Yesterday was the first time, so to celebrate I thought I'd post it for my Sunday Photo and link up with Photalife.
The ruin you can see in this photo is part of an old barn that is actually situated in my garden.
I love this reminder of days gone by, when the grounds were part of a working farm.
Today I'm also linking up with Mersad over at Through my lens,
Today I'm also linking up with Mersad over at Through my lens,
Thanks for stopping by my place.
I hope you enjoy glorious sunrises and sunsets in this coming week.
A beautiful sunset, and how lovely that the weather has noticeably warmed up these past few days!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tim, I'm so happy to see sunrises and sunsets once again. Due to the awful weather we haven't seen any for quite some time.
DeleteWhat a gorgeous sunset and your garden must be stunning if it has an old ruin in it. Beautiful shot x
ReplyDeleteThanks... well I think it is pretty special Tracey, but it can require a serious amount of work. Now that the weather has started to improve I will need to be a busy bee... out there at every opportunity.
DeleteIt's a good job I like it!
Wow!That is a beautiful sunset photo, Denise. T love the silhouette of the barn too. xx
ReplyDeleteI have rather a soft spot for my ruined barn Melody. There's also another on the other side of our grounds but unfortunately that is just rubble on the ground. Lots of brilliant rocks if we ever decide to build a pond though.
DeleteThis is simply stunning I love the colours in the sky and that beautiful barn silhouette
ReplyDeleteThanks, I love to see sunrises and sunsets and just can't help but photograph them. I must have literally hundreds if not thousands of them.
DeleteSuch a beautiful sunset...I like the silhouette of the barn x
ReplyDeleteI'm very attached to our ruined barn Kim,
DeleteI think it sets the sunset off really well.
Hi Neesie, a really beautiful shot. Love the silhouettes against the beautifully coloured sky. Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie, I just can't resist a beautiful sunset!
DeleteLook at you go, first off the blocks with your MySUNDAYphoto linky and with your beautiful sunset, may your week be full of them Neesie!
ReplyDeleteWren x
Hehe... No-one was more surprised than me to be first on the linky Wren. So far since this first sunset we've seen one every night now that the temperature has thankfully started to rise.
DeleteLong may they continue!
Wow! I love a good sunset - this is stunning. Sarah #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteSo do I Sarah, I just can't resist trying to capture them.

ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful sunset and the silhouette of the barn really sets it off :) x
It's amazing just how many functions this old ruined barn can fill. I love it's big personality and it certain adds something special to our garden.
DeleteI live a beautiful sunset photo, particularly when captured so well x
ReplyDeleteAww thank you Jo, I can't resist them either.
DeleteWow, what a beautiful sunset. You must have a lovely big garden #MySundayPhoto
ReplyDeleteThanks Jane, yep it's a sizeable plot that's constantly calling for my attention now that spring has sprouted!
DeleteYeah, that's a nice one!
ReplyDeleteHopefully they'll be many more Debra... especially now that spring has sprung!
DeleteThat is a stunning sunset. I don't get the horizon view any longer in the mornings. I miss it. All the colorful display is at the horizon and low in the sky. Thanks for sharing!! :)
ReplyDeleteAww that's a shame Rita... but then there are so many more advantages for where you are now. I'll be sure to keep taking them and sharing them with you!
DeleteI'm hoping there will be many more now that the spring weather has arrived. We had our hottest day of the year yesterday and both Muffy and myself made full use of it... in different ways obviously... she lay and rolled on the grass loving the warmth, whilst I weeded, dug borders and re-potted plants!
Next time I'd like to come back as a well pampered pooch please!
What a wonderful sunset! Good for you that you caught it (for us to enjoy, too).
ReplyDeleteHehe thanks Claudia, we see some spectacular sunrises and sunsets here so I'll try my best to capture the best and share them with the group.
DeleteWhat a beautiful sunset and the ruins add to the impressiveness of the photograph!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa,
DeleteIt's amazing just how much the old ruin adds to our garden. It has a big personality for sure. I love it.
Wow! It looks like a rather large barn - would dearly love to see your garden! Fabulous Photo!
ReplyDeletesandy xx
Well this is the smaller of the barns Sandy, but unfortunately the larger one is just rubble on the ground. I think they must have used some of it's stones for building the house.
DeleteI'm very attached to this ruin though. It's amazing how much it can add to a garden.
The gardens only just waking up ... so not really ready for opening to the public just yet. When it is then I'll try to remember to post a pic!
lovely photo :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer, I can't resist sunsets. As soon as I see the colours reflect into our family room... I'm out there ready to capture it!
