My Sunday Photo... Bursting Blossoms

My Sunday photo sums up the month of May to me... even though as I look out of the window we're enshouded with cloud and drizzle.
I had thought I might have been able to post photographs of the magnificent fox that has been prowling around the nearby field, or the Mallard ducks that landed on the impromptu lake that has formed in the centre of our back field after so much rain during last week. Or the deer that have been elegantly leaping and running in what appears to be slow motion near to our house.
But alas, I didn't manage to get any decent shots of them... but thankfully I did manage to watch and appreciate their visit.
As the garden bursts into life and there's a danger of it running away without me...
(I know realise that I'm a fair weather gardener)
I'll let you see some of the new arrivals that have surprised me.
One minute they are just leaves, then you turn your back for a minute and 'POP'
 ... the blooms burst!
(Can you believe that this one is a tulip!)
Just one more thing before I go...
If you are celebrating Mother's Day today as I know Australia, America and Canada are...
then I hope you have a great day with your loved ones.

    1. She's very fickle May... whomever gives her chicken is her bestest friend (for about 2 minutes) ^..^
Lovely to have you visit my garden. I'm just going out whilst the sun's shining but I would like to head to the art studio to paint... (sigh)... life's tough decisions eh?
      Enjoy your week

    1. Oh me too. They are just so delightful from their pretty flowers to the pink petal fall.
They're always such a delightful sight and a good indication that (hopefully) the winter weather is behind us.
Thanks for stopping by... enjoy your Sunday

    1. Thanks Kim.... there's lots appearing in the garden. Surprising me at the moment because some I planted last autumn and had forgotten. Now I just need warmer temperatures so that I can sit out and enjoy them.
      Have a great week

    1. Oh... well I'll have to hope mine don't come nearer to the house and find out I'd got quite a collection of Hostas! At the moment they are content to graze in and near the woods edge.
Have a great week whatever you plan... hopefully full of creativity.

  5. Stunning blooms Denise! I hope your weather improved as the day wore on. It did here. Absolutely chucking it this morning, then by lunchtime it was lovely, and even the breeze warmed up too. Fine for the garden birds to come down and check out the new feed and the boy to get out on his bike. Have a lovely evening :o) xx

    1. Hmm... I was with you until the warming up bit... I think I'm still waiting for that!
It's not too bad this morning but still afa fresh. That breeze needs to skiddaddle somewhere else. We've had it long enough now but there again I suppose it's keeping the rain away.
I'm hoping to head out into the garden today but only if it warms up a little more.
Maybe one day soon it'll be warm enough for me to sit out and enjoy the garden instead of just working in it? Who knows?
Well another week starts so I wish you a great week and no doubt we'll natter again soon.

    1. I just can't get over these tulips Sherry, but alas the blue sky is covered by grey heavy clouds today.
Apologies for my late reply but I've been a headless chicken running here there and everywhere this week.
I hope your week has been calmer and full of creativity.

    1. It is indeed Rita, have you ever seen a tulip like it?
I know I haven't. I've got lots of the usual one but these multi-petal ones are stunning.
If you look into my sidebar you should see some more in my instagram link.
I know you don't use instagram but you can have a peep there.
I no longer have my Mum or Dad around and I wish I could have some time back with them so I could appreciate them even more than I did.
I'm so happy that you still have your Mum... I know you'll treasure every moment with her.
Have a wonderful week too. I'll come to visit as soon as I can ;D

    1. I think that's the majority's vote... there's something about blossom and blue sky that just shouts spring/summers here.
We just have to hope the wind doesn't carry it away too soon.
Thanks for popping by my garden... have fun and I wish you a fantastic creative week ahead.
