I've finally after 12 years found my art gene again. It got lost along the way with multipule house moves and just life in general. But that was yesterday....
I went along to a line drawing workshop last Sunday and that finally got the creative juices flowing once more. I then thought to make sure I keep crafty it would be a good idea to join WOYWW.
I have this brilliant studio which is just crying out to be loved....I hope that this space will soon be a swamp of creative art work ; D
Welcome to WOYWW im sure you will become addicted and get loads of inspiration from the desk you see.You have such a wonderful craftroom shame not to get creative.Hope to see you next time!
ReplyDeleteHave fab wednesday and creative week hugs judex 9
Hi Jude, thanks for stopping by and leaving such encouragement. I feel very privileged to have such a lovely space, so intend to use it!
DeleteI can see how addictive this will become. ;D
Welcome Nessie to WOYWW, be warned its very addictive, but lovely fun! beautiful art work I see on your desk today, you look as though you are having fun, Have a great week, Hugs May x x x x
ReplyDeleteHello May and thanks for your welcome. I believe you about the warning. I've got to visit everyone's desk now, but I think it'll be fun.
DeleteThanks for your compliments about my work (although it hardly seem like work) I'm thrilled and amazed by everyone's reaction, which is so encouraging.
I hope your week is going well and I hope to visit you soon :D
I love WOYWW - I follow so many craft blogs but don;t have one of my own - I am struggling between crafting and baking at the moment - which one will win out??!!?? Love the designs you are working on though, so talented.
ReplyDeleteYour very kind Chele...I can understand your dilemma because I've had the same thing over the years. I just couldn't get to the craftiness. But now I think it's time and I feel I've come home.
DeleteYou are such a talented skilled baker and I think that is a fine art so your already crafting.
Have fun and thanks for stopping by ;D
Such a beautiful area, it needs to be loved and used more, I am glad you found the art again. Am following you both on your blog and Pinterest and hope to see more of your creative side come out! waving hi from the beautiful hills of North Carolina :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sandee,
DeleteWow the beautiful hills of North Carolina, now that sounds inspiring!
Don't you just love this internet thingy...bringing people together from all corners of the world. I find it fascinating.
Hmm...following me on the blog and Pinterest...I better get busy ;)
The studio is a great room and yes needs to be loved. I plan to give it lots of attention whilst I'm here. I may never have this kind of space again...so there's no excuse.
Thank you so much for popping by and saying 'hello'. I really love to hear from everyone out there.
Waving back to you and the beautiful view of the hills until next time :D
What a fabulous crafty-space, all ready to get nice and messy!! Welcome to WOYWW it's VERy addictive! Have a great crafty week! HaPpY WoYwW
ReplyDelete((Lyn)) #26
oops...is that an I or a J ...
Hello Spyder....thanks for popping by. I normally try and rid my house of spiders but I'm happy that you came to visit! ;)
DeleteIt sounds like I'm going to have a busy but great time visiting WOYWW. Everyone has been so welcoming.
I'm away now to try and mess my workspace a little ~ as you say it's far too clear
It's a #1 for my first posting to WOYWW. Have fun creating and hopefully we'll chat again soon ;D
Wow what a beautiful space to create in Nd those drawings look superb!
ReplyDeleteI feel very fortunate to have a whole room which is so airy, light and spacious to play in. When we moved into this house in July I couldn't believe that it had a studio. I kept putting myself off spending time in there...fool that I am! The guilt used to sit heavy but not anymore. It's time to use the space....whoopdeedoo!
DeleteIn fact after I've answered all the lovely comment of encouragement, praise and welcome messages, I'm off to indulge.
Bring it on I say!!!
I hope you're having a crafty week Catie Cuddles and thanks for stipping by...I really appreciate it. :D
I can't wait to get to know you through WOYWW! It looks like you have an amazing studio space in which to work, I mean play in!
ReplyDeleteJulie
Hi Julie, thanks for popping in ~ it's so nice to have you visit.
DeleteI know I'm very lucky having this space and that's one of the reason's I gave a firm talking to myself!
People would give up so much to have this space and I wasn't even using it.
It wasn't for the want of trying, but I just didn't have my head in the right place until I went to the workshop.
What you see in the photo is only one corner. I know how lucky am I? I'll let you see snippets as I post to WYOWW ;)
I'm away now to produce another drawing I think, or it could be scrapbook work, or silk painting...ahh...sheer bliss.
I also need to visit everyone else over at WYOWW.
Have a great week and hopefully we'll chat again soon :D
Your studio looks lovely! And after have a bit of a peek around your blog, I think you will have it full of wonderful creations in no time at all! Love your blog and I joined so as not to lose track of you!
