It's been a rather strange week.
Celebrations for our 37th Wedding Anniversary whilst having the uncertainty of what will happen in the coming months with the results from the EU Referendum.
Sometimes it's good to just sit still... take a deep breath and appreciate what you have.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for visiting my place.
Congratulations, that's such a long time and well worth a good toast.
ReplyDeleteThat's what we thought Fiona,

ReplyDeleteThank you Jayne, we had a lovely time.
DeleteHappy anniversary to you both. Looks like a really lovely way t celebrate. As for the referendum, what a horrible mess. I am very sad for my country right now
ReplyDeleteMollyxxx
It was lovely Molly, especially as it was midweek and we planned to celebrate at the weekend.
DeleteI think there are a lot of people reeling around the country right now. It just keeps surprising us all... and is very unsettling.
Sometimes it's just the time to sit back and enjoy a glass or two of champagne!!! You're experiencing craziness with Brexit...and here in the US we're experiencing one of the weirdest Presidential campaigns ever! Love your champagne pic and am toasting you with my cup of coffee!!!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly seemed like the right time to us. It was a crazy week and the champagne with a sunset was a nice way to end the day.
DeleteThank you for toasting us and I really hope your elections work out for the best ... whatever that might be.
Would certainly like to sit down and have some champagne with you. Happy anniversary. From what little I know about the EU and how it works - I think I would take pleasure leaving it. Great Britain has been "Great" for a very long time and I have all the confidence in the world that it will stay Great.
ReplyDeleteAs for the US -- I think we are going down the tubes. It seems like we could learn just from watching Greece. As you know, I love the UK and would live in England or Scotland in a heartbeat. Denise, I love the home you all have made in Scotland - seems like a little bit of heaven to me.
Sandy xx
That bottle has unfortunately finished long ago Sandy, but I could pop another into the fridge if you like?
DeleteI wish I had your faith that we are going to be 'Great'. It's a very nervy time. We're all watching your campaigns too. What is the world coming too?
Thankfully I adore my little place here and I can shut it all out for short periods of time anyway. If only I could log in my own weather, then it would be perfect!
