LATEST NEWS.....apologies for the rafflecopter not working properly. I will add anyone who has commented on this post below into the draw. The names will go into a hat or whatever next Wednesday so there's still time to tell your friends to pop over!
Watch this space for the winning announcement.
Thanks to all you wonderful people who have already left such amazing comments.
♥ You make my heart smile ♥
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Today's post should come with a warning...it's a little long, or I should say contains 12 photos, but then there's a good reason for that...it's my first ever 'GIVEAWAY'.
I wanted to announce the giveaway on WOYWW because all you wonderful WOYWWer's out there have given me so much encouragement and inspiration. So instead of showing you my workdesk today, I thought I'd show you what has been created on my workdesk.
By the way the giveaway isn't exclusive to only WOYWWer's.... its open for anyone anywhere to enter! Yay!
If you're new and wonder what on earth I'm talking about then just nip over to Julia to see all the creative workspaces out there...you're allowed to sticky beak peek at anyone's desk...they're a very friendly bunch.
I apologise to everyone whom I didn't visit last week ~ I have a sick note from the doctor but I've had trouble attaching onto this post! I'll make up for it this coming week ;D
I apologise to everyone whom I didn't visit last week ~ I have a sick note from the doctor but I've had trouble attaching onto this post! I'll make up for it this coming week ;D
So onto the 'GIVEAWAY' ~ Drum roll please...
What is the prize and how do you enter for a chance to win....?
The prize is a pack of six specially designed cards created by me just for you...they are blank inside so that they are suitable for any occasion. All you have to do to enter is to be a follower of my blog and leave a comment telling me which design you like best and why? I'd also like you're ideas on what new designs you'd like to see and why? And that's it....easy peasy!
Then if you're the winner I will announce it one week from today. The lucky winner can choose any of the six designs or perhaps you'd prefer them all to be the same? I don't mind...the choice is your's. The giveaway will be open for one week, so that everyone gets a chance to enter. To make the draw as fair as possible I have enabled the rafflecopter to pick the winner (hopefully) so when you leave a comment it will allocate a number to your comment. Therefore I won't reply to your individual comments as I would usually, but I will answer via your email if you have one.
Is that clear? I hope so if not just contact me with your questions.
Is that clear? I hope so if not just contact me with your questions.
On to the designs....here they are and I've named them just so that there's no confusion.
Hybiscus
Rosebud
Protea
Garlic
Capsicum
Oranges
Apples
Owl
Teapot
Bird of Paradise flower
Tropical Leaf
Mixed fruit
So here's a recap on how to enter this giveaway.....
- If you're not already a follower of my blog then please press the follow button in my sidebar and tell me you have done so.
- Next, choose which design you like the best from the 12 designs shown above and leave a comment telling me which one you like and why?
- Also let me know if there's something that you'd like to see in a new design and why?
a Rafflecopter giveaway
And that's it....so Good Luck Everyone and enjoy....I'll be back next week to announce the winner ;D
I'm also entering these designs into the Artist Playroom. Take a peek at some more amazing artist zentangles hosted by Jenn. Have fun!
oh my gosh what a give away, your work is just amazing, I think my fav are the owls but i really love them all, you are very talented with the zentangle, wow
ReplyDelete;D thanks Laurie, somehow I thought the owls might be your favourite.
DeleteI'm not sure if the rafflecopter is working as it should, so if it doesn't then I'll keep to the usual way of leaving comments and that will qualify readers for the chance to win the giveaway...therefore you're in the draw!
Good Luck! :D
no prizes for working out which design I like best... the teapot all day and every day, but that protea is gorgeous as well... great designs...xx
ReplyDeleteHehe I guess I don't get a prize then. I don't mind the teapot but I have to confess the teacup gave me a battle...I'm not as talented as yourself Trace ;D
DeleteI placed the Protea in a black frame with a white and black mount yesterday and have to admit its a nice addition to our home.
The boys both said wow which is a real compliment :D
Have a wonderful Wednesday and I've got you in the giveaway....not sure about this widget or my capabilities to work it but anyone who leaves a comment will be in the draw....I'll just have to come up with a fair way of picking the winner out....maybe get Mufftypup to do it?
They are all so unique and original - well done! Since I'm a tea loving gal I have to confess that the Tea-pot design is definitely my favourite - I love that the design lends itself to an ancient tradition whereby imbibing this delicious drink we can share, socialise and celebrate. It's actually quite iconic. Suggestions for new designs? Well there are so many possibilities but I'm leaning toward images that link in with my favourite design (no surprise there) ... So I'm thinking ... Tea cups, cake, cup cakes, biscuits... a tea party table... bunting! Lovely! Oh and thank you for organising a give-away! PS - I tried logging in with the rafflecopter thingy but it said "this contest hasn't started yet" ?? Can I enter with just a comment or do I need to do it again via email?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your lovely comments...I'm not sure about the Rafflecopter either...what a bummer!