ReplyDeletexoxo Karen (#179 this week)
Hi Karen, I'm so glad you took a peek into my blog and liked what you saw. I'm thrilled that you joined and don't want to lose track of me...how cute is that? :D
DeleteI am having such fun in the land of Blog....I can't imagine how I managed before and now I've started creating art too, it's like I've won the lottery.
I hope you are having a great week and that we can chat again soon ;D
Your artwork looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth, I'm really having fun...although it is a challenge to fit it into the daily schedule. :D
DeleteLove that studio, what a fantastic place to create in, hope the art genes come rushing through the door to keep you company. WOYWW is a blast every week, so much fun stuff going on and so many talented people. 22 years an ex-pat, it'll be 18 for me this July, my how the time flies! Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Brenda 6
Hehe thanks Brenda...I'm not sure the art genes are rushing through the door but they are persistently knocking!
DeleteI'm determined to answer ;)
I have started to work my way through the WYOWW list and yes you're right there's an amazing amount of talent out there. So much inspiration.
We'll have to check if we've been an expat in the same locations?
Thanks for popping by and leaving your comment ~ I really appreciate it. Enjoy your weekend :D
Hello Nessie! I LOVE your drawings...how lovely! That's wonderful that you are getting your 'creative juices' flowing again...I can't wait to see what you come up with :) I need to get mine flowing again too...it's been a while since I've done anything creative other than working in the gardens and goodness knows it's hard to get creative when it's 110C out side. I've started drawing a Beatrix Potter picture for my newest Grandson...now I need to finish it. I'll have to keep tabs on this WOYWW thing now that I know what it is ;) Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteMaura :)
Hi Maura, so happy you visited and left such lovely comments.
DeleteI think you're creative juices are constantly flowing by the look of your farm...the renovations, decorating, planting, blog etc etc. Not to mention all your Christmas decorations!
I'd love to see your Beatrix Potter picture when it's finished. Maybe you should join WYOWW too.
I decided to join WYOWW so that it would make me continue with the arty stuff. At least every Wednesday I will have to open up my studio to what I've doing and I'm determined after trying to get back to silk painting and struggling, this might just be what I need.
I'm amazed by how much talent there is out there and so many diverse crafts.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks once again :D
Hello! Ooh your work looks fab as does your studio, I've become a follower too. Take care, enjoy this WOYWW, it's now Thursday afternoon & I'm still doing the snooping bit, all but in shifts! Zo xx 60
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely Zo, thank you for stopping by and becoming a follower.
DeleteI get so excited when I see a new face.
I'm slowing trying to visit everyone's desk too. There's some amazing talent out there which can only inspire.
Have fun and enjoy your visits...I hope you enjoy following and hopefully we'll chat again soon :D
I'm so happy that you've found your mojo again! It's always inspiring to hear how other people are allowing their creativity to blossom - I am sooooooo eager to see your creations! Don't keep us waiting to long now ya hear!! :-) xx
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to get into the studio today but the clocks ticking. Maybe if I take the batteries out of it! Hmm....
DeleteThanks for stopping by :D
you have an excellent space, lots of room, and a sink as well? I can only dream, lol
ReplyDeleteI for tell lots of beautiful things coming from this space, now get creating!!!
I'm on my way Laurie, :D
DeleteI'll let you see more of the room later...the photo I used is just one corner.
I'll let you come and paint with me? How about that?
You have played a big part in helping me get into this space quite literally, so I thank you. xoxo
Hi Neesie, thanks for your visit to my space and welcome to WOYWW. You'll have fun taking part and nosying around everyone else's. My, oh, my, your's looks tidy but bet I could mess it up for you PDQ!! Looks like you are doing Zentangles there.
ReplyDeleteJust a tip and hope you don't mind my saying....it's best if you leave replies on the other person's blog as most people don't return to that post for a reply.
Hope to spy on you again, JoZarty x
Hi JoZarty,
DeleteMy space isn't as tidy now that I've been to the Art Supplier but I need to organise the space before I really get going...
I certainly don't mind any tips that you might have as I seem to be learning constantly whilst blogging.
The only trouble is the time aspect...I'm really struggling trying to fit everything in ;D
Great to have you visit and hope to chat again soon :D
Lucky you! That's one big art space, just waiting to be filled!!! And those line drawings are amazing! If that's you just finding your mojo, I can't wait to see what happens in a few weeks! Welcome to woyww.....it's a fun and surprising group! thanks for the visit.
ReplyDeleteI know I really am lucky Terrie and that's why I thought it was sacrilegious not to use the space, especially when I've been craving to get back to painting. I wouldn't have believed that it's been 12 years since I last picked up a paintbrush...if the picture didn't state the date!
DeleteThanks for being so encouraging and supportive ~ I really appreciate it.
