What's On Your Workdesk - WOYWW #173

Can you believe it? WOYWW is here already...
Everyone get ready...https://secure.quebles.com/content/hotmail/emoticons/1508619.gif and open your door to let visitors in from all over the world.
The WOYWW gang love to snoop see what you've been up to (creatively that is) and see what's been happening on your work desk this week!
But first I have to apologise to everyone I didn't get to visit last week...
I confess that at the moment I'm being totally self-indulgent because having all my family under one roof is so special that I want to make the most of it!
I make no excuses I'm just devoting all my time to this for now...but I will get back to you...I promise.
So what's on my desk this week?
Well not a lot really...in fact I'm not actually at a desk at the moment!
We've been away for a few days...(see previous posts if you want a nosey) so we've been catching up at home today...but the beautiful blue sky and sunshine kept calling me outside...so what's a girl to do?
Give in I say...https://secure.quebles.com/content/hotmail/emoticons/1508618.gif ...so I did!

(Note I don't get to have a cushion!)

I know it's a little naughty to post such a lovely desk....but then you have to remember we've just come out of winter here, so the springyness has made us all slightly lightheaded and crazy!
Yep even more crazy than usual ~ eek...now that's a scary thought.

I've not much art to show you at the moment..although I did start a sketch here...
My aim is to try to loosen up whilst sketching so to send me crazy 'help' my daughter wouldn't even let me use an eraser!
(I know....I've never liked her!)
It was touch and go who or what would end up in the pool first...the journal, my sketch, me or my daughter!
I found it incredibly difficult and scary to start...and I know I've got a long way to go...

...so that's it folks possibly my shortest WOYWW post ever!
Pretty unusual for me huh?

If you're new to the term WOYWW (What's on your Workdesk Wednesday) or just here for the first time then you'll wonder what on earth I'm referring to....basically Julia at Stamping Ground thought up this amazing desk hop, nosey thingy party that happens every Wednesday and its a BIG hit!
So if you want to see lots of creative artists/crafters work just nip over to take a look at their desks.
There's so much talent and inspiration out there plus they're a friendly bunch and would love to see you.
Have a wonderful Wednesday and I'll hopefully see you soon.

  1. I bet it's nice to be home even though you were in paradise. I had a look at all those photos and it's magnificent. I had a closer look at your drawing and it's gorgeous, I can't wait to see it finished and close up. Not playing this week, running around with little Miss. School holidays, bummer!!!
    Have fun.

I'm not exactly playing myself this week and haven't produced anything arty really all week. We're just collecting lots of inspiration. That sketch unfortunately isn't mine :(
We're away again shortly so yet again spinning all the plates to fit everything in!
Enjoy little Miss...even though school hols can be trying...they soon grow up. My little miss is 27 now! I have no idea how that happened because I'm only 19!!!!
Have fun and I'll catch up with you soon :D

    1. Hi Joynana,
I didn't expect that we would all be together until Christmas either but then this surprise visit came up.
We treasure family time together so we're all making the most of it.

I love to spend time in any garden...so appreciate the wonderful space I have here.
Although I don't want Christmas here just yet (we've only just started spring) I know the time will go so quickly so you'll soon have your family with you ;D
Have fun with WOYWW ~ enjoy!

  13. Family first lovely. Great pics, nice to see you are finally feeling Spring, but can we have some warmth back please? Ha ha, it's gone down hill here to point where I had to pop the heating on, it was just too cold when showering etc. Am starting to feel a little better, in my head at least, body still not working so mum is having to push me around in the blue wheels but hey tis life, got to get on with it! Right you, enjoy time with your little miss and don't worry about the art, it'll still be there later. Take care Zo xx 73

We are still needing the heating on in the evenings though, so there's still a way to go but its heading in the right direction! ;D
I'm so glad to hear you're feeling better...if you get the right mind set then the rest will follow I'm sure :D
I hear blue wheels are all the rage anyway!
I'm seeing so much inspiration its untrue so hopefully it'll keep me going for months to come!
Have a great week whatever you are up to...I'll pop across as soon as I can. Have fun!

I've wanted a wisteria for years and I did have a very small one in my garden in Scotland, but this one here is a very well established one and probably been in the garden since the house was built!

Happy WOYWW to you too...have fun! :D

  15. Beautiful picture Nessie! I love the wisteria with all its new growth and the reflections from the pool. Lazy pup should give up the cushion to Mom! Right just like my cats do. We are starting to wind down our summer here in Oklahoma and the days while still quite warm (90f/32c) are countered by the cooler nights(62f/16c) making life bearable again. I have some plants that are starting to go by and trees are losing their leaves so winter is a coming. Have a great week. Vickie #87

What a shame about your wisteria not flowering. We wait all year for these things and then puff...they're gone for another year.
Maybe if I tell you that all those petals fall in the pool and have to be scooped out by someone (namely me) then you might not be so envious! ;D

I'm not much of sketch artist and find it hard to imagine what it would be like to draw without an eraser for the "mistakes" but having said that I think it's very freeing and a great idea. Kinda reminds us to just let go and allow the spirit of art to carry us away. It must be so very special to be sharing this time with your loved ones.