DeleteI'm trying to go in to tweak...the time was on EST and not GMT so I've sorted that out, but not sure if anyone can leave a comment on it yet. Maybe I was being too ambitious for an auld gal with all this techy stuff ;D
I'm making sure that anyone leaving a comment will be in the draw so you're in with a chance to win :D
If you wanted to have another go at leaving a comment in the rafflecopter then please do I'll be keeping an eye on it to see if it registers it.
Have a great day and thanks again for popping over with such compliments.
Your work is awesome you are quite the talented artist thanks for sharing with us and have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThank you Peggy for you're lovely comment. I appreciate you stopping by.
DeleteHave a wonderful week ~ enjoy ;D
ReplyDeleteI've had such amazing encouragment and wonderful compliments about my designs that I thought it only right that I should say thank you to everyone in the form of a 'giveaway'.
DeleteHappy WOYWW too Shaz....stay cosy ;D
Great designs all... but I think I love most the Protea. I like the shape and all those little things happening there.
ReplyDeleteI´m now your follower.
Have a nice day!
Tuire #14
Hello Tuire, I'm happy to have you follow especially when you leave such lovely comments.
DeleteI have to admit the Protea is one of my favourites and I knew it would work well when I saw it in a neighbours garden.
Have a wonderful Wednesday too ;D
Hi Neesie, What wonderful cards and the artwork is amazing. Looking forward to taking part in your giveaway as its certainly a very generous gift to whoever receives them. Happy WOYWW157. Hugs Rita 17 xxx
ReplyDeleteIt appears that the Rafflecopter isn't working as I would like, so it's back to the drawingboard...I'll maybe put all the names into a hat of everyone whose left a lovely comment here and get someone to pick out the winner. Maybe Mufftypup could do it....she can't be brided well not unless it's fresh chicken!
DeleteSo you're in the draw Rita...good luck ;D
Have a great WOYWW ~ enjoy the desk hopping.
Hi Neesie, yes I love tham all, but the Teapot..well I am Very partial to teapots.Have fun with the Giveaway.
ReplyDeleteJudy #26
The teapot is very popular. I'm a teapot myself actually with the amount I drink in a day ;D
DeleteHappy WOYWW Judy and thanks for popping over to my place...it's always great to have you visit.
I like best the tea pot because when I look at the picture it makes me relax. Teatime with friends or loved ones. Anyway, I don't have nay suggestion for what you can make later because for me you are doing already magnificent works. And I am already a follower:)
ReplyDeleteOh Joy thank you so much...you're comments warm my heart.
DeleteIt appears the teapot has leapt into the lead on my scoreboard!
I've got more designs done but I'm keeping them hidden for a little while. Secrets!
Thank you for following too ~ I really appreciate it ;D
Have a wonderful Wednesday ~ enjoy :D
...your work is simply beautiful it would be hard to choose any given design...thanks for sharing today...Mel :) #27
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment Mel.
DeleteI didn't get a chance to visit many people last week so I'm hoping I can scoot about more this week.
Enjoy WOYWW ;D
Lovely give away and it will always be flowers as first choice for me..... Protea.
ReplyDeleteSandra @36
Hi Sandra,
DeleteI now have the original Protea drawing framed on my wall and it really looks great.
Thanks for popping by my place and leaving a comment...I appreciate it ;D
Happy WOYWW!
WOW!!What a fabulous giveaway Nessie, O no now I have to choose a fav.. they all are Gorgeous... Ok it would have to be the T pot as I love a wee cup of Tea.. Not sure If I am doing the right thing with your thingycoper!! Hugs May x x x#34
ReplyDeleteMorning May,
DeleteI didn't realise so many WOYWWer's are tealeaves (the name my Grandma used to use ~ bless)
Don't worry about the thingycoper it shows you've entered but I know that no-one can leave their comment there...not sure why so I've gone to the helpdesk but they aren't awake yet!
I think I'll just go with the old fashioned way of putting the names in a hat!
I was maybe trying to be a little too advanced techy wise than I'm capable of.
Don't worry you're in the draw now so fingers crossed and good luck ;D
Happy WOYWW ~ have a great time deskhopping. I hope to hop soon :D
Hi, the designs are all great, Owl is kinda number one but I love the strelitzia too; and the protea...... I'm sure you get the idea.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fun week. I'm a follower and I'd love to be entered into your draw.
