It's quite a picturesque train journey traveling along the North East coast of Scotland Gemma, I still find train journeys a novelty after over 24 years flying around the globe. I remember my first trip on the train... I kept looking for my seat belt and was so surprised that we kept stopping at every station instead of just going straight to my destination. (what a numpty!) Enjoy your Sunday and thanks for stopping at my station ;D
Do you know this part of the world then? Or have just enjoyed train travel? Glad you like the photo....and for stopping by Enjoy your Sunday ~ have fun ;D
I'm not sure about the tracks John but have a feeling you might be right. This picture was taken when I travelled down from Aberdeen to Glasgow. It shows the Bay of Montrose (or part of it) It is the main line up to Aberdeen and is very picturesque. Have a great day and I hope you enjoy My Sunday Photo ;D
Here in Aberdeenshire we've had about four days of beautiful crisp sunny weather Louise and thankfully I managed to capture this scene before I reached a little further down the line where clouds and rain lurked! Have a lovely Sunday... enjoy and thanks for visiting my place
I took a few whilst passing this bay Zena... (even with fellow passengers watching on) as it's a lovely spot. I wanted to capture nearer the bank where a tiny fishing boat was stranded on the sandbank but unfortunately an iron post got in the way whilst we zipped past! The shot that got away... maybe next time? Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment. I hope you have a lovely Sunday
They do but I always wonder how I can be so tired when travelling? I was so torn between reading my book or just sitting watching the sights whiz by. East Coast of Scotland has a very scenic route following the coast for most of the way. Have a great Sunday and thanks for visiting once again
The idea can be very romantic but it depends on the amount of people sharing the experience with you... the commuter train at rush hour is a little too crowded for me. Thankfully I was able to travel off peak this time and enjoy the scenes passing my window. Have a super Sunday and thanks for leaving a comment once again.
It was a great day until I reached Glasgow... then unfortunately the clouds were waiting. (The east coast of Scotland can be a lot drier than the west coast). Have a great day visiting everyone... and thanks for visiting my place.
Aww thanks Sherry... I wasn't sure about posting this photo for my Sunday photo but by everyone's kind comments I think it'll do ;D Enjoy your Sunday and visits
It had been an incredible good few days... weather wise Darren so perfect to capture this shot. Unfortunately we headed into cloud and rain a little further down the track. Thanks for hosting such a fun link every week. It's great to see everyone's photos. Have a great Sunday... enjoy!
I was reading a book called 'The Girl on the Train' which made the journey all the more interesting. The weather was great and had been for about four days but unfortunately it's changed. We now have fog and mizzle! I'm glad that I was able to capture the moment Emma, Thanks for your comment and visit. Have a super Sunday
Even a quick trip when it's on a train evokes thoughts and daydreams of far away adventures. Your lovely pic only adds to that feeling with its beautiful horizon and watery foreground. Thanks for the quick mental trip, Neesie. I really now must get busy with today's chores....Ahh but to linger a moment looking off...........
Hope I'm not disturbing your daydream or chores for that matter Nan, Lovely to see you once again. The train trip was enjoyable with lots to see along the way and then reading a new book...'The Girl on the Train' just added to it. I'm hopefully getting my laptop back tomorrow... so normal service will be resumed soon. In the meantime have a wonderful Sunday and leave those chores today. Enjoy yourself instead ;D xoxo
I suppose if it was your daily commute you might get so used to it, that it loses it's impact Lauren, So many people just log in whilst travelling instead of looking out!
I was on my way to Glasgow... and this was taken as we approached Montrose. There's some stunning scenery on this route and I now wish I'd taken more photos. Maybe next time ;)
It was Kim... I wish I'd have kept clicking away but I was aware of all my fellow passengers staring at me! Hope you've had a great weekend and ready to start a whole new week of fun ;)
I'm glad you noticed that Molly because I tried so hard not to get too much reflection. It would have shown all my follow travellers watching me :/ Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. It's appreciated. Have a great week
Wow that looks a fantastic train ride, you're so right about most people logging in and not looking out! Great photo Neesie Wanna make it 'The two girls on the train'? I'm all booked - Europe here I come! Wren x
