    1. I did indeed... it was a fantastic day and one that I'll never forget. Even when the heavens opened and we got soaked.
      The horse was the feistiest one I've ever ridden... thankfully I remained seated thoughout!

    1. He was an Appaloosa horse that is best known for its colorful leopard-spotted coat pattern. He was stunning and a little scary if I am truthful.
      You know that saying... feel the fear but do it anyway... well that's certain what I did. I'm so glad that I did though. It was a very special day.
      The sky was very black and stormy which added to the drama... later it poured down but it still didn't dampen the day.

  7. I don't ride that often (not done it in years in fact) but it is good fun. Have never ridden on a beach though. I bet you had great fun.

      My horse was very keen shall we say and we got from one end of the long beach to the other in record time.

  10. oh wow thats a dream of mine ride a horse on a beach, one obstacle I am terrified of Horses. My son has lessons and I am dying to have one to help me get over my fear, what a stunning horse x

    1. As long as you have a good instructor and a kind older experienced horse then you should give it a go... especially if it is a dream. Feel the fear but do it anyway... isn't that the saying.

  13. Oh your Appaloosa horse is Stunning! What a wonderful ride that must have been. He looks full of himself with the wind blowing his main like that... Great Shot!!!

  16. Aaah Neesie! That must have been amazing!! How i wish it wasn't wordless Sunday....I'll bet you could tell us so much about that day..:) I rode a horse into a lake once..does that count? :) We went deep enough up to his back and i slipped off the saddle (on purpose )and paddled around him a little bit then got back in the saddle before we walked out....gosh that was fun. Thanks for the memory. Hugs! deb

      You sound like your a brilliant rider. I probably got as wet as you though when that sky broke and the heavens opened. I think that's what we making the horse a little wired!
      I too have fond memories of that day, so it's good to share to revive the memory.

    1. I can imagine what he must look like once he's galloping with all the markings moving at top speed. I didn't notice them whilst we were galloping I must admit.
      I wish I'd have had an action shot taken though.
      The beach was deserted and stretched for miles and miles.
      Just brilliant to gallop along.