Neil # 44
Hi Neil,
DeleteNae probs (Scottish) no problem (English) no worries (Aussie) which ever way you say it....you'll be in the draw and thanks for popping over to my place.
I didn't visit desks as much as I'd have liked last week but I plan to make up for it this week.
Have a fun week too ;D
Neil, I've tried to visit your desk but I can't gain access to your blog at the moment...but I'll keep trying :D
DeleteStill can't access your blog Neil ~ sorry!
DeleteHi lovely Neesie, I am a bit of a technophobe but think I managed to enter......hope your chesticles have improved and that all those nasties have gone now. I adore our work, as you know, but if I was pushed to choose it would be the hybiscus, simply because it reminds me of lovely holidays we had in Greece, where it is beautifully warm - it is so cold here the heating has gone back on! Have a lovely WOYWW, Anne x #24
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, don't worry as I've decided I'd better not bother with the techy thingy myself...it's not letting people leave comments so we're back to the old school. I'll be allocating everyone a number in the order they appear here and pick the number out of a hat next week! So you're in the draw....Good Luck!
DeleteI've contacted the techybods behind it, but they obviously need lots of sleep with using all that brainpower. Hopefully they'll come back to me, so that I'll know what I did wrong if in fact I did do something wrong.
I shouldn't keep challenging myself. I'll never learn.
I'm certainly on the mend I think, so thank you for your kind comments. Cough is hanging on but I'll struggle on ;D
It's lovely to hear why people choose a particular design. Sorry to hear your summer's over! (Hehe) A typical June by the sound of it.
Thanks for visiting Anne, I love you have you pop by.
Have fun with WOYWW ;D
Good luck with the giveaway! Your images are stunning!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW
Zoe #60
Thanks Zoe, I really enjoy creating them...I have no idea where they come from, but I'm so glad they're here ;D
DeleteHappy WOYWW to you too ~ enjoy!
these are amazing,good luck with your giveaway
ReplyDeletehave a fab crafty week
kay #52
Hi Kay,
DeleteThanks for popping by my place. I didn't visit many desks myself last week but hope to rectify that this week.
Have fun and Happy WOYWW to you ;D
Hi Nessie it is hard to decide which one I like best! I love the way the hibiscus has the detail in the center, the owls branch is so detailed, the tea pot and cup have so much work in them! I thought I had hit the followers button before but I guess I just subscribed via google reader! Thanks for sharing and have a great week! Vickie #51
ReplyDeleteThanks for following Vickie, I'm thrilled to have you join me and hope you enjoy you're visits ;D
DeleteYou've left some lovely comments and I really appreciate you're time. It looks like the Protea and Teapot are in the lead so far...
Have a wonderful WOYWW ~ enjoy!
Oh my goodness, will it help if I go on my knees and plead? LOL I LOVE your work!Just became a follower (Can't believe I left it till now) I love the protea, because it is our National flower here in South Africa, but the oranges are just magnificent too! Hope you are feeling a lot better.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW
Tertia 68
Psst...chocolate always works Tertia (LOL) ;D
DeleteThanks for such lovely comments and for becoming my latest follower.
You've also pushed the Protea into the lead so well done you!
I have a special fondness for South Africa but that can't influence my winner :D
Happy WOYWW to you too ~ enjoy your desk hops!
I'm rendered speechless for once. WOW!!! I've forwarded your blog onto some of my friends.
ReplyDeleteLynn 61
One I made earlier today
Hi Lynn, well that really is a compliment! Thank you so much ;D
DeleteIt's not very often I'm rendered speechless as my hubby will no doubt vouch...but the WOYWWer's are an amazing bunch of talented artist and I'm just so happy I found the lovely Julia and her gang.
It's certainly kept me inspired and motivated.
Happy WOYWW!
What a great give away but you have set such a hard task to choose one. Well if I must....hmmm....garlic, protea, tropical leaf, mixed fruit. Sorry, just too hard to select one. The intricacy astounds me. Suggestions, well you seem to be doing an excellent job choosing your designs but perhaps a kookaburra. Good luck to all.
ReplyDeleteHi there Pam,
DeleteThank you so much for your lovely comments...I really appreciate all the compliments. They really mean such a lot to me and reinforce that I should keep creating the designs.
I'm excited about my latest one but that's a secret for now, that I can't possibly divulge just yet...if I told you I'd have to kill you ;D
Have a wonderful week and thanks again for stopping by xoxo
I would love to enter because I have loved your Zentangle art from the moment I saw it - and it's something that I simply cannot do!! All the designs are fabulous but my favourite is the last, MIXED FRUIT. I love the abstract quality of it, the way that you almost can't see what the items are, just the pure pattern. And I love pattern..celtic knotwork, maori designs..I'm a sucker for them all. I prefer black and white art too.
