What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday...WOYWW

Well hello all you lovely WOYWWer's out there...
(which for anyone visiting who doesn't know what 'WOYWW' stands for...
...its the brainchild of Julia over at Stamping Ground.
Everyone shows their work desk each week and it's creations for all to enjoy.

The only trouble is for me I've nothing to share this week except my temporary desk.
I've been missing from the Wednesday gang for many weeks due to moving from one side of the planet to the other (Melbourne Australia to Scotland - yeah very similar aren't they?) But hopefully now that we've unpacked or at least looked into the 120 packing boxes, I'll be able to get back to some artwork soon.
I've missed it so much! :(
I thought I'd possibly left my mojo back in Melbourne but thankfully it's been constantly trying to catch my attention.
I just need to set aside some time...in fact I've sneaked on here now when I should be doing lots of other tedious tasks. Shh...no-one will know if I keep my key tapping to a minimum.
So with that in mind, I'll just show you my temporary desk...well kitchen table really. I've a room that will be converted into a studio that I'll show you soon which is a very exciting thought.

I know the tablecloth hasn't been ironed...so sue me! As I say I've been busy!
I'll be creating some thank you cards soon, so hopefully by next week I'll have some art to share with you. :D
I'll also be writing Part 2 of the Scottish Castle Wedding hopefully later today, if you were visiting to catch the follow on ~ my apologies.
It is nearly ready for the publish button so don't go far...well except to visit all the other artists/crafters desks at What's on your Workdesk that is.
Have fun everyone ~ enjoy!

I'm so desperate to get back to my art so fingers crossed you won't have too long a wait.
      Thanks for stopping by.

  4. What a super view. You mean, we are supposed to iron table cloths? Needless to say I only iron the necessities so don't you worry about it! Glad you are settling back into UK life. We'll have to catch up soon. Take care Zo xx 72

    1. It is rather special isn't it Zo,
I'm hoping that we have the lambs come into the field early next year, as we did one year when we last lived here. We had so much fun watching all the antics from the comfort of our lounge.
Although I'm not sure what Muffy would think of that? ^..^

Table cloth still isn't ironed but do I care? Nah!
I'd rather try to use the time on other things...hopefully arty things!
Thanks for stopping by...oh I've just noticed you've changed your photo.
Catch up soon but in the meantime have fun with WOYWW!

    1. Hi Mark...oh yes there's going to be big projects ahead, which I have to admit is a little daunting.
We've got the well established mature garden to bring into line but also a whole area on the other side of the house which I'd like to devote to a veggie garden. Raised beds etc.
So it's going to keep me extremely busy...unless you're free for a little freelancing! LOL
I really don't know where to start on the veggie plot except to ask the farmer to swing on by with his tracker to turn it over and level it first! I think that would save months of back breaking work. Tatties by Christmas would be nice but we'll have to see.
      Wish me luck ;D
You know just how much work lies ahead! :( But all rewarding hopefully.
Thanks for stopping by...I'll be in touch no doubt soon if only to ask your expert advice! LOL
      Enjoy your week :D

It is a wonderful view isn't it. I find myself staring out of the window far too many times during the day!
My head hurts with all the inspiration jostling for attention, so I really need to get some of it out and soon! :D

Happy WOYWW to you to...enjoy desk hopping. I hope to start visiting later.

  8. I had to go back to the picture and look at the tablecloth after you said that, Neesie! If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have noticed it! What a beautiful window, letting in so much light all around. Glad you've got back to the UK all right. It's so long since I've visited that I didn't even know you were on the move. We are moving too, and it makes our paltry 1/2 hour journey to the new house pale into insignificance compared with your move half way round the world!! My new ARTHaven is almost ready for me to fill with all my stuff and I can't wait.

I certainly can understand you getting excited about your ARThaven. I'll possibly need your expertise when I'm sorting out my room.
Good Luck with it all although you're almost there now :D

  9. That is quite a move, Neesie! A gorgeous view, too. You know, I never would have noticed the tablecloth if you hadn't said anything. But it's funny, I have a "thing" about ironing them, I guess if they're on my own table, it's something I "see", but elsewhere, not really? Not sure why.

Oh don't worry, we won't tattle about your computer time!

The boys are in the garage (sorry that should read...Nerve Centre!) so they don't know I'm here.
I just have to make sure I don't get carried away and delay dinner otherwise they'll know!

It's pretty good outlook isn't it? But remember it is Scotland so I'll need all the light I can find.
I'm glad you're impressed Julia because quite frankly I'm amazed too.
I feel I can just about see the tunnel now but not quite the light at the end...but we'll get there. There's no rush with timescales on this house. As far as I know we're going to be here for some time. Hubby is mentioning some great big projects so I can't see the removal van returning anytime soon.
My mojo is in overdrive right now and itching to get going so I'm trying to allocate some time over the weekend if not sooner.

So, down to business. I love the view you have but in all honesty, who irons table cloths these days. I couldn't tell you the last time I ironed one, they get what they get around here. Can't wait to take a peek into you new art room when it's done. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do art wise, you have so many things around you. Hey, how about a castle picture??
Have a great week, will talk soon.

I'll try the same with the ones I receive ;D

I've been pleasantly surprised to hear so many people out there don't iron tablecloths! It's a real eye opener.
Next people will say they don't iron their bedding...HEAVEN FORBID!!!
I've taken a photo of the empty (art) room but there's some debate about whether it should be just an art room or study/library/office etc. That we'll share the room!!!
I KNOW that wasn't on my plan.
There's ongoing discussions and it's one that's not amusing me...he's got his garage (sorry that should read my hubby has got his 'Nerve Centre'!) so there shouldn't be any discussion at all as far as I'm concerned :/

Hmm...a castle picture...not sure I'm good enough or whether I'd be able to do that, but it's worth a thought. Thanks

Have a great week yourself whatever you get up to...I'll be across to take a peek soon. xoxo

  23. Ah, I remember it well! Actually, we only moved the relatively short distance from Rugby to Rhos-on-sea just over eighteen months ago now, but because we instantly felt so at home, it didn't take us long to unpack the essentials. Now, with a friend's help, we each have our own art space, a new shower room, and plenty of storage in the master bedroom.

Love the rural view out of your window - oh, and didn't notice the creases in the table cloth until you did!

Hope you get back to crafting soon, and welcome back to the UK,

I finally got to draw yesterday for an hour or so. It was so fantastic to get back to it.

Thank you for your welcome message anyway. It's very surreal but it does feel right.
I'm still on the kitchen table and probably will be for some time to come. I'd rather spend the time drawing as my free time is so precious and limited just now. I'm lucky because I mostly use limited supplies like pencils and pens, so it's not too bad.
I think the meaty stuff will come when winter arrives. Hopefully not yet for a while. I don't want to rush moving into the new room.

I hope to be busy doing stuff too but at the moment I'm finding it really difficult. I'm thinking that I'm going to allocate one day of the week where I'll devote to doing something arty.
That way I might actually get something done instead of doing everything else first! The art always seems to be pushed back for everything else.

The window is a distraction but maybe it's an inspiration too.
