    1. It is indeed Kriss,
My Mum made this dress for my first Communion and I thought it was divine.
It was all lacy with lots of layered petticoats.
Happy Sunday to you... enjoy and thanks for visiting

  2. lovely photo, you? I remember the days when little girls were dressed up in party dresses that didn't have any branding on them!

    1. Yes it is me at the age of about 7 or 8 years old.
This dress was made by my Mum and I felt like a fairy princess in it.
I'm now wondering where it might be because there's no way I would have thrown it out.
Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping by to leave a comment

    1. When I look back at some of our family old photographs both my sister and I wore so many clothes that my mum made for us.
She also knitted cardigans too and we always looked well presented... thanks to her skills!
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by ;D

  7. well weren't you just the cutie! I'm betting your parents had the same experience my grand parents did. People used to come up to them and wax poetic about just how cute their little girl was. Kinda nice to be pretty, isn't it? :o)
    Hugs my friend.

    1. Aww now stop it Jenn... I'm beginning to regret posting it now. (hehe)
I'm not sure about that but I was very shy and would go bright red if anyone talked to me hiding behind my mum's skirts when I was small.
I'm obviously over all of that now ;D
Hugs back to you (and your Mum)
      Have a great week xoxo

  8. I have a similar photo of my First Communion, I had this netted veil on my shoulders.

    1. Oh yes Christine, I had a veil too but I don't know where that's gone. I think because I'd just had my hair curled I didn't have it on until the ceremony.
Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment.
      Have a fun packed week

I really wish I'd have kept the dress but I can't remember what happened to it.
I'm hoping it was passed on to some other little girl for her to feel like a princess too.
      I hope you're having a great week