ReplyDeleteHugs, LLJ #70 xx
You say such wonderful things LLJ, thank you....
DeleteI'm so interested and happy to hear you're comments. Don't worry you're in the draw. The Rafflecopter isn't working properly but everyone who leaves a comment here will have their name allocated a number and then I'll organise a volenteer to pick the winner out of a hat (or whatever).
Thanks for stopping by and Good Luck! ;D
Hi Nessie super cards, thanks for sharing and have a great Wednesday, hugs Erika. #61
ReplyDeleteHi Erika,
DeleteThanks for popping by my place.
Have a wonderful WOYWW ~ enjoy! :D
Oh my such a super and generous give-away. I love the teapot, though am a coffee drinker I do love the 'British' idea of tea! It reminds me of one of my best friends who loves her posh tea. But they are all gorgeous, so whoever wins will be a lucky person indeed. Take care my WOYWW friend. Zo xx 65
ReplyDeleteHi Zo,
DeleteI'm a real teapot myself...always having a cuppa on the go. One day I counted that I'd had about 12 cups (large mugs really) in one day!
Thanks for your lovely comments. I really appreciate them.
Have a great time desk hopping. I didn't manage to visit many last week but hope to make up for it this week ;D
I can't for some reason, leave a comment in the entry box thingy, but no matter...what a marvellous and generous give away Neesie. If it were me, I would go for the hibiscus. Chosen on the basis that it's first in the row of pictures, because frankly, it's impossible to actually select one!
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, great to have you back... ;D
DeleteI am so annoyed that the rafflecopter isn't working properly...it's probably my fault but don't worry I'll go back to the old fashioned way of pulling the name out of the hat of everyone that has left a comment here!
So you'll be in the draw ~ Good Luck!
I didn't get to visit as many as workspaces as I would have liked with being poorly sick but I hope to make up for that during this coming week.
Thanks again for coming up with this brilliant idea and keeping us all inspired and creating! You're a saint.
Hi Nessie - new follower here sent over by the Doodly mama herself - Lynn :) LOve what I see here, my goodness what beautiful work! I'm about to embark on my very first zentangle this week, hope I get the jist of it right, but I'm sure I'll have fun trying ;0) I am allergic to oranges but just adOre the smell of them so I choose the orange as my favourite, although the owl has particular appeal and the tropical leaf is just stunning to me.......Never mind the techie stuff, 'name out of a hat' is traditional ;0)
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to yu, and I look forward to 'losing hours' mooching about your world :0)
Thanks for popping over and becoming my newest follower...and to Lynn for recommending you visit my space.
DeleteI think you'll have a great time 'tangling! Be warned they are addictive and they really can be hard work for the eyes. But I find them really enjoyable and relaxing. ;D
Don't forget to let me see what you create....Good luck!
I've made a note of your choices and your name will definitely be in the hat ;D
Enjoy your mooching about in my world...I hope you have a great time. Have fun :D
AMAZING...such patience. I follow you. I honestly don't know which one to choose, they are all spectacular! I love them all especially the tropicals because that's where we live. If I HAVE to choose one, I guess the tropical leaf wins out although the orange is a close second.
ReplyDeleteHi Charlene,
DeleteThe leaf was actually my first design and in fact I didn't know that I was zentangling until someone from WOYWW told me that I was.
So that particular design is special to me...I actually took the leaf design from my own garden.
Thanks so much for following because without all you lovely followers this wouldn't be much fun! :D
wow they are amazing, I love the last one beat, I'm already a follower and/.... how about a horse...a mask! The post office is open today, so I'm off to post some atc's
ReplyDeleteLovely atc's. Happy WOYWW
((Lyn)) at #64
A HORSE! what are you trying to do to me Lyn?
DeleteBut don't tell anyone this is just between you and me ~ I've done a kangeroo and a koala already, plus another Magpie to replace the one who flew the nest! So who knows maybe a horse could appear at some stage?
Have fun and thanks for popping by my place ~ enjoy! ;D
My gosh, Neesie, how does one choose from such spectacular choices?? I truly love them all and would definitely do one of each or any of them. Since I have to choose I think I'll go with the last one, the mixed fruit. I just love the abundance of it and that it fills the entire page with eye candy. Speaking of eyes, you must have gone blind doing all these!!
ReplyDeleteI have been following your for a while and am so thrilled that you have joined APR. I'm blessed to have such high calibre artists grace my site. Thank you so much for entering. You ROCK!
Best,
Jenn
Aww Jenn thank you so much,
DeleteI know you've been a follower and I'm happy to have you visit.