WOYWW does sound like it’s going to be great fun and it'll certainly keep me focused :D
Line drawing, how very interesting. And they have workshops for that. so cool.
ReplyDeleteHi Joynana,
DeleteIt was on a whim that I signed up but I'm so glad I did. Everything since then seems to have clicked into gear.
Thanks for stopping by ~ I really appreciate it ;D
Hi Neesie,
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me and welcome to WOYWW! Beware, it can be very addictive, hehe! Your workspace looks great and as soon as I saw how bright the room looked, with natural light, I immediately thought "Australian" and sure enough, here you are joining the growing number of us doing WOYWW! Fabulous! To follow (or join in ... there is no deadline, or rules either) the altered book project, follow the link to Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog for all the details. Hey, you are the first person to mention my virtual bookshelf and it has been there for ages! Happy WOYWW! RosA#16
Hi RosA,
DeleteI now know what everyone was saying about WOYWW being addictive...I can't get to do any drawing because I'm trying to sneek a peek at everyone's work!
As you say the light is incredible here ~ which makes all the difference and inspire.
I'll take a look at the altered book project, if I can work some extra free time...it's not looking good at the moment :$ but thanks for giving me the info.
I'm really into books so your virtual bookshelf just jumped out at me. So many books...so little time!
I hope your weekend is going well and thanks again for stopping by :D
Hope your mojo kicks into high gear and that you are soon working through lots of lovely, new ideas.
ReplyDeleteHi Scrappymo...I'm pleased to report my mojo has kicked in...I've managed to do two new designs today ;)
DeleteI snook away when no-one was looking and rattled through them ~ hehe
I'll hopefully have some to show and tell next Wednesday.
Thanks for your comment. I really appreciate you stopping by :D
Have a great weekend!
Hi wow you have such a lovely crafty space to work in, your art work is fab
ReplyDeleteAnne-marie no 17
Thanks for stopping by Anne-marie...I know I'm very lucky.
DeleteI actually spent some time in there again yesterday...sigh...
Have a great weekend :D
Hi Neesie - hope you enjoy your time on WOYWW and post week after week like all the other crazy crafters like me.
ReplyDeleteI see you live in Melbourne, my family first went there when they emigrated but now live in and around Sidney areas.
Nice to see you have found Mr , great artwork on your desk which will soon become as untidy/busy as everyone elses.
Have a lovely day/week - see you next Wednesday.
Hugs, Neet xx
ps it's a good idea to see what number you come up as on a Wednesday (Mr Linky) and then put it behind your name when you comment - makes it so easy to send a comment back to you.
Hi Neet, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I'm always so thrilled to meet everyone.
DeleteI am having a great time and snook into the studio again yesterday to finish off another design, which I hope to post next Wednesday :)
Thanks for your help with the numbering system. I thought that's what you do, but I made a complete booboo with my first posting to WOYWW and had two numbers (quick far apart) so didn't include them...what a numpty? But I'm okay now I think...well we'll see on Wednesday!
Have a great week Neet and hopefully see you again soon :D
ok your desk is too clean lol. It is a tradition to have a messy desk-like mine- lol. Welcome to WOYWW, you will love it here.
ReplyDeleteLine drawing!! is that like Zentangles, I cant really get the hang of zentangles. What is that strange looking thing up leaning against the wall on the counter top? So glad you found your mojo, I lost mine for 2 years and only found it last Sep.
Bridget #56
Hi Bridget, I know my desk is a little uncluttered but I'm going to try and mess it up as soon as possible. Promise!
DeleteI hadn't heard about Zentangles until I googled it. I just thought it was line drawings...see I know nothing!
The strange thing on the counter top is a frame that I use for silk painting. It's sadly neglected right now.
Have a good week :D
Hi Neesie and welcome to WOYWW! If you keep posting on WOYWW, you'll be more creative because we don't like showing an empty desk do we? How wonderful to have an art studio that's waiting to be filled! Mine is too full already, I have to clean up! But i'm not complaining! Patsy from
ReplyDeleteHeARTworks
That was one of the reasons why I joined WOYWW so that it would keep me motivated. It seems to be working so far...
DeleteI have been into the studio twice over the weekend so it's all good.
I don't want to rush things ~ not after 12 years, so I'll fill it as I go.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting Patsy...I really appreciate it and thanks for the welcome. :D
Hi Neesie, sorry I am so late in visiting for WOYWW... love your big airy studio and fabby huge desk... definitely a place to create lovely things!!
ReplyDeleteOh don't worry, I'm just glad that you stopped by...I've not got to visit half of the WOYWW posts. I'll have to try again this next week.
DeleteI hope to create lovely things in my studio but only time will tell. I have no excuse becausee the rooms perfect!
Hope your week goes well ~ see you on Wednesday no doubt :D
