My Sunday Photo

Whist I was tidying the herbaceous borders today I came across this little wee beastie. I wondered if he might be the last bee of the summer to visit my garden... but then I noticed five others feasting on the sedums.
As usual I'm linking up with Darren's Onedad3girls blog.

    1. Yes John, he was a little flighty but I think he needed to fill up more than be bothered about me, so I was able to capture him in the end.
It was my pleasure to share with all the Sunday photo gang.

    1. I thought ours might have gone too Tracey but then this little chap came to join me whilst I was weeding. Then five others came. It may be because we've had a great sunny warm week this week. It's been better than much of our summer!

    1. I think he may have had more important things on his mind Louise... like stocking up and making sure he had enough to keep him buzzing.
I was pleased that I managed to capture the moment. I'll miss these visitors over the next few months.

    1. The sedums are a late bloomer but they're a welcome splash of colour when everything else is drying back. Obviously the bees appreciate their arrival too. By the time I got this shot, I had five others buzzing around too.
And I thought mine might have been the last one of summer... wrong!

    1. Yes he is cute isn't he Sherry,
I love the sedums because they make an appearance very late in the season, which adds new colour when almost everything else is coming to the end.

    1. Hehe thanks Wren,
Yep, the day was full as usual. You listed them all except the addition of dog walk, dog bathing, sketching the odd design. I'm afraid you're a little late for Sunday roast now (due to my tardiness and replying late to your comment) but there was the usual Sunday lunch on the go. There would be an outcry if I didn't.
      Have a wonderful week ahead.

Maybe they're all here because I have to admit this weeks weather has been the best we've seen all summer. I'm hoping (as probably the bees are) is that it continues.

    1. Thanks Jade, but he sort of found me. I was busy in the borders when he kept flying into my eye line.
My hubby knows all about the wasps. He unbeknownst to him disturbed a wasp nest in our compost corner. They didn't like it and chased him around the field much to my son's amusement. He only commented last night that the strings still bother and itch him!

I'm happy with the result for now, but I'll probably continue to capture them. I'll miss them in the coming months ahead.