I've made a note of your favourite and must admit I like the mixed fruit because its so different from the others.
I'm not sure I'll be in the same calibre as you're other artists that visit the Playroom but I'll have a go.
It's a fantastic idea and thank you for hosting fantastically. It's so special keeping people inspired and creating. :D
This was so hard ...I loved them all for different reasons ... some because they were abstract others because they were real ... I tried to imagine them as a large drawing on my wall and got it down to 3 ...hybiscus....bird of paradise ....and tropical leaf.... finally went for the paradise flower. Why ? not sure ...maybe because the flower is normally dominant and you reversed it so that the leaves stood out.xx
ReplyDeleteHi Angie,
DeleteIt's always good to bring something that's been in the shadows out into the light...their 15 minutes of fame. Just to go along with your choice I wonder if you've seen the design I did a few weeks ago, when I added colour to the flower as a trial...take a peek on this link and see what you think....
http://neesienatters.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/whats-on-your-workdesk-woyww_09.html
Thanks for taking the time to indulge me and obviously appreciating my work. I've personally got the Protea on my wall in an 10x12 black frame and it looks great...also I've an A3 size Garlic ready to frame for my kitchen.
Enjoy WOYWW and thanks again for your kind comments ;D
They are all lovely but being English and having just celebrated the Diamond Jubilee it has to be the Tea one that is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a talent
I'm now following your blog
Hugs Emily#90
Hello Emily, the teapot is certainly a popular one. There's a lot of tea drinkers out there ;D
DeleteWe've been watching all the Diamond Jubilee celebrations here in Oz which has been brilliant. Everyone I know have just enjoyed all the pomp and pageantry. No-one does it better than the British...I've been feeling very proud :D
Thanks for becoming a follower. I really appreciate that and hope you enjoy your visits. I'll pop the kettle on next time!
Happy WOYWW!
What a wonderful contest Neesie and your Zentangle art is gorgeous, really choose just one, well... went back 4 times to look again and again. I'm rather partial to owls and your hibiscus well it's gorgeous but I'm going to have to choose the incredibly delicious abstract quality of the mixed fruit, it just keeps bringing me back! Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteWow thanks for taking so much time and thought making your choice Robin, I appreciate it ;D
DeleteI have to say the mixed fruit looks really good as a card.
Thanks for popping by my place and leaving such a lovely comment.
Have fun with WOYWW ~ enjoy!
Hi Neesie,
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I didn't realize I was not a follower -- got that straightened out right away. I love all of your zentangles - you are amazing! I think I'm drawn to the Tropical Leaf the most. Even though I've never been to Australia I think it reminds me of your country. I must confess, of all the zentangles I've seen I always think of the kangaroo.
Happy WOYWW
Hugs,
Kay #114
Hehe, I thought you were too Kay but not to worry you've sorted it, so welcome and thanks for doing that. I hope you enjoy your time here at my place.
DeleteAs I think I've mentioned previously the leaf is a little special to me because it was the first design I did. It started my journey ;D
Don't worry about the Kangeroo...he will be making an appearance at some stage with friends :D
Enjoy WOYWW and I hope to desk hop this evening...I was online most of yesterday until nearly 2am but didn't get to as many peoples desks as I would have liked.
Thanks for popping over to my place...I really appreciate it
Happy woyww , i love the flower pics you have done, my fave pics I have seen of yours so far I think, they are amazing. did you do atc's in that style? all the best, mark
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping by my place and leaving your comment Mark,
DeleteI didn't get involved in the ATC swaps only because I wasn't sure about how it all worked...but I'll certainly be ready for next year ~ that is if I'm still blogging then ;D
Have fun with WOYWW and I hope to visit asap...its been kinda busy this end. :D
What?! You want me to chose ONE?! I can't, I just can't! I love the rosebud, the oranges, the owl, the mixed fruit and the garlic. Oh and the tropical leaf!
ReplyDeleteI've noticed before you do a few native animals and birds, how about a flock of budgies?
or a Kakapo? (I know they're not in Australia... but it's closer to you than it is to me!!)
I've pretty much loved all of your drawings that I have seen.
I didn't mean to put stress on you Laura,
DeleteIts okay you don't have to choose one if it’s too hard to do :D
I'm so happy to hear that you like so many.
I do have other designs which do include birds and animals but a flock of budgies would lend itself so well to them but I'd think they'd need colour. I'm planning to add colour soon so I'll file that idea away. I love the Kakapo and haven't laughed so much for years when I saw one on a wildlife programme with Stephen Fry. Maybe you've seen it? Such a giggle.
Some people have commented that my designs remind them of aboriginal or Māori art...this gives me yet more ideas!
