
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm hoping Jan. It certainly was a special moment and was gone straight after I clicked the camera.
DeleteThis is definitely the perfect capture. So beautiful x
ReplyDeleteThank you Victoria...that means a lot to me coming from such a great photographer as yourself.
Deletea peace offering or maybe its thinking you can have this, give me more food :p
ReplyDeleteI was torn between both of those idea's Jennifer. I've seen that Crows can bring gifts in order to be fed, but never doves before. I like that idea though.
DeleteSTUNNING picture!
ReplyDeleteAww thanks Minnemie, I was really pleased that I managed to capture it just in time before he dropped the leaf and then flew off.
DeleteJust perfect!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thanks Jan, have a great weekend and thank for visiting
DeleteMarvelous shot.

DeleteSuch a beautiful and calming photo.
ReplyDeleteI love to have the doves visit us everyday, but I've never had a gift before. I was just so pleased I managed to capture the moment.
DeleteWhat a beautiful shot of the dove with a twig in its beak. How amazing that you managed to capture it :-)
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say I was clever in capturing the image, but really I was so lucky that he landed and my camera was near to hand. So happy that I managed to capture the moment, because it was over within seconds after getting the shot.
DeleteWhat a beautiful photo. This is stunning x
