The Summer of Colour 4 entry (Coral, Teal and White)

Here's a quick post just to let you see my Summer of Colour 4 wk 2 (SOC4)  entry as mentioned yesterday on the Frivolous Friday post.
The criteria for the entry was to use Coral, Teal with a swish of white.
I immediately thought of the sea.
I must admit that I had a little difficulty with using new ink, acrylic paint plus different paintbrushes and new nibs...so it's been a little challenging to say the least.
But then that's what it's about isn't it?
To stretch and grow hopefully?
I'm not liking the fact that the colours don't really show up as the original but hey ho...there you go!
Right I'm away now to enjoy a Saturday night...whoohoo.
I hope you are too
Have fun and I'll chat again soon

    1. Aww thanks Laurie,
At this stage I'm just happy that I managed to paint at all. It all feels a little strange in the art room plus I'm using different materials too. All very unsettling but hopefully I'll get there.
I dread the thought of jelly fish floating around near me. I've lived and swam in lots of locations where they have been prevalent and I've been very jittery. Doing versions of doggy paddling to get out of their way asap. Not attractive at all.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for popping by.
I hope to visit you soon...I've missed so much lately
      xoxo

  2. Oh wow Neesie, I love your underwater scene. The wee school of fish is so sweet and the jelly fish so real. I was looking over a pier in Wales a few years ago and there were hundreds of the buggas I couldn't believe it! )I'm so grateful we don't have those teeny tiny deadly ones that can kill!) Your waves and coral are all gorgeous. You've rocked those new supplies!! :D x

    1. It was a little scary...but I felt the fear and did it anyway. Not the jellyfish swim...using my new art materials ;)
I'd have felt so much happier with just a piece of white paper and a black ink pen. Still it's good to step out of your comfort zone eh?
Have a great Sunday and I'll chat again soon xoxo