And so little time...phew...who needs sleep?
Have a great week :D
What fantastic zentangles!!!! My fave is thr owl!!
ReplyDeleteHi Simona,
DeleteThanks for stopping by...he's been very popular. I appreciate you leaving a comment.
Have a great week ;D
Hello!
ReplyDeleteThey are all so beautiful but I love the hybiscus and the rosebud the best! Wishing you a happy one!
Hugs,
Barbara Diane
Thanks Barbara,
DeleteThe hybiscus has been chosen by quite a few people.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a lovely comment.
Enjoy WOYWW and I hope to visit soon :D
Goodness me, they are stunning, they must take ages, don't know if I would have the patience. Absolutely fabulous. Happy WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteSophie
#81
They are amazingly relaxing to do although some say they drive them crazy...maybe I'm just odd?
DeleteThanks for a lovely comment and stopping by Sophie. I really appreciate it. ;D
Have fun with WOYWW and I hope to desk hop asap ~ enjoy your week!
Well for me its the owl how amazing.. Close second is the rose love how its just a bud just about to bloom. Joined as a follower. Sandy :) #98
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy...I'm really happy to have you as my latest new follower and I hope you enjoy visiting.
DeleteThanks also for taking time to choose you're favourite. I've been really interested to find out which ones have been the most popular.
Happy WOYWW ~ enjoy :D
Oh wow, what stunning work!
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous give away, especially as so much time must have been spent making the cards.
It’s hard to pick a favourite because they all have their own special something but for me it has to be the Hibiscus. It reminds me of my holiday in Hawaii many years ago.
Happy Crafting
Sue
#127
Holiday in Hawaii....ahhh....now that sounds just what I need.
DeleteIt's on my list of destinations to be ticked.
The hibiscus has been very popular ;D
Thanks for popping over to my place Sue.
Have fun with WOYWW ~ enjoy!
I love them all and hate to pick, but I love rosebud, garlic and owl I think. But then there was oranges and mixed fruit too!! ACk!!
ReplyDeleteyou know I love your tangles!!
Happy WOYWW1
xxDaniella #106
Oh thanks Daniella, I know you like them because you've been very kind on previous occasions.
DeleteI didn't get to visit much last week with the dreaded lurgy but I plan to make up for it this week.
I'll be desk hopping asap.
Happy WOYWW to you too :D
Holy cow Neesie! These are gorgeous!! Happy WOYWW and good luck on your first giveaway. :) Warmly, Tracy #93
ReplyDeleteLOL....glad you like them Tracy,
DeleteThanks for popping by my place and I hope to visit soon.
Happy WOYWW :D
Man oh man oh man oh MAN! These are all absolutely fantastic! How can you make us choose?? But there are two that do stand out to me: the hibiscus for it's striking simplicity and the protea, since it is my home country (South Africa's) national flower.
ReplyDeleteYou gave me such a giggle...
DeleteThe two you've picked have been really popular and I can fully understand why you'd pick the Protea.
I was very surprised when I saw them growing here because I'd only ever seen them growing in South Africa. In fact I saw a King Protea plant this morning in a garden very near to my house :D
Hi Neesie,
ReplyDeleteThese designs are gorgeous! I especially like the mixed fruit one. You always do wonderful things with your zentangling! (Honestly, I really don't think I've seen better ones anywhere.)
I thought I was already on your followers list but couldn't find me, so have added my name. I'm a bit late this week, but Happy WOYWW anyway!
RosA #153
Wow that's a real compliment RosA, thank you!
DeleteI thought you were a follower too...sometimes I think the system just likes to play with our minds ;D
You're a bit late??? Well there's no hope for me. I didn't get to visit many desks last week and its taken me 48 hours to answer all my visitors! I'm hoping to visit everyone's desk over the next few days. Julia wouldn't be impressed with me and I'll be on detention if I'm not careful :$
Have fun with WOYWW and thanks again for stopping by my space.
You must be the Queen of Tangles. I'm fairly new to them and very inspired by your examples.
ReplyDeleteDarla
Wow that is some compliment Darla,
DeleteI'm so happy to hear I've inspired you because that's what its about...passing on inspiration for everyone to keep creating.
Thanks for stopping by and if you do 'tangle please let me know...I'd love to see your designs ;D
Have fun!
Gosh, you turn your back for a minute and the give-away you have been waiting for sneaks up. Nearly missed this because I haven't visited as many desks this week because I have an eye infection. Good job I 'follow' already and have been having a browse of the sites I follow.
ReplyDeleteI love all of them - hard to chose one, let alone six, but I think I will pick the orange. Looks simple but I know it isn't and it is so precise. If I had a second pick it would be the mixed fruit - sense a food theme here?
