What's on Your Workdesk ~ WOYWW 164

Morning everyone....especially my fellow WOYWWer's....it's Wednesday yet again...
so it's time for show and tell for lots of creative crafters/artists and like minded people.
If you're new to the term WOYWW or just here for the first time and wonder what on earth I'm talking about....then take a look at Julia's blog at Stamping Ground

But firstly today I have a confession....I don't actually do all the art work....here's the real artist!

(Yep I'm still on the dining room table and spreading...see the cabinet behind? Roll on spring and I can get back into the studio)

I just couldn't resist....(LOL) ;D
I know (and she knows) she shouldn't be up at the dining room table...and as you can see by her expression and her ears being down that she wasn't impressed that there wasn't any food up there.
I'm making my entry super short this week...but I'll be sure to have lots of finished work for you next week. Promise!
I'd just like to thank everyone who visited my place during last week and I'm sorry if I didn't get to you.
I'll try to do better this week. :D
Have fun desk hopping everyone!

    1. You are right Sarah...it is indeed the Sydney Opera House...well spotted ;D
Because I haven't any finished work to show this week just everything in the doing stages, I thought I'd have a little laugh with Mufftypup.
She's always gruffing around my feet in the afternoons...so I included her ^..^

Thanks for being so quick to reply...I've only just posted and here you are! Great to see you as usual.
      Have a wonderful Wednesday xox

    1. I wish you could too Laurie...in fact I think the mini shih tzu breed would be perfect for you and Garry ;D

They are so attached to people, don't need too much walking (although I clock up about 5K every morning with my little toot) and they give so much love it's untrue, plus they are quite adapted to apartment living, just so long as they do get to go outside regularly.

Perfect! Just let me know when you get one ^..^ xoxo

  3. What a clever dog! certainly can draw VERY well!! hehehe...we had a cat like that!! Loved 'helping' me craft! But Jinx our lodger cat likes to sit on me to stop me working but has no interest in crafing at all.

If she's out of the room and she thinks somethings going on without her crucial imput...she dashes in to get involved!
I think the little disgruntle gruffs she gives in the afternoon indicates she's not happy when I'm working. Shame!
Still no numbers (shock) Julia must be have a nice 40 winks ;D

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Who me???? Oh you mean her!
Oh that's such a shame to hear your wee man is frightened. Muffy would be good therapy as she's so gentle and adores attention. You can literally do anything to her. She sits in your arms or on your knee just like a baby. He might not connect her with being a dog ^..^ and therefore not be so scared.
She visits a local Daycare Facility here and all the residents love her as she just sits on their knees whilst they make a fuss and reminisce about the time they had a dog.
I wonder where the phobia came from. Hopefully he'll have good experiences that will take those fears away.
I hope to get to some art today but WOYWW takes such a time to answer everyone and then to go visiting. I've got three pieces of work to complete. I think I might need to stay awake tonight to finish them. ;D

My two boys both have Shih-Tzu in them...Jack is a Jack Russell/Shih-Tzu cross while Cody is a Shih-Tzu/Maltese/Chihuahua cross although you wouldn't suspect Chihuahua to look at him. lol I think Muffin was up at the table admiring all your beautiful art and perhaps a little jealous of what draws your attention away from her. ;) Btw, I spotted the Sydney Opera House immediately AFTER being besotted by Muffin. :)))

I'm so happy that you like her because she is special! She has a great temperament too. There are lots of Shih-Tzu mixes here but I've only met two other pure breeds since being here. Hence we couldn't let her have a litter which is something I wanted to do...she was getting a little old for being a first time Mum by the time we came and settled here, plus we couldn't find a mini Shih-Tzu suitable to her demands!!! She had quite a list ;D
You're last sentence really hits the nail on the head Serena...she only lets me work for so long before she lets me know she's ready to play, eat or just in need of a cuddle or attention.
The Opera House hopefully will appear completed soon :D

Thanks for such a wonderful comment. I'm still not as confident as I should be having not done any art for over 12 years but I hope to shed some of my niggles soon.
Thanks for popping over to my place ~ it's always great to see you.

  46. Hey Neesie, it's finally Friday here too! ;) Sorry I'm running terribly late on return visits this week...it was finals week, but now it's over! These were the last classes for my Bachelors degree, since I was ONE hour short in spring! Anyways, thanks for stopping by my desk...I just love all the House Mouse stamps, wish they would put out a cling set so I could afford to have more than one! lol Your pooch is just adorable and I love the landmark zentangle...will you leave the sail looking things white? They give the eye a place to rest and make a nice balance...imho. ;)

    1. Phewph Deeyll you must be thrilled finals week is over...life can begin again eh? Good luck with the results!

I like to leave some of my design white which isn't truly zentangling but I just do what I feel is right and yes I will be leaving the roof tiles as they are ;D

Thanks for stopping over ~ I really appreciate you must have so much to catch up on and it's great to get your opinion.
Have a wonderful weekend ~ enjoy and do what you feel because I'm sure you deserve it! :D

  48. What a sweetie pie!
Now I saw that you've been in Australia for 22 years--but England is still home. I feel the same way about North Dakota. I may live here, but I am a Minnesotan and always will be. The difference is that I only traveled across a river to get over here--LOL! ;)
    Have a wonderful weekend! :)

    1. I've crossed many rivers in my 23 years of being an expat Rita...in fact oceans too.
I am a Brit and all my family are at home in Cheshire (UK) wondering when my wandering will come to an end.
We arrived here in January 2009.
I think Melbourne will be our last port of call before heading home...but I have to say it's been the best location we've been to and I'll be sorry to leave...but then home is pulling on my heart strings ;D
I hope your weekend is fantastic and not a scorcher! Hopefully a cool breeze will come your way :D
