I think we must have had every option on the weather front during this last week or so.
Thankfully there has been little glitches in the icy rain and snow flurries to be able to get outside and enjoy a good brisk walk.
My daughter is staying with us this weekend, so she took this photo of Mum and Muffin.
As usual Muffy had come across an interesting smell that had to be investigated... so as usual we were lagging behind.
It never ceases to amaze me when you notice little changes in nature that indicate it's time to say goodbye to one season and welcome another.
I'll not be too sad to see winter go... and oh boy will I gladly welcome spring!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
Beautiful photo, love that soft winter sun! I enjoy winter, but this week I've started seeing signs of spring and I'm excited! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThere was even a little warmth in the sun today Lauren, although we have now plummeted to -4 degrees!
DeleteHave a great weekend too and thanks for popping by my place.
You're right, this shot has at least three seasons in it - all that's missing is the snow! Beautiful clouds in this shot.
ReplyDelete#SundayPhoto x
Since our walk this morning we've had snow flurries, so I think that's the jackpot! We've had every kind of weather I can think of this week.
DeleteEnjoy your Sunday
That's certainly a more welcoming sight than what we've had here in recent days. Let's hope it heralds the onset of spring!
ReplyDeleteWell we're -4 tonight so it doesn't look like spring is here just yet. But I'd rather days that are clear, bright and dry.
DeleteHave a great Sunday.
Looks like a lovely place for a walk - I love seeing those signs of spring everywhere too! :-)
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of signs out there Louise... I've even got daffodils and tulip leaves sprouting up everywhere.
DeleteIt would just be nice to have a little more warmth.
Enjoy your weekend
I think we are all looking forward to Spring now. It seems to be peaking it's head around the corner in this photo :) #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteI think you're right Victoria, it's time we said goodbye to winter.
DeleteI did actually feel a little warmth in the sun when we were out of the path of the biting north wind!
Enjoy your Sunday... have fun!
Such a beautiful sky! Spring looks like it's on it's way, although we are forecast snow up here in Northumberland tonight. lol x
ReplyDeleteI think we are in for a little snow for tonight and tomorrow too Kim. We're currently -4 degrees so it looks like there's every chance we'll see it. I don't mind as long as it doesn't hang around too long.
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend with or without snow!
Gorgeous, one of those photos that makes me want to step in and follow the road :)
ReplyDeleteWe headed into the wood after this lane. Muffy doesn't seem to understand the concept of a road is for fast moving big heavy metal objects that can seriously hurt her. She just wonders along the lane like she owns it!
DeleteEnjoy your weekend
With you all the way, I'm done with winter and sliding around the farm, though this is a lovely photo #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteWe headed into the wood after this lane and it was rather muddy there.
DeleteIt was rather chilly, but so good to get outdoors and appreciate the clean crisp air. We were all well wrapped up!
Have a super Sunday
A lovely photo Neesie, isn't it just fab to get outdoors and enjoy the countryside and fresh air x
ReplyDeleteIt always works it's magic Cathy, even when I think I don't want to go... by the time I return home I have a completely different outlook on things.
DeleteSuch a beautiful shot! Love to get out in the countryside :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Claire,
DeleteI didn't realise my daughter was taking the photo initially. It sums up just what the weather is like here at the moment.
You certainly need to wrap up warmly to venture out.
What a beautiful view, I love the detail in the clouds.
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
It's a great place to walk Darren, and who doesn't like clouds?
DeleteI know I do... but it would be nice if that sunlight had a little more warmth to it.
Thanks for hosting once again. Enjoy your Sunday
Gorgeous photo, it's great to get outdoors isn't it. I'm hoping the better weather will come in soon so we can get out more as a family :)
ReplyDelete#MySundayPhoto
It certainly is great. Even if I'm not really wanting to go... by the time I return I feel completely different. Nature works incredible magic and there's always something to see.
DeleteSo far today we've had snow flurries and sunshine alternatively. There's never a dull moment.
Such a very lovely photo ... makes me want to stroll with you! Happy Valentines day. hugs, Donna
ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome Donna although I'd advise to dress up warmly. The temperature dropped last night to minus 4 degrees!
DeleteHappy Valentine's Day to you too (it appears to be nothing special in this house!) Ho hum....
We had a flurry of snow yesterday too. I'm so glad that the sun is coming out more and more!
ReplyDeleteWell we're having a real mixed bag today Tas,
DeleteSnow and then sunshine alternatively. It all seems very confused.
Oh I hate winter and am really looking forward to spring! #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteI don't particularly mind winter as long as we get a good summer. Last year wasn't the best... it was a very wet one, so I feel I'm really ready for some good weather.
DeleteLooking forward to Spring here too :)
ReplyDeleteI think everyone is this year Lisa... let's just hope it comes soon.
DeleteEnjoy your Sunday
Oh yes, little hints and changes here too. Like the sun peeking out earlier (when the clouds allow). Another few weeks and we'll be setting the clocks forward. Ugh! The girls will be wanting breakfast before 6 am! :0 Lovely pic and a pretty day for a stroll. Although it does looks very crisp (cold) still. Have a wonderful week Neesie. Warm hugs
ReplyDeleteWe've had quite a mixture today with both sun and snow!
DeleteThere's never a dull moment here. I even picked some daffodils out of the garden... before the snow broke them. Crazy!
