My Sunday Photo... Woodland Walk

The light seems to play such a huge part in our lives at this time of the year.
Whether it's the lack of it light with the shorter days or that when it does shine it hangs so low in the sky, casting it's long shadows.
We have had incredible sunrises, which we can witness without having to set the alarm clocks to an unearthly hour... and the sunsets have been spectacular.
It's an incredible time for photographers to get out and enjoy.

This photo was snapped whilst walking my dog in the local woods.
The forest floor is completely covered with leaves, which seem to cushion each footstep... like walking on a sprung floor.
The colours are spectacular especially in the beautiful sunlight.

I'm linking up with Photalife once again and Mersad's Photography - Through a lens
Thank you for your visit and I hope that maybe you'll join me over at my new website
I've still got lots to workout and it's really pushing my technical abilities to the limit, but hopefully I'll get there. It's a good mental workout for sure.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone

  3. Love that sun shining through the trees. There are such beautiful skies this time of year - and getting to see the sunrises is one of the few nice things about the dark mornings!

It was a beautiful walk. I hope you like the new website, but I'm still trying to get to grips with it all. It's pushing me and my techy abilities... or lack of them. Definitely a mental workout, but hopefully I'll get there.

    1. Aww thanks for trying Sherry and for coming back to tell me. I'm going to investigate a little more today, but it's a tough mental workout for an old fossil like me. Hopefully I'll manage to sort it out soon.
It's a steep learning curve, but I suppose when I started blogspot I felt the same all those years ago. Thanks once again

    1. Thanks Debbie, we are so lucky to have such wonderful places to walk around us. The leaves have mostly fallen to the ground now and that's why there is such a lush carpet on the forest floor.

It's gone slightly warmer this weekend, but it's thankfully still bright. Enjoy your Sunday

    1. Oh I do hope so Sandy. The trouble is that I'm an old fossil and this creating a website is stretching my mental ability to the limit!
Each time I go into the site I get manage to fix something but it's a slow process. I think I've managed to allow anyone to leave a comment... but a follow button is beyond me at the moment. I'll get there it just might take me a little time :/

    1. I love each one of the seasons Kate for different reasons, but I think autumn is one of my favourites. I missed the seasons so much when we lived in the Middle East, so I savour each one now that I'm back in the UK.

    1. Hey Pam, the weather was beautiful. The frosticles from over the last week have disappeared now, but I suppose from someone who lives in Australia it would be chillywoo.
Imagine a blazing log fire and the heat that that throws out... then imagine a match flame. That's probably what heat you'd feel here right now. (hehe)
