Spot The Wildlife

As I enjoyed my morning cuppa whilst gazing out of the window, I became aware of one of our neighbours. Someone else was enjoying the beautiful warm morning sunshine.
I'm not sure you'll immediately see the subject of My Sunday Photo in this photograph below, as he was quite a distance... even for my zoom lens.
Right in the centre of the shot is Mr Fox!
His winter coat is quite spectacular and he's a handsome, healthy looking chap.
He's obviously a very good hunter by the look of his physique... he's certainly not managing on scraps by the look of him.
Now I'm not saying that this particular fox is the one that nearly took our Annie away, as I have seen two foxes playing in the field, but I certainly hope this one keeps his distance... even if it means My Sunday Photo has to suffer.
I'd much rather that than losing one of my chooks!

My elderly neighbour had mentioned that she'd got some more chickens (about 12 in total) but 'someone' had been taking them? I didn't have the heart to tell her that it probably wasn't a 'someone'... more a 'something'!

I have cropped the photo so that it'll make it easier to see him.
He certainly knew I was taking his picture as he looked directly at me.
The click of the camera travelled right across the field, blowing my cover!
I managed to take a few shots where he had his eyes closed, enjoying the rays.
It was the perfect perch for him... on the raised grassy mound.
It enabled him to enjoy the sun, but also to see all around.
Well it was perfect until a dog came mooching along...then Mr Fox slunk away into the ferns and that was the last I saw of him for the rest of the day.

My Sunday Photo...Fields of Gold

We are surrounded by fields of gold at the moment and I just can't get Sting's song out of my head.
But my favourite version is by Eva Cassidy.

As usual I'm linking up with My Sunday Photo over at Photalife

My Sunday Photo... Morning Glory

When I opened my eye (yes only one as I wasn't sure what time it was) the colour of the landscape caught my attention and I immediately had to get up to find my camera.
This is the view from my bedroom and I was going to call it
'Morning Ewe' instead of  'Morning View'!
I know... that's a terrible joke and not even worthy of a bad Dad joke status.
In fact, my hubby said he'd have been proud of that joke, which tells me just how bad it is.
You can see the reflection of the curtains and the light isn't showing up very well... but in my own defence I was hardly awake.
I then took this second photo as the sun rose higher.
There are still quite a few leaves left on the trees so there's plenty of colour especially when the low sunlight hit them.

The next morning ritual is breakfast and even though I cook eggs I never actually eat them myself.
This was my hubby's breakfast.
Poached eggs on toasted sourdough bread, with avocado and masses of freshly cracked black pepper.
My son's breakfast is the same only easy on the pepper.
Now back to the Christmas posts and preparations.
I'm linking up once again with My Sunday Photo
Have a great Sunday

My Sunday Sunset Photo and a little Pokemon

I know you have seen many of my sunset photographs from this particular spot but sometimes I just have to capture them.
Each one seems so special and I want to make sure that I appreciate them.
What a perfect way to end a day.
As usual I'm linking up once more with Photoalife
Why not pop over and see lots of other great photography.

Just before I go I thought I'd share Muffin's latest Instagram photo with you.
Who needs Pokémon when you have a Pooch!
Yes I know the ball has seen better days, but she's had it since Day 1 and loves it.
She has other newer balls and lots of toys, but 'Wilson' has had too many adventures with her to just be discarded.
(Don't worry I check it regularly to see that it's still safe)
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by my place.
Hope to see you again soon.

My view on 1st August 2013

Hello everyone...today I'm going to let the photo below speak for itself...
I promised I'd take a photo each month to show the changes of the view from the rear of the house.
It could be like watching paint dry, but I'm hoping that the weather, seasons plus the farmland crops will show just how changeable the landscape can be.
So here's the 1st August entry...after most of the day being wrapped in a cloud which was so low we couldn't even see the other side of the field...it has finally lifted to reveal the blue sky above.
It's been warm, wet and sunny over the last month so the grass has grown quite lush.
The farmer has also been busy.

Currently I'm busy editing my castle wedding, so hopefully I'll be able to post that tomorrow. I was so near to posting it this afternoon, but suddenly it went whoosh...and disappeared.
I can tell you the air was blue never mind the sky!!!

So what do you have for your view today?
I hope you have enjoyed both the view and the day.
