My Sunday Photos... My Sister's Garden

I'm away visiting family at the moment, so I've not had much time to write blog posts, but here's a few photo's from my sister's garden.
There are actually three squirrels that visit the garden regularly.
The top quality birdseed might have something to do with it!
Both my sister and I haven't got a clue as to what the above plant is called, but if you know then please put us out of our misery and let us know in the comments below.
The orchid is on it's second flowering.
It obviously likes the kitchen windowsill.
Here's the beautiful pink ballerina ... the fuchsia.
And finally the bluebells.
Don't you just love spring?
Muffin's certainly enjoying her holiday... she's even had a brief holiday romance with Dexter!
But she's sworn me to secrecy.
And tomorrow there's to be a new puppy introduced to the family.
No doubt there'll be photo's soon.
Welcome 'Woody'

Now it's time to link up 'My Sunday Photo' with Photoalife once again.
I'm also linking up with Mersad over at Through my lens

Have a wonderful weekend and I hope to be back again soon.

  1. The flower photos are beautiful but I do always like a good squirrel photo. Such elusive creatures.

    1. Thanks Tim, my sister doesn't agree on the elusive bit as she has three that are virtually eating every ounce of birdseed she puts out in her feeders.

Her garden is stunning and there's a large pond too. Hours of dedication have certainly paid off.

    1. Thanks Sarah,
I was pleased to capture this little dude although my sister isn't too enamoured with him. He's greedy!

  5. Hi Neesie, some lovely photos.I have no idea what that interesting looking plant could be. We had a big pink fuchsia bush in the garden when I was growing up and the flowers were often picked and played with as ballerinas, such pretty flowers.

I hope Woody settles into his new home nicely and doesn't create any havoc!

    1. Thanks Debbie for your kind comment. I'm still no nearer to finding out the name of that plant, but I hope it will be happy here in my plot and I can keep researching it.
Woody is my nephew and his partners dog and he is being well looked after. They've wanted a dog for as long as I can remember so I'm happy that Woody arrived. He's settled in really well. Hours of fun ahead!

Quite a few hours are spent on it's upkeep, but it is a beautiful garden. Good therapy too. I love visiting it!

    1. Thanks Rita,
They are beautiful flowers and so many different varieties. It was hard choosing which to feature.
Woody is my nephews puppy. He moved into his own place this year with his partner and she agreed that he could have a dog. He's wanted one all of his life so I'm really happy he's finally managed it. Woody will have a wonderful life full of love and adventures.

    1. I may well have caught them off my sister as she's five years older than me. It certainly helps when you're unsure about a plant or what to do about something... she's there to help. I think my Grandmother's love of the garden must have rubbed off on us because my parents weren't great gardeners.

    1. Ooh I don't think they'll be pups Margaret, although that might have been a good idea years ago. Muffy is getting on a little for pups. She's on her way to her 13th birthday in December.

  22. Plant you don't know is Pulsatilla Vulgaris, after flowering. Flowering looks like on my photos:

    1. I'm a little confused Sasa because this plant doesn't come to flower and these are what remains... these are the actual flowers!
After this stage they then go to wispy white seeds (a little like a dandelion seed head) and then they are blown away to reseed.

Are those the Clematis flowers after finishing blooming?
    Enjoy your visit...

    1. Well they certainly do look similar to the Clematis flower Linda, but I have a Clematis quite near and they are different.
It's a mystery, but I'll keep researching it until I find out. My sister was given some of them free, so we don't have a label or any details.
