Did you miss me?
I bet you never even noticed I was missing.
We had to make a quick getaway to visit a sick relative, but we arrived back home yesterday.
There's masses to catch up on here... washing, weeding and wondering where to start first, so unfortunately I haven't any of my own art to share this week.
But I did say that I'd post a photo of the window that my daughter was painting whilst on holiday in Berlin.
The reflection in the window above is the artist at work... so intent and concentrating.
(If you'd like to see more artwork then click here)
I love to see an artist's desk.
There's something very comforting about it... I just wish it was mine.
Still now I'm back I hope I can find my mojo.
It must be in one of my bags because I've unpacked and haven't come across it yet.
I hope I haven't left it behind! (gulp)
So to finish up today I thought I'd add some photo's from my time away.
One delight was coming across a little Jenny Wren nest in a garden shed.
I've tweaked the photo in order to make it lighter, so that you can see the baby birds.
They are nearly ready to fledge and there twittering noises were quite loud from Mum trying to entice them out of the nest.
I couldn't resist capturing this view.
The Welsh hill's are off far in the distance.
This was an apple blossom tree.
Blossom tree's are nearly always photographed with beautiful pink or white blooms, but I liked the idea of capturing it in a different light.
We were visiting someone who was quite sick at the time, so maybe that was just the feeling at the time.
On a lighter note here's a photo of Muffy on her holidays.
I think she liked soaking up the warmer weather.
She's in serious need of a grooming session which thankfully if booked for next week.
I'm actually carrying her here because she refused to walk on the gritty country lane.
It was quite difficult to do... but I like the end result.
Hopefully I'll visit lots of desks and artwork this week.
Plus I hope to make up for lost time and manage to produce some art.
Have fun and thanks for stopping by my place.
I wish you a wonderful creative week ahead.
Lovely photos, and the window painted by your daughter is great. Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThanks Valerie, I loved the window too.
DeleteHappy PPF and hugs back to you
Love the fox paintings. And that sky in the photos looks very angry, almost like tornado clouds.
ReplyDeleteThey're cute aren't they Faye? I love the colour.
DeleteThankfully the angry clouds just moved across the sky. I don't think it even rained.
Nice foxes and thank you for sharing your great photos.
ReplyDeleteWishing a lovely weekend to you ☺
Thanks Sirkkis, I hope you have a wonderful weekend too.
DeleteYour daughter's window art is beautiful so stylish! Enjoyed your photos too, what a cozy nest, looks like a safe spot.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that even if she wasn't my daughter Christine, I'd really like this window art.
DeleteThat nest was very cozy and in a very safe spot until I came across it. I tried not to disturb them though, but think they'll fledge within days by their size and ability to fly.
such beautiful window your daughter created, she is very talented,, I like to see others desk as well, I have yet to see someone paint at the kitchen table as I do,, I wonder why that is, lol,,
ReplyDeleteMuffy looks adorable as always and I hope who ever is ill in your family is on the rosey road to recovery!
I actually paint on my kitchen table throughout the winter months Laurie. I'm not wanting to paint too far away from the cozy wood burner during the chilly months. There's something homely and comforting painting whilst the fire is dancing before me.
DeleteI'll be moving back into the art studio soon now as the weather has finally moved into spring.
Thanks for your comment on our family member... it was my MIL and thankfully she is getting stronger with each day.
You daughter looks soooo much like you!! She is quite the artist. Apple(blossom) does not fall far from the tree🤗.
ReplyDeleteDo you think so Minnemie, I'm not sure how she'll react to that ;D
DeleteShe certainly is the artist. Bless you for your lovely comment.
Your daughter did a beautiful job of that window!
ReplyDeleteDidn't she just Debra,
DeleteI'm so pleased for her because just by looking at her reflection I know she's in a happy place.
That window is looking fab! Loving the fox illustrations., along with those great photos and the adorable birds in the nest. Hope all is improving for your relative. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda, I love the window and fox too.
DeleteThankfully my MIL is doing much better at the moment.
Happy PPF to you
I love that window so much... I especially love the black and white...so current and fun!! Your little water colours are sweet...maybe your mojo is taking a much needed rest...they do that at times...ready for the next spell!! Love the photos and Muffy is the sweetest!! Although I thought I detected a little wrinkled nose of annoyance from her! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHugs Giggles
I love the window too Giggles,
DeleteI hope my mojo comes back soon. It's going to have quite a time to get back in because my days seem full without it. I've obviously got to juggle a few things to make space for it.
I was carrying Muffy whilst trying to capture her and the flowers. She had given up walking on the gravel pathway so I had to come to the rescue. She just wanted me to carry on walking!
Wonderful picture - my favorite you may ask? Why Muffy of course! I could just kiss that little nose!
ReplyDeleteSandy xx
I would know without asking Sandy... she's obviously worked her magic on you. Kissing that nose is very special let me tell you!
DeleteYour daughter's artwork is amazing--love that window!
ReplyDeleteBaby birds are always a spirit lifter.
I hope the person you visited is better now. I imagine Muffy is glad to be home, too.
Enjoy your catching up on home turf. :)
Aww thanks Rita, I'll pass on your compliments
DeleteI've got lots of baby birds around here at the moment. At the front of the house in a tree near the driveway one of our bird boxes have baby blue tits. The parents are doing an incredible job at feeding them. They're like a tag team... and this morning I saw one of our woodpeckers feeding a baby in the garden.
Thankfully my MIL is much better at the moment and yes Muffy is happy to be home, although she was brilliant whilst away. She coped well with so much travelling and new places. I keep forgetting that she's 12 years old and probably would just like to stay where she knows best... but she shouldn't act so puppy-like!
Yes you are always missed. Hope your relative is feeling better now.
ReplyDeleteVery nice art by your daughter and the photos are awesome! Have a great weekend.
Aww bless you Nicole,
DeleteThankfully my MIL is a little better at the moment.
Thanks for your compliment on my daughter's artwork and photos.
I hope your weekend is great too.
Beautiful photos, especially of the nestlings. Your daughter's art looks impressive, talented like her mom!
ReplyDeleteAww bless you Indira, that's quite a compliment.
DeleteSeeing those tiny wren's was very special. I've never seen them that small before.
the view of the hills is gorgeous :D I love seeing other people's desk, its great to see how other people work :)
ReplyDeleteI think exactly the same Jennifer. I also like to see work in progress too. This makes me interested doesn't it?... not nosy? ;D
DeleteHow lovely to see the finished Berlin window - hats off to your daughter! I would love to go to Berlin - we should go! Wishing good health to you all.
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing your Jenny Wren!
Wren x
You mean to say you've never been Wren? (neither have I by the way) Well I thought with all of your travels that you'd have been there. Okay well we're going to have to get that sorted eh?
DeleteI thought of you when I saw that gorgeous wren nest and those cute fledglings.
The window looks wonderful, such a beautiful design! I always like seeing other people's workplaces too, those foxes are lovely. Great photos, I love that big dark sky!
ReplyDeleteI loved the design too Nordljus. I was so thrilled for her seeing her doing what she loves best... even on holiday!
DeleteThanks for your lovely comment and visit.
Beautiful window, cute foxes and adorable pooch.
ReplyDeleteA hat trick then Fran... hehe

Your daughter is super talented! Obviously a mother's influence. :)
ReplyDeleteAww bless you Morag, I'm thrilled she is doing what she loves (she also a lawyer so the art makes her heart sing)
DeleteShe's on a different level than me though. I'm very proud of her (and my son!)