Thanks for the chance to win, you do know I will spend the next seven days with my fingers crossed.
Oh I'm so glad you didn't miss this giveaway Ann,
DeleteIt will be open until next week so you still would have had some time...but I'm so happy you're here now.
Sorry to hear about your eye infection...I hope you're on the mend now. I haven't visited many desks but really have to get going later today...it's been quite a week so far!
Thanks for you're selection and don't worry you're in the draw now ~ Good Luck ;D
Running late this week :) I love all of your designs as they are so different. My favourite would have to be the hibiscus as it is so beautifully formed and just the touch of zentangle to grab your eye. Then I also love Mr Owl, he is so cute and I could stare at him all day long. The fruit would make great kitchen pictures. Aargh!! It's impossible to choose, I love them all because they are different to what you normally see and I love anything different. I already follow you, so please put me in the draw.
ReplyDeleteVon #1
Your earlier than me Von...I need to get visiting desks but won't manage until the weekend starts...anyway great to have you in the draw because I it just wouldn't be the same without you ;D
DeleteI'm not even sure I like zentangles but I like whatever it is I'm doing...my interpretation I suppose.
The hibiscus seems to be the star of the show at the moment, although Mr Owl is very popular.
The lady from the printing place started to call him 'George' ~ not sure he's a George but she thought so.
I've drawn an A3 sized Garlic which I'll frame for the kitchen. I think it'll look good there.
Thanks for stopping by...I always love you to visit and next time I'll pop the kettle on ;D
Have a wonderful weekend and I'll visit asap ~ promise :D
Denise, I don't think I could choose a favourite, each is beautiful and unique and special in it's own way! I love them all, but perhaps the teapot just a teensie bit more than the rest,but then . . .I am a tea pot sort of girl! xxoo
ReplyDeleteFrom one teapot to another thanks Marie ;D
DeleteMuffin is looking forward to helping with the draw...she's never been the shy retiring kind. Show her a the spotlight and she jumps right in! xoxo
Stunning pictures - I like the hibiscus best. How about making poppies with your art? I am now a follower too! I'm a bit late getting round the WOYWW desks this week - been busy making 3 more little wedding waistcoats. Have a great week. x Jo
ReplyDeleteHmm....Poppies, now I like the sound of that Jo ;D
DeleteI'm so thrilled to see you as my new follower and I hope you enjoy your visits to my place. I'm beyond late visiting desks and will probably be issued with demerit marks but I hope to snoop about later today.
Your wedding waistcoats sound interesting ~ I'll pop across asap :D
Have a wonderful weekend ~ enjoy!
Holy moly - now there's some gorgeous tangling! Just stunning pieces....visiting from APR and I'm your newest follower....
DeleteI'm loving the journey at the moment although its a little full on at the moment.
Have a wonderful weekend whatever you get up to :D
You say the nicest things Eliza...thank you for such lovely comments.
DeleteYou've picked the two most popular designs ;D
Have a great weekend ~ enjoy!
Unbelievably creative and beautiful designs. I love the way you have simplified an object and left some restful spaces of white, but then have done all the intricate tangles inside each piece! I believe my favorite is the garlic bulb. I will enter to win after i post this. What a talent you have!
ReplyDeleteHi Gloria,
DeleteThank you for popping by my place and leaving such a lovely comment plus following me. I hope you enjoy your visits ;D
When I first started to draw these designs I'd never even heard of zentangles, so I was surprised when someone told me there was an actual name for them.
I'd already decided that I didn't want the subject to be fully patterned and as you say I think the white spaces are just as powerful as the patterned.
I love the garlic and I've drawn an additional A3 size which I'm about to frame and put on my kitchen wall. It looks great and I'm really pleased.
So Gloria you're in the drawer...good luck and keep your fingers crossed ;D
Have a wonderful weekend ~ enjoy!
Neesie, your zentangle art is nothing short of stunning... I love it!! Well done indeedy!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #89
Thanks so much Shoshi,
DeleteI love to draw them and I've still got so many designs in my head waiting to get down on paper.
Have a wonderful week and thanks for popping over to my place ~ I'm still trying to get to everyone's desk...but its quite a task.
Hopefully I'll be across the you soon :D
Nessie, I love all of your zentangles! My favorite two are the tropical leaf and the rosebud. Theses two seem to have an organic flow to them that is very appealing to my eye. I would love to see a songbird, alligator , or kangaroo. Thanks for offering such a generous giveaway. - Heidi
ReplyDeleteHi Heidi,
DeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting. My son actually mentioned an alligator or lizard would be a good design so I've stored that away for future reference. I've got a kangeroo already completed he's just a little shy yet but he'll be making an appearance with some friends soon ;D
It is my pleasure to do the giveaway because everyone has been so encouraging to me that its my way of saying thank you.
