Today, it felt like it was the first day of the summer.
For the first time I could actually feel heat in the sun, so we decided to make the most of it.
Out came the sun loungers... a very rare thing this summer.
We decided to relax and enjoy it.
It's a good job we did because within an hour or two the rain had returned!
I think we can safely say that this summer has been a complete wash out... well so far it has, but you never know we might have an Indian Summer.
(I'm forever hopeful)
I'm keeping today's post brief... just in case the sun comes back... I've got to be ready to catch it!
As usual I'm linking up with Photalife
I hope the sun shines for you.
Enjoy your Sunday
Wow you have sunshine. What a great photo. Hope you're having a great summer x
ReplyDeleteWell actually we have summer for the odd hour here and there, it really has been a poor one up to now, but I'm hoping it will go up a gear soon! I can't imagine heading into autumn until I've felt a little more heat.
DeleteShame about the weather. That looks like bliss for however long!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly was bliss Emma and not something I indulge in normally, but my daughter was visiting and we haven't seen much of the sun, so I wanted to give it my full attention!
DeleteIt made an appearance here today too, in fact rather lovely by the afternoon
ReplyDeleteWell we've seen it at breakfast and now it's just appeared. But the in between was a grey blanket once again. I've never known a summer like it! Let's hope we get an Indian Summer!
DeleteGlad to hear you managed to enjoy some sunshine and got to toast your tootsies in the sun! :-)
ReplyDeleteWell I managed to get about an hour of sun Louise... but an hour is better than none. The sun is just being very illusive this summer!
DeleteEnjoy the sun Neesie, it's not very often it peeps out from behind those clouds x
ReplyDeleteYou are right there Cathy, we've seen very little of the sun over the last few weeks... an hour here and there, so now I'm determined that I will enjoy it when it appears.
DeleteAutumn will come calling soon enough!
Thats the perfect way to enjoy the sun.
ReplyDeleteThank you for linking up
It certainly is Darren... I hope to sneak in another hour or two when the sun decides to return.
DeleteIt's very illusive at the moment!
What a lovely photo, but sorry to hear your summer has been so awful. It hasn't been brilliant down south, but it's not been too bad either!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping an Indian summer is on it's way to us Sarah. I just can't imagine autumn coming soon, without having one good blast of heat first!
DeleteWe have been out and about in the sun with the boys. I would KILL to get 5 minutes to put my feet up and laze in it, so your picture looks very inviting!
ReplyDeleteAww I hope you can manage to do some relaxing at some stage.
DeleteI have to tell you that I don't usually indulge, but my daughter was visiting so we lounged whilst catching up. Normally I'd be weeding or doing some garden chore.
The weather hasn't been too great has it? Looks like you were making the most of the good weather though #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteIt certainly hasn't been good here Rachel. I have decided that when the sun shines I am going to make the most of it!
DeleteUtterly perfect way to spend a summers day :)
ReplyDeleteWell it certainly was for the hour that I indulged Victoria. I just hope I get more opportunities before autumn comes to call.
DeleteOh wow! That sunshine...We need some here. It has felt like Autumn this week. It looks the perfect way to spend the day x
ReplyDeleteIt didn't last long here either Kim. We are getting the odd sunshine in the early morning and late afternoon... but it's been mostly grey cloud and showers!
DeleteI'm convinced we're going to have a gorgeous September! Well done for getting the loungers out if only for a couple of hours X #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteOh me too! I think if we all think positive thoughts it will come!
DeleteMind due I thought that for July and August! We only seem to see the sun for the odd hour here and there. I just hope there's more before autumn comes.
We've had both rain and sun here, but it's been generally hot. Crazy weather all over. Enjoy whatever positive changes you can get--yes!--before Mother Nature changes her mind--LOL!
ReplyDeleteHot? Hot Rita? I haven't felt hot since I left Melbourne, or had the wood burner blasting out!
DeleteI've decided to make the most of any opportunity... if the sun shines I go out... if it doesn't I stay in and if I possibly can I try to squeeze some art into the mix!
We really need to take advantage of the sun while its there or it will be gone the next day haha. Thats a real gorgeous weather right there! #mysundayphoto
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed and I'm happy to report that we've had some more lovely sunny days since this one. Yesterday the temperature reached 38 degrees on our patio, which really is exceptional!
Deletespent all day today sitting on the back step enjoying the sun. can't waste getting any Vit D, cleaning can wait lol :p
ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree Jennifer. Getting our daily dose of Vitamin D is far more important for our well being. I'm leaving my household chores too... if that sun shines... I'm out there!
DeleteWell at least someone can still reach their toes. And to think, we are not getting enough rain!
ReplyDeletesandy xx
Only if there's a prevailing wind Sandy! (hehe)
DeleteWe have had some lovely sunshine, but then I think most days we seen
some rain. We've even had foggy mornings.
I know what it's like to be without rain after living in the Middle East. It will be wonderful when it arrives.
We have had another rubbish summer haven't we! I'm hoping we might get a few more good weeks #countrykids
ReplyDeleteBecause I'm a little late replying to your comment Emma, I can now report that we have in fact had a few days of warm weather... even reaching 38 degree's on our patio!
DeleteI'm hoping for an Indian Summer during September :D
