We haven't had as much sun as the rest of the country over the last few weeks, so it's a struggle to open but I think it might make it any minute now. (Pop!)
That looks Iike it will be spectacular when it does fully open! As for the flower that I posted a photo of, well, I was hoping that someone else might know what it is :)
Yep my fingers are tightly crossed Cathy, there's no sun yet again so it's a very slow process. I just hope it makes it before autumn! Have a wonderful weekend
It's an Agapanthus Sarah, They are like a ball of blue or white when they open. I'll try to remember to post a photo of it when it's fully open. I say when hopefully because yet again there's no sun here so it's a long slow process. I hope you sun's shining your way this Sunday... enjoy!
Aww thanks Sherry... but I didn't have much to do with it. I just planted it and then let Mother Nature take over. I've got lots more like it in the border. Have a great Sunday whatever you are doing... enjoy!
I'm hoping so Darren... along with the others all standing tall in my border. I love to try to find something interesting for your link so thanks yet again for hosting such a fun linky. Have an enjoyable Sunday too ;D
Now that's where it can all go wrong Nan, You're assuming it will open. We are experiencing an extremely shy sun this summer so it could take some time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Have a wonderful Sunday
I love them Kim because they are pretty, a great colour and stand so tall in the border but mainly because they remind me of my time in Melbourne. If you take a second to look in my header you'll see them in the garden there. They come in blue and white. Enjoy your Sunday.
Welcome back Laurie, Thank you for your lovely comments about my painting. It's all down to you and Tracey... you initially inspired me to take up my painting brush after years of neglect. I'll be forever grateful to you. It's quite a challenge to play catch up... I'm constantly playing that game! Have fun and I'll pop over to see you soon xoxo
Neesie, this is beautiful. It looks hand painted. I have never seen this flower and I love it's construction. I find beauty in the before, the bloom and the after. Plants are a wonder.
I adore plants Nikki, In fact I seem to be getting worse as I get older... but I don't think that's a bad thing is it? The flower is an Agapanthus and they come in white and blue. We had lot's growing in our garden in Melbourne... so I'm happy that they'll grow here in Scotland although not as big, it has to be said.
Today's sun hopefully will help to open it Diane, We had lots of them in our Melbourne garden so it's great to have them here although they're not as large as there... but I'll not complain. I'm surprised they manage at all. Thank for your visit. Hugs backatcha ;D
Unfortunately I'm still waiting for them to bloom... and it might take some time with the weather here lately. When it happens I'll be sure to let you see. They are like a firework... an explosion of colour. Have a great week
I get so excited to see you here and love to read your thoughts and comments. I always try to answer each one personally (I think it's only polite) ...♥...I truly appreciate your precious time here so thank you ...♥...
So pretty, it looks like it is all about to burst open