I'm really quite excited about it and looking forward to sending the prize to somewhere out in blogland :D
Thanks for visiting, Neesie, and I'm glad you like the coloured zentangles! The Inktense pencils are brilliant, and well worth having.
ReplyDeleteShoshi #89
Hi Shoshi,
DeleteI definitely think I need some Inktense pencils...I just need to find out now where I can source them. Not sure if my local art supplier has them...but I'll be there tomorrow to check ;D
Thanks for passing on you're expertise!
Have a great week and thanks for popping by :D
Hola Nessie, son todos muy bonitos y teniendo que escoger lo haría con el capullo de rosa porque en estos momentos me decanto más por la simplicidad y de todos es el que me transmite más esa sensación.
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo
Hola Rosa,
DeleteEspero que no te importa que yo he traducido su comentario para que todos puedan leer su comentario encantadora...
Gracias por hacer estallar a mi casa del ~ tengan una excelente semana...divertirse ;D
Hi Rosa,
I hope you don't mind that I've translated your comment so that everyone can read your lovely comment....
Hello Nessie, are all very beautiful and having to choose what would the rosebud because right now I prefer the simplicity and most of all is the one that gives me more feeling.
a hug
I feel lucky to even post! My computer is so slow lately so haven't been able to keep up to comment for everyone:( As usual I see that you are up to some lovely zentangles and a give away at that!!! I love them all, but I think the favorite is the tropical leaf as I love the bold lines in the design with much to look at. I also love the garlic and the protea for 2nd and 3rd successions! You are so awesome. I am already a follower and for good reason!
ReplyDeleteAren't computers brilliant when they work but &%$# when they don't!
DeleteThe tropical leaf was the first that I did so it's rather special to me too.
In fact you've picked my three favourites...but there's a new favourite sitting on my desk at the moment....more about that later ;D
Thanks for following ~ I really appreciate it.
Have a great week and good luck in the draw. Not long to wait now!
These are beautiful! You are very talented! I like the hybiscus and rose. Someone will be thrilled to win these! Thanks so much for visiting my "workspace" and leaving a comment! Valerie #144
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie,
DeleteThanks for popping over to my place and leaving a lovely comment.
I'm thrilled to do these designs so I hope the recipient is as thrilled to receive.
Have a great week ;D
Hi Neesie!
ReplyDeleteFirstly, thanks for your comment on my blog for WOYWW! I don't mind that it was late, so don't worry about it.
Secondly, about those cards you're giving away. Have you drawn those yourself?? They are amazing designs and I love them all! However, my two favourites (I can't choose between them!) would be the Protea and the Stralitsia (Bird of Paradise flower). I'm originally from South Africa and these are two of our national flowers and I love them both! Unfortunately the Scottish climate is not great for growing them so the closest I ever get is when we head to an attraction that has those huge greenhouses with exotic plants in.
Thanks so much for the chance to win!
Anthea (aka Scrappydiva)
Hi Anthea, yep I've drawn them myself and loved every minute ;D
DeleteI'm very fond of South Africa and have visited three times so I can understand you choosing the Protea and Stralitsia.
Quite a change for you now being in Scotland. Hmm....thistle...sorry my mind constantly think new designs, so I'll store that one away for future reference. My daughter is currently living in Edinburgh.
Not long to wait for the draw so keep your fingers crossed and good luck :D
Have a great week ~ enjoy!
Your work speaks volume of the person you are !! I love the way you have zentangled these fruits and flowers :)the hibiscus is a darling and so is your little blog :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comments Ritu and for popping over to my place ;D
DeleteI loved that you called 'zentangles' yoga for the mind, because that's exactly how it feels to me. I hope you don't mind but I'll be using that reference to describe them (but always linking back to you) :D
Have a great day ~ enjoy!
You are AMAZING!! Am I too late to enter?? The drawing is today! I love the Tropical Leaf & the Orange! I need to start Doodling & Zentangling again. It IS so relaxing & I LOVE doing them. Although, MINE are nothing spectactular.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the LUCKY Winner - whoever she/is is!
Oh now Nancy...stop it...you'll make me blush!
DeleteI'm so sorry that you've missed the draw. I'd love to be able to give everyone a prize after receiving such wonderful feedback from everyone but unfortunately I can't.
You're comment came in at 11.33pm so the draw has already taken place and I was in snoozyland and so was the celebrity for that matter!
If you haven't seen the draw then take a peek...it's caused quite a stir and people have loved it.
