Well here we are once again...Friday.
It's been yet another sad week, having to say goodbye to Zac, but he was a fun loving little chap, so we're going to have a little fun today.
I've decided to have a 'giveaway' but first for those who wanted to see the completed watercolour painting of Muffin from last week.
Muffin...Pup and Pooch.
I'm still not sure if it's actually finished and I must admit I learnt so much during the painting of this one. I think you might be able to see...from the puppy to the pooch... there's quite a difference.
I'm carrying on with my ink drawing of the Tiger, but I didn't want to post unfinished work...yet again. I'll hopefully finish it and let you see the outcome next week.
On to the fun stuff... THE GIVEAWAY
You may or may not know that there's a giraffe named April, who is about to give birth in a Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, New York any day now, and she has a live webcam on her to capture every moment.
I painted a Mother and Baby whilst I have been watching the live footage and I've decided that if you would like to enter the giveaway for an A5 print, then please press following button in my sidebar, and leave a comment at the bottom of this post.
If you'd like to enter the prize draw through Facebook, then once again press like and leave a message there. I hope to have that post up soon.
I hope to have Muffin draw the lucky winner, as she did on my last giveaway.
Here's a clip if you'd like to see that. Click here
(Oh my... doesn't she look cute, so young and fluffy too)
All names entered into the draw will go into a 'hat' (or spread over the floor for Muffin to walk over... with her taped paw, and hopefully one name will stick to her paw)
The draw will close as soon as April has her baby, so hurry and enter...she's looking like she could produce at any minute.
I shall be linking up with the Paint Party Friday today, to carry on having fun.
Have a great day and thanks for visiting.
Good Luck to all who are entering the draw.
Love your sweet doggies. Happy PPF, Hugs, Valerie

what a generous giveaway-thank you! Love your brilliant piece depicting Muffin as a young pup and now. Happy PPF and happy weekend too!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda... I thought a giveaway would be fun.
DeleteWe are still waiting for April to produce her baby, so there's time for anyone to enter into the draw. Your names been entered.
Good luck and happy PPF to you.
Great art work and I'm loving the blog so far! Can't wait to see Muffy select a winner.
ReplyDeleteThe last time Muffin 'helped' with the giveaway we had to have a few takes because she kept walking around the names. Hopefully, we'll be able to get a winner soon if only April would produce her new baby.
DeleteYour name is in...good luck!
Both pieces are quite lovely.
ReplyDeleteAww thank you Tammie,
DeleteIt's lovely to hear positive feedback for my art.
Have a great week :D
Adorable cuddling giraffes! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt's my pleasure Renee... thank you for visiting :D
DeleteAdorable cuddling giraffes! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNow Renee, seeing your comment here twice doesn't mean your name will go in twice (hehe) ;D
DeleteInternet issues again. I push publish and nothing happens, so I push publish again and then it works twice!! Grr :)
DeleteIt drives us all mad at times...don't worry Renee I'm just thrilled you stopped by my place and left a comment :D
DeleteHa ha Neesie - I remember the doggy draw last time, what a hoot! I can't believe you're going to do this again, such fun but it could be harder than giving birth to a giraffelet! Get your chicken treats ready!!!
ReplyDeleteBrill drawings again as usual :)
Wren x
It was fun wasn't it...although that wasn't the first take! We had to have a few practice runs because she kept walking around the names!
DeleteHopefully this draw will go smoothly, but first we have to wait for April to have her baby!
She seems very happy and in no hurry.
Thanks for visiting once again...I'll be across to see you soon :D
Muffy's portrait painting turned out so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI have been watching April since you mentioned her. She's looking more uncomfortable all the time--LOL! Soon! Soon! Love your painting--perfect for celebrating the new baby when it arrives. :)
Thanks Rita, I'm glad that you've been watching April, but I had no idea when I first mentioned her that she would go so long without giving birth. She seems quite content and happy...certainly not in any hurry.
DeleteI believe that you haven't been very well lately. I'll pop across to visit you as soon as I can. Take care
Awe two sides of Muffy are so cute!! Love her adorable face!! You are so talented...White must be so hard to paint with to get it that perfect! Love the little tongue sticking out!! These are such beautiful paintings. I wondered if the April camera was a hoax because it's been happening soooo long.. We shall see...still you made it all seem right by capturing what might be her spawn so perfectly!
ReplyDeleteHugs Giggles
She's been the centre of our attention these last few weeks Giggles. Constantly trying to get her to eat still. This morning a freshly roasted chicken breast has touch the spot and she's eaten two small portions. Currently, lying in her bed resting her chin on the edge surveying all around her. Medicines will follow shortly.
DeleteHuge chunks of my day just disappear, but as long as we help and restore her health...that's all that matters.
April's still keeping us waiting. In fact, she seems quite content and in no rush to give birth!
Hugs back to you...have a great day :D
Lovely artwork ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thanks Jan...I hope you're having a great week.
DeleteAll the best to you too
Even though Zac will be in your heart forever, it is so nice that you were able to draw and paint this lovely piece.

ReplyDeleteHi there Margaret, thanks for stopping by and leaving a lovely comment. I'll be sure to add your name into the giveaway draw. Good luck ;D
DeleteYes, please.
ReplyDeleteIf I am fortunate enough to be the name picked, this would be a greatly honored addition to my collection of giraffe art.
As a child from about the age of 6, I always spent most of my time at the zoo watching the giraffes.
They are so graceful and mesmerizing to watch. April has been on my computer screen since Feb 22nd.
My collection of giraffe art and figurines had to downsized last year. I now have just one large bookcase and a couple of giraffe prints left. My grandchildren were given all the rest and so the love of giraffes continues.
Thank you for the opportunity enter your giveaway,
Donna Wallis