Not sure I like the 6am start... how about outwitting them and change the clock or cover it up! (hehe)
It was very crisp for our walk Nan... we were well wrapped up but it was great to get outside.
I wish you a wonderful week too. Hugs back to you
really scenic shot :) sun shining her but still a bit of snow on the ground and plenty of snow in the hills
ReplyDeleteWell we had snow on the hills too, then it decided to come and pay a visit Jennifer.
DeleteWe had sunshine and snow today. It's all so confusing. The only common theme is that it's chilly no matter what!
yeah it snowed for a bit here too but it didn't stay on the ground. not too chilly here, unless the wind hits. been very windy :/ but its better than all the rain we have had
DeleteOh yes, I'd much rather chilly dry bright days instead of grey wet ones. We've had snow once again and it went to ice overnight! Brr!
DeleteWeather is really weird lately! This capture is nice. Sunshine is always bearable =) Happy Valentine's Day #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteThe weather does seem to be a little confused right now. We've had at least three snow flurries today, but then the sun would shine.
DeleteIt must be so confusing for the animals and birds... not to mention us! A good sign is that the sun did have a little warmth in it... so a good sign.
Happy Valentine's Day to you too.
A lovely photo, almost looks like a post card. I'm so looking forward to Spring as well. ~Lowanda of Sunshine and Elephants #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteAww thank you Lowanda,
DeleteIt is a fantastic walk and one we all enjoy. I'd just like it to be a little warmer now. Let's hope spring will arrive soon.
What a pretty shot! :)
ReplyDeleteWe've got another winter storm passing through with light snow. But spring isn't expected here until April or so.
Happy Valentine's Day!
It sounds the same as here Rita, we've had both sunshine and snow today. I would say spring normally comes in April but we can all hope it comes early eh?
DeleteHappy Valentine's Day to you too
I cannot wait until Spring is fully here, we've stared to tempt fate and open the windows and doors and clear out for a 'Spring clean' - lovely picture and the sun poking through is great #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteI opened the garden door for a few hours earlier in the week which now sounds madness, especially with the snow showers that arrived today.
DeleteThe weather has gone crazy and it's all so confusing for both animals and birds, but also for us too!
Wonderful light mood in the photo.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice new week
Hello Mascha,
DeleteIt was just a break in the storms and bad weather, so it was good to take advantage and go for a walk.
I hope you have a great week too.
A great stroll through the countryside. We had rain this past weekend, so I didn't get to make new photos. Yours is great. Thanks for sharing with "Through My Lens"
ReplyDeleteMersad
Mersad Donko Photography
My photo was taken in a very brief window of good weather Mersad,
DeleteWe had storm Imogen and now we have snow!
It was good to get outdoors even if only for a brief time.
Thanks for hosting 'Through My Lens'... I really enjoy linking up with everyone.
Have a great week
Oh it looks so springy out there! I so envy you since we are still struggling with snow...
ReplyDeleteLove you header btw. Have a good week!
Hmm... well we now have snow Monas, so spring seems to be in hiding once again.
DeleteMy header photograph was taken from when I lived in Melbourne. I was thinking that it was time perhaps for a revamp of my blog. It feels kind of old fashioned now. I'd like to make it more crisp and clean.
I'm not sure that I'm brave enough to do it though.
Have a great week.
What a pretty shot! Spring is in the air at your place in the world :)
ReplyDeleteWell actually it isn't Birgitta because today we had snow!
DeleteSpring is being very illusive this year.
I hope you have a great week.
i am ready to say goodbye to winter! beautiful spring like shot, i can almost smell the rain!
ReplyDeleteAlthough it was very chilly Tanya, it was a nice break in the weather. Later that day and yesterday we have had snow.
DeleteI've noticed that it's getting lighter in the evenings though, so spring has to be arriving soon.
I won't be in the LEAST bit sad to see winter leave!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your photography at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2016/02/old-san-juan-pigeon-park.html
Neither will I... I've certainly had enough now.
DeleteWe've had snow yesterday and it turned icy but thankfully it's disappeared now.
Come on spring... get a move on!
My sweet Neesie,
ReplyDeleteI thank you most sincerely for the lovely words you left on ~ My little old world ~ as a comment, you're truly so very gentle and delicate !
I wish you a most beautiful week
sending love
Daniela
It was my pleasure Daniela, I enjoyed visiting.
DeleteNow it's my turn to thank you for your lovely comment.
I hope you have a wonderful week too.
Really nice capture of a interesting weather day, with the puddles and patches of blue sky.
ReplyDeleteIt was the day that kept giving Rhonda,
DeleteWe had sun and snow with everything in-between! So we were actually lucky to get outdoors for our walk.
Looks like a lovely walk after the rain!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great walk Marie and we were very lucky to get out there because it snowed later that day.
DeleteIt would be nice 'detective' challenge to work out the season based on what you can see in this picture.
ReplyDeleteThe light in Australia is remarkable - but I still miss the small and folded nature of the UK landscape - I've been here 20 years and some things dont just pass away!
Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
I think that would be a tough challenge Stewart, because we had rain in the first part of the day, sun in the middle and later snow! But it would be a fun game.
DeleteI know I would miss the UK so much. I traveled as an expat for over 24 years but knew that I'd have to return to the UK at some stage.
For a start I missed the seasons and wildlife so much.
I'll have to try to send some photo's of the things you miss... 20 years is a long time.
Have a wonderful weekend
