Dove of Peace

I hope you'll forgive me for posting another photo of my visiting doves this week, but I just couldn't resist this one.
As usual the doves arrived on to my decking and then I noticed one had brought me a gift.
We are in troubled times at the moment so it was beautiful to see this offering of peace.
I don't think many words are needed to accompany this shot except to say I am linking up with Photalife once again and Image-in-ing.blogspot.co.uk

    1. They come onto the decking to let me know that they've arrived and are ready for their breakfast...but this was the first time I've seen this. Obviously nesting potential. I'm wondering where they might build one. I couldn't believe when he turned and looked right at me. Thankfully the camera was right on hand!

    1. These doves are my daily visitors, but I have no idea where they come from. We've had up to seven at once, but at the moment we've only got two. I feel very privileged to have them come to our garden.

    1. Exactly Sally, I'm always a little nervous seeing them flying in or out across the farmlands. They even do a fly by every now and then circling the house to stretch their wings. They stand out so much I just hope that the hawks aren't looking!

    1. I was torn between both of those idea's Jennifer. I've seen that Crows can bring gifts in order to be fed, but never doves before. I like that idea though.
